On the note of like... Marvel/DC crossover talk, what's your general opinion on the Captain America/Wonder Woman pairing being a thing, regardless of whether or not Steve Rogers replaces Steve Trevor?

Cuz tbh I do kinda see the vision, but I gotta know your take, too.

I'd say there are a number of factors there that make WonderCap work better than a lot of pure DC Diana ships. For one, they're both people "out of time" and there's a very weighty symbolism to both of their hero identities. They're both people that, at their best, you would follow into battle in a heartbeat, and they're both idealists with regards to basic human nature. You also get the sense that neither would outshine or just become an accessory to the other like you get with Diana trinity ships. But there is also a necessary friction to their dynamic in that Cap is scrappier than Diana. He is more intimately familiar with powerlessness, and meanwhile Diana is essentially AN ANCIENT DEMIGOD. Diana is not human which in my opinion is very necessary to her best characterizations. You also kind of have the shared loneliness of being perceived as unattainable and perfect, which, when done right can bring out this really cool, nuanced, vulnerable side of Diana. I also like the dynamic of Steve definitely being the scrappier bloodier guy between them, but also having to be the guy pumping the breaks when Diana flies into a full Amazon Achilles-esque battle rage. They can be a power couple, but I like the idea of Steve being that tether of humanity for Diana.

Anya gets into superhero comics because Damian is a fan of their universe’s Marvel and DC Comics. One day she sees a Wonder Woman comic that he was trying to hide. Anya not thinking anything about him liking it reads it and is loving it.

She tells her parents she likes WW because of how she’s a princess, she kicks butt, and is also very kind and nice! She also says Diana reminds her of Yor which makes her feel so happy that her daughter sees her that way.

Loid being the awesome dad he is makes her a tiara and set of bracers so she can play Wonder Woman too. The two really blow her mind when he makes Yor a WW costume so she can play with her during a stella celebration or a birthday.

While looking in the notes of a WonderCap post, I saw someone say that they’d gotten married in the comics at some point. I immediately set to Googling and though I didn’t find anything confirming that, I did find the above post. It’s from the blog Super-Team Family: The Lost Issues, which has an ongoing Steve/Diana subplot. It’s super cool and I just had to share.
