“I’m not you Johnny.” She spoke, voice coated the strange electric hum that came with being an engram on a decaying chip, “I’m not—I wasn’t—a legend, had no importance to them. They made me an engram to show the world what they do to people that oppose em.”

“Had to fuck them over pretty good for them to preserve you like this.” Johnny hummed and glanced over at her glitching form.

V’s physical appearance was buggy—courtesy of the shattered chip currently residing in his neck. Thin blue shards of glitching energy prickled off her skin, distorting her ever so slightly. If she stood near a light source—neon or natural—it would filter through her. The streams of light passing through her ghost-like form as if she wasn’t there—which technically she wasn’t.

He had a sinking suspicion that Arasaka had somehow altered her appearance before jamming her on the relic. The V before him didn’t look like someone who had just gone up against a mega corp with guns blazing.

From the way Rogue had described it, V hadn’t gone down without a fight. And yet the version before him was scrubbed clean of any blood or grime. Perfectly presentable to the masses as a shining example of what a corporate terrorist looked like.

She wore sturdy boots and strong weave pants with a cyberdeck clipped to the chunky belt around her waist. Her shirt was deep charcoal with a faded decal splashed across the front.

Perhaps most egregious of all was her jacket. Worn brown leather with patches adorning the sleeve and a hand painted Samurai crest emblazoned on the back of it.

He had said some choice words about the jacket and how it was just his luck that he got stuck with a groupie in his head.

(She had also said some choice words back at him.)

“It’s not preservation, it’s penance.” V muttered, gaze falling on him.

⚔️Shared destinies and Shared drinks | My Assassin's Creed longfic featuring Desmond and Kassandra being besties. Is a multi genre fic bc I'm indecisive. Chapter 15 is in the planning stages hehehehe but it involves Kass being a miserable sad immortal

♟️half-open file | FC5/6 Rook centric fic taking place in an AU where the nukes don't drop and Rook takes a CIA deal to stay out of prison. Mostly set in Yara where she meets Dani and they bond over being reluctant fighters burdened by guilt.

have plenty more wips but many are either in the planning stages or nsfw oop.
