if you own a problematic artist's cd listen to it as much as you want. but if you go and listen to them on a streaming platform your listening is actively funding their behaviour so it's not genuinely separating them

I think if I got any weirder I would fall asleep without meaning to and wake up somewhere I'd never been. I'd look out over the strange desert landscape, sands howling across the empty wastes. I'd see the distant mountains with their impossible geometry and the vastness of space above them, shockingly close for something so endless and unfathomable. A radio would crackle in and out with static in the corner of the rustic, doorless cabin I found myself in. It's screeching would be my only accompaniment as I searched the ice box which would contain nothing but stalks of wheat, as yet unpicked from the earth in which it was planted. I would see all these sights and slowly forget that these things were ever strange, ever unknowable, ever terrifying. I would close my ice box and stare out at the wilderness beyond, a sigh of whimst on my lips as I wonder at the fierce and natural beauty of roaming packs of unbound demons. The radio would cease to crackle and instead a smooth, sonorous voice would cut through the silence of the cabin. "And now, the weather."
