We are all a group of simple people, which may be the ultimate reason why fate can continue. If there is a chance, I will sing "Confessions of a Night Person" for everyone. This is my favorite.

Some friends told me in private that the 2024 Xiao Zao is a bit dull. In fact, I want to say that compared with the short-term and vigorous forgetfulness, I prefer the long-term mutual support. So I've finally gotten around to start watching things consistently again (if y'all havn't seen the bump in new stuff I've been reblogging recently that isn't just UT/DR, KH, & ISaT. There is soo much more coming threw the que over the next week for y'all to see the extent of the brainworms)

Yesterday I picked up Mayokana Punch expecting Unhinged Vampire Canceled YouTube Yuri and the new episode today sure was something I'm having to sit and think about.

I JUST finished Frieren Season 1 a little over a week ago, I wasn't expecting to run into another unaging being having to grapple with the concept of Human Mortality so soon

I needed to try and gauge the timeframe of the flashbacks by seeing what cassette player she's holding only to realize we get a fully fucking legible song list written on the cover of a mixtap with analogs to bands like Eagles and Queen. Someone on reddit already managed to track (almost)all the songs down and every single one is from '76 and '77

The mixtape is described as "Yesterday's Best Western Hits" so I still had to go back and double check the style of the Walkman and it seems to match closest with the WM-22 from 1984

The style of the CRT TV with wood paneling seems to match the era too (no I am not tracking down a tv model, that's too much work)

A mother plotted to take her children on a one-way flight to join terrorists in Afghanistan, a court has heard. Farishta Jami, 36, was found guilty at Leicester Crown Court today (Thursday, February 13) of preparing acts of terrorism after saving £1,200 for flights and sharing extremist material online.

The court heard how Jami shared graphic extremist material on social media between September 2022 and January 2024, including videos, documents and images. She acted as an administrator for several pro-Daesh groups with over 700 members, where she shared instructional videos to prove her loyalty to ISKP.

Jami was convicted of two counts of engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. The jury heard how she was planning to travel to Afghanistan to martyr herself and the second charge related to her taking the children.

Investigations revealed Jami, of Stratford, had conducted 22 separate flight searches to Afghanistan in a two-week period, specifically looking for one-way tickets for herself and her children. Officers who searched her property discovered hidden SIM cards, cash, several devices and evidence that she had attempted to conceal passports while researching flights to join Islamic State Khurasan Province (ISKP).

Further evidence showed Jami had researched weaponry, including gathering information about the assembly and disassembly of AK47 rifles. Police said she began expressing her desire to travel as early as July 2023.

Superintendent Darren Webster, head of specialist operations for Warwickshire Police, said: "This was a complex case interlinking terrorism and serious criminal offences, and we welcome the outcome today. Jami's actions had the potential for real world implications and the harm they could have caused cannot be underestimated."

Detective Chief Superintendent Alison Hurst, head of CTP WM, added: "Jami expressed a desire to travel as early as July 2023 and by November she had accumulated a significant amount of cash which crystallised her intention to travel." She is due to be sentenced tomorrow (Friday, February 14).
