Honestly, I'd LOVE to have a side quest set fully in Gath. I'm expecting that we're not gonna get back from Zood until CloHo ends, but there's so much worldbuilding made for Gath that I want to see so badly. There's so many cities mentioned that we're quite possibly never gonna see again and there's so much potential there that I really hope they bite into in the future

Olethra knew very little about shame. She never felt it because of the way she was brought up.

She knew about embarrassment, of course. Felt it on more than one occasion when her father shot at the mailman. She knew about awkwardness and cringe - two emotions very common in every teenager.

But those aren't the same as shame. They never bring you down the same way shame does.

Even if she knew so little, she could practically smell shame dripping from Maxwell like sweat on a desert.

"Why do you hide?" she had asked him.

"You are hiding too," he pointed out.

"No. Not like this. I'm hiding because I don't want to die in a crossfire. You... It's like you hide because you don't want to really live."

The thing I’m starting to think is that Olethra has this image in her head of her grandmother as this noble adventurer, and maybe at one point in time she was, but the rest of the crew have already done so much more to foster that sense of adventure in her than Comfrey did. Comfrey disappeared from Olethra’s life, which she claimed was so “dull” by her standards, but didn’t take her with her. She had Pappy watch over her, meaning he put in more effort than Comfrey to make sure she was safe (also he didn’t have to do that but he did). Olethra became one of Monty’s scouts and read HIS accounts of the adventures. Mary’s clearly cares about this sky eyed kid and the two bonded very quick. We haven’t seen much from Van in this regard but again, Van is there where Comfrey is not. The whole crew gets the see Olethra’s first adventure, and Comfrey doesn’t because she’s so hung up on some cause.

I also don’t think that Comfrey gave Olethra the Mechleod out of the goodness of her heart, she wants to keep that away from some thing or some one
