Hey guys! Not sure if anyone’s been talking about this yet, but it’s kinda big news! 👀 So, two Polish YouTubers, ROCK and BORYS, just mentioned in their latest podcast (link --> https://youtu.be/j5G22X8V9IA?feature=shared ) that a brand new story DLC for The Witcher 3 might be dropping as early as next year! 👀👀

For context — Rock and Borys are old-school Polish YouTube veterans, super involved in the gaming scene. They’ve been around forever, are known for being reliable, drama-free, and always fact-checking their sources. They’re not the type to just throw around rumors for clicks. And here’s the thing — they’ve actually shared early scoops about CD Projekt RED before, and those turned out to be true. So there’s a really, really solid chance this isn’t just wishful thinking — it could actually be happening!!!

They said in their podcast that CDPR is planning a story-driven DLC for TW3, and while they didn’t show any hard proof, they both emphasized that they wouldn’t have brought it up unless they were absolutely sure. One of them even said he confirmed the info with multiple sources and really did the digging before mentioning it publicly.

Here’s what we do know (based on what they said):It’s gonna be a narrative DLC for The Witcher 3 Earliest release is sometime next year

Supposed roadmap from CDPR: ➡️ next-gen updates and suppor for consoles ➡️ this DLC ➡️ Witcher 4 ➡️ Witcher 1 Remake

No word yet on the plot, size, price, or exact release date. But considering TW3 is still getting updates, especially for next-gen consoles, there’s a very real chance this DLC could be something big, complex, and genuinely playable, not just a quick cash-in. :exploding_head:

Also, Rock and Borys speculated (and yeah, this part is just their theory) that it might serve as a kind of narrative bridge between TW3 and TW4 — maybe explaining how Ciri becomes a full-on witcher, or tying together the multiple endings from TW3. Like… maybe even fixing how Ciri “dies” in one ending and then mysteriously reappears in the next game. Wild stuff.

Anyway, I’m SO hyped about this!!! The Witcher 3 is my ultimate comfort game — I’ve played it to death and would absolutely love to have a reason to dive back in. If this turns out to be true (and honestly, it’s looking very promising), then holy crap! we might actually be getting new Witcher 3 content in 2026! That’s just mind-blowing, considering the game’s turning TEN YEARS OLD. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Witcher 1, despite its problems due to outdated aesthetics/gameplay/industrial standards/social awareness at the time, did one thing right which other games have yet to catch up with – to present the entire picture of racism's harmfulness and have it's villain be held accountable. It's been the only game so far, in which a fascist is not only a monster in a metaphorical sense, but also a literal monster who can only be defeated with a silver sword.

Apparently, if you’ve played every DA game except Origins, you’re not a “real” fan and you “don’t know what you’re talking about”.

Never mind if you’ve read all the books, own all the World of Thedas books, study the lore daily, just for fun. Keep multiple tabs of DA fics - written by other fans - open on your computer.

I haven’t played Origins for the same damn reason that I haven’t played Witcher 1.

It’s old as fuck and apparently it runs terribly.

I will play Witcher 1 when the remake comes out, and if they ever make an Origins remake, remaster, I’ll play it too.

I deleted Dragon Age 2 for the same reason.

And I love 2, it and Inquisition are my babies.

Oh, but I’ve never played Origins.

So I guess I’m a fraud.

I’ve also been told by a select few that I’m not a “real Witcher fan”. Even though I’ve read all the fucking books multiple times, to the point where I can quote them word for word.

I actually had someone say to me yesterday that watching House of the Dragon as a book reader is a bias and the fact that it’s an adaptation means it can go “any direction” from the source material and if this is a sentiment shared by others Jesus Christ are we in trouble

I understand an adaptation is never going to be 1:1 but can we collectively as a society agree on what the fuck an adaptation is? Through different mediums things are going to have to be reworked. To discount the majority or the original intended fan base however, is insane. This was my same issue with ATLA adaptations - you can’t tell me to abandon what I know and love about that story/characters and see it warped in an unrecognizable way and still applaud. The reason these adaptations even get made and get funding is because there is a TARGET audience and your fundamental basis for this are those who were invested in the source material. This happened with Witcher, ATLA, every Disney live-action remake, etc.

We can either commit to adaptations that are faithful to the source material, ergo faithful to the fans or we can just fuckin quit adaptations all together. It’s wild to purport that an invested audience member is inherently bias and should have their opinion discounted simply because they had knowledge and investment in characters from the source material which was abandoned or altered by a sub-par writer trying to “shock” audiences or reinvent the wheel.

ARTBOOK SCANS DUMP

Apparently this person not only uploaded scans of the arknights vol. 2 artbook, but they also have scans of the vol.1 artbook and interview with various ak illustrator (in CN obviously). Moreover, looks like they collect scans of artbooks from various media

redownloading witcher 1 for my bi yearly attempt to finish playing it. reading the updates on the remake (which if i fail this attempt ill just wait for that to replay, but i wanna replay 2 and 3 before 4 comes out and so im trying to see if i can bang em all out) while it downloads and man. witchers not a perfect game i know that and the game on release will probably have bugs. whatever. but its crazy going from "we will NOT remake our 2008 first game in the series because everyone that knew how to use the systems left in such a way that we CANNOT rehire them, we will also not fix the version of the game that we are selling on storefronts so its up to the storefronts or the customers to remove the known issue that causes crashes every like 10 minutes" to "yeah we know our first game from 2007 didnt age super well, and we want to make sure the whole trilogy is playable and all up to par with each other sooooo we're remaking the first game from the ground up by contracting another studio that has several of our former staff (who we're still on good terms with) working there and having them build the game in ue5 :)". i love you dragon age youll always be one of my first loves but witchers flirting with me so hard. they said you hate two things about this series (the at times lack of prevalence of women and the jank ass first installment) here have a female led trilogy and were making the first game good.
