update: I made my decision -- a Toshiba Tecra 720CDT from the mid-to-late-90s.

In case you're that curious (I don't blame ya lol), 133 MHz OG Pentium, 16 MB EDO RAM, 4 MB Chips & Technologies CT65550 graphics, Crystal CS4232 sound, 12.1" TFT at up to 1024×768 with 16-bit color depth, and currently using an mSATA SSD put through an IDE adapter. Also, no Ethernet. I have to use a seperate PCMCIA card for that.

And yes, the mouse buttons feel as grody as they look. Seller I got it from actually included a PS/2 ball mouse with it.
