my last job basically offered me my old job back and idk what to doooo
#o#it's a post production studio where i worked as a runner for like 9 months before covid hit#now theyre offering me client services smth#which is basically mainly the desk work portion of the runner gig since theyre not having clients in the building rn#still minimum wage and it'll be 12-7pm weekdays#i liked the runner job bc it was totally flexible hours and you got the opportunity for sit ins with the editors#which theyre not doing rn with ireland's numbers being crazy atm#but they might bring it back at some point#this job is being offered on a six month contract and i can leave at any point if i find other work which is handy#admin work doesnt really interest me at all so ill def still be on the lookout for other shit#idk if more experience at the post production studio will really help since i already have 9mths under my belt#and the client services whatever position will have way less to do with actual editorial experience#BUT it's a fairly big studio in dublin so maybe working there and meeting people and staying on their good side will still be beneficial#12-7pm is like the entire day tho..... i know i wont get up earlier than i have to and i wont get home til like 8pm#so ive little time for myself and my own projects and portfolio shit to keep applying to other places#but im not getting anything done atm just sitting at home im so shit for self motivation#so if im not doing shit either way then it probably makes more sense taking the job#and hopefully having SOME structure in my week will help#ugh i covered a shift for them the weekend before christmas#and i remember being like wow i am super burned out by this place and probably would not accept an offer for this same job again!#but now i have been offered it like three weeks later and i cant fucking remember why i felt burned out#but that was weekend work which is easier to get bored of since youre by yourself the whole day#IDK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAA#im leaning towards accepting it but idk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
