The idea of being married was quite intense for him. While marriage among the gods seemed different than that he’d seen among humans, it still felt like a big commitment. However, Auri decided then that if he were to marry among the gods, his good friend would not be the worst option among them. Even if romantic love wasn’t something that would happen between them, they would still have the love and care of friends with their sexual history as well. He supposed that the fact that the goddesses of marriage were offering to help was an even better sign that something really was good about the idea of this union. Aurelius was a charmer in his own right, though slightly slimy to those with an eye for such things, so that along with Xōchipilli’s more friendly, gentle personable nature could create some sort of peace if these gods were seeing the signs correctly. He couldn’t deny that. There was only one reservation on his mind.
“Before agreeing, there is one thing I must know about this process of marriage among the gods. I know that travel into these divine planes is not easy among the mortal, or even among some demigods or others descended from the gods. I have two young sisters who, of course, are not ascended. If I am to get married, even by some prophecy or maybe especially because of a prophecy, I want Charlie and Fallon to be there. They’re all I have, and I believe they deserve to be here.” While spoken passionately and with love for the two young women who were put into his care as teenagers, he tried to keep himself rather respectful in regarding these chief gods, many of the women queens of their respective pantheons. “I’m not saying I would not agree would they not be included, but I hesitate do have anything so momentous in may life without them.” The former demigod didn’t care as much about the people who may have seen the consummation of a union between him and Pilli. He understood where Pilli could be uncomfortable with some of the women seeing such things, but it was not his biggest concern in the moment.
Mythology - Foretold by the gods (horrorcomeshome) ((my brain says one of the Xochi siblings and Auri?))
Xōchipilli had never considered himself the kind of person who would get married, he was incredibly gay and that was one big mark against him, at least when marrying in his own pantheon. He’d already seen his sister married no less than four times, most of those times just stolen for her beauty and then coerced to marry the man who stole her, who would eventually see the error in his ways and let her go, but he’d never figured he’d be the type of god be stolen to be married so he had made his peace with the fact that as time went on, he would be a confirmed bachelor for the rest of it. All that was until one day, he was called to a high council with some deities of other groups, having arrived there with his sister to see gods from various pantheons awaiting his arrival. In the group of others, he glanced to a much more familiar face of them and waved slightly to his friend, Auri. The twins were soon seated, wine poured out for them as Xōchipilli took a moment to assess the situation and the deities around the large, circular table, all dressed in their traditional, cultural garb. Apollo sat, adorned in gold jewelry beside a god with dark skin, also rocking gold but in the form of matalic body paint in stripes on his body, though he’d never got the chance to formally meet him, Xōchipilli understood this man to be a member of the Yoruba pantheon named Ọrunmila. Beside them, the queen goddes of the Norse Pantheon, Figga with one of her handmaidens, conversing with Hera and Bochica of the Muisca pantheon. He wasn’t entirely sure what this was all about, sharing a look of confusion with his sister before Frigga stood, clearing her throat to get the attention of the group. “My dear children. I’m sure you’re wondering why we’ve brought you here, with an assortment of deities, answers will become clear soon. All of us here are in some regards, divination deities, and we’ve all had very similar visions regarding our recently ascended god of luck, Aurelius, who took place of his mother,” she began, the handmaiden next to her fairly saying “may her memory be a blessing” as a sort of superstitious notion before Frigga continued, “And the Prince of flowers himself, Xōchipilli. We’ve all seen visions of your union.”
“Oh damn, did you like what you saw at least,” Xōchipilli asked, blushing lightly, thinking they meant not a marriage but likely some very rough sex the two of them would likely have in the future. Apollo chortled, covering his mouth as some wine spurted from it, amused by this conclusion his friend had drawn.
