Richard Petty and Buddy Baker lead the pack early in the 1971 Atlanta 500! Petty led 59 laps, but it would be pole sitter A.J. Foyt who would win that day. Foyt led 205 of the 328 laps driving the number 21 for Wood Brothers Racing. There were 23 lead changes in the race and the average speed was 131.375 mph.

Winter is here, and it's time to wear warm and stylish winter coat. But with so many different styles and materials to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. Here is a guide to choosing the right women's winter coat for your needs.
click on the link in bio to know more and Follow @sleek_and_snazzy for more winter clothing ideas.
Consider the climate Where do you live? How cold does it get in the winter? If you live in a cold climate, you'll need a coat that is made from a warm, choose a material such as wool . If you live in a milder climate, you may be able to get away with a lighter coat, such as a puffer jacket or a peacoat.
Think about your lifestyle What do you do on a daily basis? Do you need a coat that is comfortable to walk in? Do you need a coat that is waterproof? Do you need a coat that is dressy enough to wear to work? Consider your lifestyle when choosing a coat so that you can find one that is both functional and stylish.
Choose the right material As mentioned above, wool and down are two of the warmest materials for winter coats. Wool is also naturally water-resistant, making it a good choice for wet weather. Other popular materials for winter coats include polyester, nylon, and faux fur.
Consider the fit Your coat should fit snugly but not too tightly. You should be able to move around freely in your coat without feeling restricted. The coat should also be long enough to cover your hips and buttocks.
Look for features that are important to you Some winter coats come with additional features, such as hoods, pockets, and zippers. Choose a coat with the features that are important to you.

David Pearson and Richard Petty finished one-two 63 times. They finished in this particular order 33 times.
How’s this for a crazy stat…93 of Richard Petty’s 200 Cup wins came in races where David Pearson wasn’t in the field.
Pearson only scored eight of his 105 Cup wins in races were Petty wasn’t entered. The “what if” list is long in the history of NASCAR, but it’s almost inconceivable to think what the record books may look like if Pearson desired to run full time in the seventies.

love seeing us rebloging and linking some of the same stuff from different source blogs lol. stancest is truly alive and well <3
(and shoutout to those who reblogged the stuff in the first place!! means a lot even if it doesn't feel like it!)
Yes, it's so nice! I'm glad that despite all of the deactivations, so many of these blogs are still around (and that so many people thought to archive stuff in the wayback machine back in the day)! Really cool seeing what we have that has overlapped and what we've found that's unique! Thanks for joining in today! 🩷🩷🩷
