♥ : What kinds of characters are the most fun for you to write for?

Murder hobos. Lmfao. 

It sounds so bad, but honestly... characters similar to Kane I enjoy the most. He is a murder hobo, but I also... try to make him relatable in some ways? Like, I’ve given him more than enough fat attacks because of his love for cupcakes. Often duelling to get the last cupcake, cursing at birds because they can fly... and he can’t. Okay, those things aren’t relatable. But you get the gist of it. So the characters I have the most fun writing are ones I can laugh at, ones that can laugh at themselves... they just happen to be murder hobos. Lol.

Fury

It started as a kindling, barely alight, but still it remained despite the tears that tried to dampen it. Despite the sadness and darkness that tried to suffocate it. It didn’t burn bright when the other stages were still being processed, but when they came and went was when it had its time to shine. A kindling that turned into a flame, a flame that flickered so bright as it burned with a fury not known to her before. A flame of fury that wouldn’t go out until it had settled the score. It burned for revenge and it burned for blood and nothing would stop it, not even the woman it burned within. One day the fury will overcome her and it will be released within an unstoppable rage, but until then.. It burns.

“I try not to break down or fall apart. But... mention family and I just might. It’s my weakness. I still care for them even if they hate me for what I’ve become.” Essy brings a hand up to her cheek, stopping a tear from falling. “See? Talk about my family and I start to fall apart. Someone who’s like a parent to my muse

There is not really anyone that I’ve written with that fills that role for Risri. More often than not she is filling that role. Part of it is that most of the people she interacts with daily are younger than her and part of it is my RL mom-ness coming out.

Would I want that for Risri?  Yes, if someone could actually write a believable mentor for her I think I would want that experience and relationship for her.

I actually answered this, but then hit the back button.  D’oh.6. See an aurora.  Any aurora.  I’m not picky.

8. Oldest piece I have period is probably… I mean, I won’t count jewelry for this, but I have a vintage Hermes silk scarf that is of questionable aesthetics, even for the 90s.  It’s russet brown and has soviet-block print lettering on a French compass.  I like it because I cracked up when I read ONO OSO before figuring out those were directions.

183.  I can be pretty jealous but do a good job of keeping it in check.

200.  Man, I don’t know, I’m boring AF.  I… was an extra in a crappy 90s Robin Williams movie and if you pause at just the right time, you can clearly see 7 year old me getting a gift from Santa?  I think a kid in my class’ dad worked on the set and got us in.  That movie had Tori Amos in it before I could appreciate Tori Amos.

16: Biggest and smallest long term goal?

    Darenis had to think about this one. Biggest long term goal? Smallest long term goal? Goodness, what was there to say? He had ideas, but were they really worth saying?     “Well, obviously, my biggest would be the one I’ve had for a while. I don’t know if I ever said it to you, but I know I’ve shared it. It would be nice to take care of a home, a garden, and a bunch of animals while loving and being loved on by two husbands. I don’t know how I’m going to get that last part, but!” Oh, he looked so excited. “I’m working on getting my own house right now! So there’s that! And I guess that sort of ties into the smallest? You know, being able to keep up with life while dealing with my aches and pains. Trying to keep happy and take life one step at a time still. Even if it means pissing people off along the way.” Darry shrugged before laughing.

✓ - Has your muse ever lost anyone they cared about on the battlefield? Do they feel responsible?

When first joining the Grand Alliance Military, Alexa worked her way through the lower ranks by manning the crow’s nest on a number of Captain’s ships. Even her youth, she had a natural ability to accurately hit targets from an extended amount of distance with relative ease. The military willingly moved her about during the Northrend campaign, especially when initially breaching the shores of Howling Fjord. 

While still considered a naval unit, she often occupied Marines and their squadrons onto the cursed shores of frozen Northrend. In doing such, she developed a strong bond with a woman named Amelia Armstrong during borrowed time in chaotic Northrend. Both young, and rather foolish, after a few months they eloped despite the evident disapproval of everyone around them.

During the invasion of Icecrown and Wrathgate, Alexa had already started the formal process of withdrawing herself from the military due to her newfound beloved. An obvious rift started to form between the two women, eventually leading to a rather heated argument before Amelia was sent to the front lines. 

Due to her stubborn nature, Alexa was not among the particular patrol that fell that day. Instead of occupying the ridge that oversaw the battlefield she was tending to the wounded back at day camp. The news of Amelia’s death was delivered by the lone survivor of the Scourge, a young Gilnean that was carried in by another Alliance patrol later that evening.

Needless to say, the Admiral never forgave herself for not being there at the right moment.
