Through Your Eyes by Regen. Soulmate AU. Similar to the Voiceverse concept where only one soulmate perceives the other in dreams.

^Where the Winds of Fortune Take Me by queenofkadara, Shoute. F!Hawke, Pirate AU! I am quite not sure if Cullen/Lavellan or Hawke/Fenris is the main pairing, and haven't finished reading this 300k+ word epic, but it's an enjoyable, fluffy read with some steamy art *fans self*. The Renegade won’t be that. but if i ever finish and post it, it will easily clear 100k and then some. why am i like this. save me.

Seasonal WIP Update

Hey friends, lurkers, and those who have yet to decide if they want to follow this hot mess...

It’s that time of year when I give you guys an idea of what I’m working on and what you can expect to see in the near (and probably far) future. I just wanted to clear things up for anyone following me from specific fandoms, and want to know if I was going to make anymore content for that fandom. The answer is: Yes. I’ve got something (or multiple somethings depending on the fandom) for everyone sooooo without further ado, let’s go to the breakdown!

Drarry

Big Bang - Despite the fest being over, this is still very much a WIP and probably will be for a while because it’s a lengthy project, and there’s large sections of the plot being rejigged. Est WC: 60-100k by the end. 

LCD Project - I had an idea for something for @lcdrarry a year or so ago and just never really plotted it out until this summer. I’ve got the first chapter or so written but have put it aside while I work through some other projects first. If all goes well I might try to submit it for LCD this coming year. Est WC: 50k ish. 

The incubi drabble - It’s on my list, and somehow I’ve completely forgotten to go back and finish this. Featuring Incubus!Draco (sort of), and prey!Harry. 

L.A. Devotee - Featuring Demon!Harry. It’s currently sitting around 10k ish? But got pushed way down the list when Big bang popped up. With any luck, I will have it finished and posted this year. Est WC: 50K+

Two Geldings... - The first chapter to this was already posted on AO3. I do have an outline for this and will get back to it, I swear, but it too got bumped down the list. We can all thank my ADHD for that. Featuring 8th Year Drarry taking care of magical horses. 

The Serial Killer project with @lyskari - Because we love writing really dark shit and planned this for whumptober and then we both subsequently got SUPER busy.  We will also be writing this eventually when things slow down. But I got a lot on my plate and I know they do too. 

Sirius/Charlie

Kiss your baby - This should actually be out pretty soon. It’s written, and we’re just going through some edits on it. I might add some extra bits here and there but it’ll likely be the first thing I post coming up. Possibly. 

Darklina

The Devil is a Gentleman - Currently a posted WIP, with chapter two finished. (Just need to actually edit it) Featuring Modern Au, COO!Aleksander, Engineer!Alina, and a bunch of tropes. 

The 50 Reasons to have sex series - In which I write Darklina drabbles/fics based on the ‘How I met your Mother’s’ 50 reasons to have sex list. Varied. Not all related. 

Merthur

The one where Arthur gets off to Merlin cussing - This one was supposed to be done already, technically it’s almost done. It just took a turn for the loving and soft which made me go... wait wtf just happened. SO I might have to pause that while I figure out what went wrong. 

The really special Christmas one - My plan is to start posting this on the 14th. I’m about 6 out of 12 chapters in, 18k I believe? I revised some stuff I just have to put a lot of time into it over the next few days in order to get it done done. 

Camboy!Arthur - What it says on the tin, but also features Roommate!Merlin and honestly? I think it’s going to be equal parts hilarious and sexy. It’s completely outlined and the first chapter or so is already done. But it was also put aside while I finish this christmas one. 

That College AU - Again, what it says on the tin + a large amount of just random plot. This has also been pushed to next year. 

That other College AU feat. Fratboy!Arthur with @zaharya - Who actually knows when we get to this one but it lives in my head rent free almost all the time. 

Witcher!Arthur - Is currently just a series of snippets that live in my docs. Will this ever see the light of day? maybe. I wouldn’t hold your breath for any time soon though. 

Geraskier

Our boys as Corpsekunno - The boys as youtube/streamers who flirt. Geralt is faceless but has a voice that destroys most people’s loins. Jaskier is the soft flirt who loves everyone. 

That’s not everything but those are the ones I’m really hoping to finish this coming year. Fingers crossed as many of them will probably take most of my sanity to finish. HOWEVER, I hope yall will stick with me for the ride regardless.

🌷 Define long fics 😁. The long fics I'm reading have chapters that range from 20 to 50; usually at 200-400K words 😁 (the one I tried catching up on just ended with 900k words!!! I'm 😣). Usually they're on AO3 too!

I'll probably create a post with these long fics but I just can't do it right now. You can tell me the range you are looking for (like maybe these are too long and you prefer 100k+ wc series? Or maybe 50k-100k?). I've actually added some long series in my monthly reading lists and I usually put the length + chapters. In the NAVI please check these too:

i’m not a consistent writer. i’ll go on a writing binge for three days where i’ll pump out 3000 words a day, then i won’t touch my wip for a month. so obviously, when i want to get involved in a long-lasting writing event, like nanowrimo, for instance... well, it gets complicated.

this year is my third nanowrimo. the first one, i don’t think i even reached 10k. last year, i got to 30k. this november, i’m planning around the same amount. nanowrimo for me always goes the same way: i’m super pumped about it the first days, if i’m lucky i’ll keep on schedule until about a week, but then i forget, slack off or just lose motivation, which results in my wc stagnating embarrasingly.

so in this post i’ll be giving tips to my fellow inconsistent writers for keeping up with nanowrimo this year!

↳ ੈ‧₊˚ ┊͙i. carry a notebook around

so, for us writers that can’t seem to keep to a schedule, the main problem is either a lack of inspiration or motivation. with the first one, it’s because most of us get inspiration by random spikes instead of a steady flow. to help with that, you have to be able to take advantage of those spikes.

always have a notebook and a pen on you, or the notes application on your phone near you, so whenever inspiration strikes, whether if it’s in the bus, at a cafe, even at the restroom, you can get that word count up.

↳ ੈ‧₊˚ ┊͙ii. have an actual schedule

yes, unfortunately, you can’t rely only on random inspiration spikes to write 50 000 words in a month, sorry. so even if you don’t feel like being restricted to a period of time to write, i feel like this can help a lot to increase your consistency.

pick out regular 30 to 60 minute-parts of your day (can be before you go to school/work of before you go to sleep) where you sit down and write. the first times, you might manage only 200 words and just angrily stare at your screen for the most part of it. but the more you do it, the more your brain will understand that, at this certain time, you’re asking it to be creative, and that might just be what you need to regulate your inspiration spikes.

↳ ੈ‧₊˚ ┊͙iii. talk about it

this is a huge part of motivation. find wrimos on instagram or any other social media, talk about it to your family and friends, follow the nanowrimo hashtag... share, share, share!

being vocal about it will make you more inclined to actually do it, since people are aware of it. also, seeing other people working on their novels/writing projects at the same time might be just the push you need to sit down at your desk and pull our your word document!

↳ ੈ‧₊˚ ┊͙iv. don’t worry.

and i cannot stress this enough. you are not any less valid as a writer if you stopped writing halfway through, or if you don’t reach 50k, or if you forget, or if you don’t have time.

nanowrimo is not a competition! it’s a way for writers around the world to make progress together! so no matter if you write 50k, 5k or 100k, you still improved, which is what it’s all about. do not stress about it!

There’s growing anger towards students around here. It’s a really mixed area with a lot of eastern europeans, and they’re increasingly united in a dislike of students. They’ve got a group that’s trying to to force the police and council to take action. 

The road isn’t as cheap as it was 10 years ago, fact. The wealthy students that live in gated communities like total fannies have pushed the price of things up. It needs to be cheap for the wc and wc immigrants. There are still charity shops, but one of em sells high end stuff, like it was flogging this 1970s sunburst clock for 70 quid. It’s a charity shop ffs. But it’s for those middle class retro loving “thrifters” that have shite tumblrs and too much disposable income.

People with money just ruin things. Even if it’s not that much, it fucks the local ecosystem. Like you’ve got wealthy londoners are casting around for sympathy after being priced out by the super rich. But when you earn 50-100k + you really fuck an area that’s full of people on 15-25k.

Chính sách cho Sale (kinh doanh) cửa hàng thế nào là hợp lý?

Sáng nay, đúng 1/1 của năm 2020, tôi đọc được câu hỏi của 1 bạn. Câu hỏi như sau:

Chào các ác anh/ chị HR. AC xem giùm em mức lương kpi cho sale mới vào nghề và cửa hàng mới khai trương như này có ok không ạ? 1. Hỗ trợ ăn trưa 750k/30 ngày 2. Thưởng chuyên cần 500k/26 ngày (nghỉ 1 ngày có phép trừ 150k. Nghỉ 2 ngày trừ gấp đôi 3 ngày là trừ hết cc, nghỉ 1 ngày ko phép trừ 300k 2 ngày ko phép trở lên trừ hết cc) 3. Thưởng tăng ca 400k/ tháng 4. Thưởng theo năng lực từ 100k ->500k (sale mới chắc đc khoảng 100-200k) 5. Xăng xe điện thoại 200k 6. Vậy là thay vì viết bài tổng kết (review) năm, tôi lại lọ mọ viết mấy dòng này. Hi vọng sẽ giúp được bạn. Để giải được tôi cần thêm dữ liệu như: lĩnh vực, loại sản phẩm, rồi doanh thu, doanh số … của cửa hàng. Tuy nhiên, nếu chờ đủ dữ liệu thì có lẽ chúng ta sẽ không thể nào hoàn thành công việc được. Vì thế chúng ta sẽ bắt đầu với dữ liệu trển và giả định mọi thứ đều hoàn hảo ở những thông tin còn thiếu.

Trước tiên tôi nhập chính sách của đầu bài vào file exel tính toán chính sách. Do quen với cách làm theo kiểu 3P nên tôi để chính sách theo đấy. Giả sử nhân viên sale cấp thấp nhất (level1) đạt được hết các điều kiện thì họ sẽ được: 1. Lương cơ bản - P1: 0,4 - P2: 0,1 2. Thưởng P3 - Chuyên cần: 0,5 - Tăng ca: 0,4 - Sáng kiến: 0,5 - Vệ sinh: 0,4 - %HH Khách tự đến: 5% - % HH do sale tự kiếm: 10% - % đạt KPI: 10% 3. Phụ cấp - Xăng xe: 0,2 - Ăn trưa: 0,75

Từ chính sách, tôi tính thử chính sách xem anh em sẽ được như thế nào? Và công ty lời lãi ra sao? Tôi tiếp tục giả định: 1. Chính sách này chưa xét đến những chi phí khác như: - Chi phí quản lý - Chi phí địa điểm, điện nước của cửa hàng - Chi phí đóng cho nhà nước

Nếu các khoản chi phí khác = 0, tức chi phí cho sale = 15,75 triệu. Tôi tiếp tục giả định, nếu định biên chi phí cho kinh doanh là 20% thì với doanh thu là 70 triệu, chủ cửa hàng sẽ lỗ: 15,75 – 0,2x 70 = 1,75 triệu.

Đấy là giả định, giờ tôi vào câu hỏi của bài: Mức lương này đang khiến các sale nhà e muốn nghỉ việc ạ. E phải điều chỉnh như thế nào ạ?

Trả lời: Để điều chỉnh chính sách thì cần phải cân và tuân theo nhiều điều kiện. Bao gồm:

Đầu tiên, chính sách cần tuân theo luật. Nếu thuê người lao động thì phải tuân theo luật lao động. Nếu thuê dịch vụ thì phải tuân theo luật dân sự. Trope: Modern Girl In Thedas

As stated in a prior rec post, I kind of have a love-hate relationship with Modern Girl in Thedas (MGiT) fics. On some days I want to read something that is pure wish fulfillment and can read fics where it’s obvious they didn’t have a beta but you don’t mind because the author clearly had so much fun writing it. On other days, however, I want to read a fic which really explores the repercussions of an MGiT premise.

This epic 243,211 word amalgation of lore, magic and characters is part one of a series, but stands alone pretty well.

Gorgeous art. I remember it as the fic where the MGiT lost her husband, who knew she had a crush on a video game character. YMMV about whether the characters are OOC but as wish fulfillment, it works darn well.
