Her and Mac get along great especially when she finds out he’s Hispanic as well (she doesn’t speak English very well so when they first met she was worried she’d be stumbling along with her broken English. The moment Mac and doc spoke her language she was like !!!!!!!)

Don definitely throws ever fit he can because how dare his beautiful gorgeous darling that he plans to propose to soon dare make friends with his mortal enemy… of course he’ll still go along with it because he loves her very much (and she’ll beat him with a shoe otherwise) and slowly but surely him and Mac actually start bonding

Carmen relishes in Don actually getting along with ppl instead of being a little bitch. Don continues to bitch. It’s in his dna atp. I think her treating Mac a bit like her child/younger family member generally would also Segway into a conversation between her and Don about their future and thoughts about children. Don needs some growing up to do me thinks but trust he’d be such a great dad (Mac becomes an honorary uncle and totally doesn’t cry)
