Synopsis:

Yang Jung Kook (Choi Si Won) is a veteran conman, but he has never been arrested. He meets Kim Mi-Young (Lee Yoo Young) and tells her that he runs a business while Kim Mi-Young is actually a Detective, but tells him that she works for a small company because her past relationships have failed because of her job. They develop a relationship romantically, and on their wedding day, Kim Mi-Young reveals to Yang Jung-Kook that she is actually a detective.

Meanwhile, Park Hoo Ja (Kim Min-Jung) runs a private loan business that she inherited from her father. Her father was swindled by Yang Jung-Kook, so now Park Hoo Ja blackmails him into running for a national assembly seat to ensure that legislation that benefits her is passed.

5/5. This was just an all around GOOD drama. The pacing of the episodes were all great with good energy and interest; there were no slow points or drawing things out unnecessarily for dramatic purposes. The story was incredibly well thought out and planned and the editing and delivery kept you entertained, interested, and invested emotionally. They knew they had a good script and an excellent cast and let it all speak for itself.

Everyone on the cast delivered - there were no misses on this one in any way for me. Park Kyung Hye as Yang Jung-Kook (Choi Si-Won)'s sister very nearly stole every scene she was in, and would have gotten away with it if it weren't for everyone else being so damn good. Even Tae In Ho had me rolling with his unexpected comedic timing, but equally drew me in with his sincere and emotional deliveries.

Watching the relationship between Yang Jung-Kook (Choi Si Won) and Kim Mi-Young (Lee Yoo Young) evolve so organically was really interesting to see. Some people probably would have preferred that the romantic overtures were more emphasized, but I like the way they handled their relationship. It felt more sincere and mature and did justice to each of the characters.

This was just really fun to watch. It left you feeling like there were still good people in the world, and that redemption is possible. There it one line that Tae In Ho's character gives: "Since the day someone is born, that person cannot always live making only the right choices for their entire life." I really like how the emphasis is that we all have and will screw up and make the wrong choice, but that doesn't mean we can't start to make the right ones.

Dizi 10’ar dakikalık kısa bölümlerden oluşuyor. 3 farklı hikaye olarak seri yapılmış. Yine bir okul ödevi tadında kısacık eğlencelik minnak diziler. Her birinde tanıdığımız, sevdiğimiz oyuncuları görmemiz mümkün.

The Universe's Star;

Woo-Joo yetenekli bir şarkıcı-söz yazarıdır ve Byul-Yi ise bir ölüm meleğidir. Hayranı olduğu çocuğun hayatını alması için gönderilince aralarındaki romantizm dizinin konusu olur. Benim yorumum üçlemenin en pasif ve silik hikayesi buydu. Hikaye anlatmak istediği duyguları anlatabilecek kadar uzun olmadığı için izleyiciye pek bir şey geçmedi. Ama çok da ciddi bakmamak lazım tabi.

Romance Full of Life;

Çok uzun süredir polis memur sınavlarına hazırlanan So In-Sung  8 kez başarısız olmuştur. Buna rağmen hiç neşesini kaybetmemeye çalışır. Kız arkadaşı Wang So-Ra  ise artık onunda ayaklarının yere bastığını görmek ister. Aynı zamanda o da kendi içinde zor zamanlar geçirirken anlık bir kararla ilişkilerini bitirir. Dünyası yıkılan In-Sung  tesadüfen gördüğü  "Hayat Dolu Deney" isimli bir ilaç deneyine katılarak para kazanacağını düşünür.  

Bu hikayenin konusu ilginçti. Tamamen mükemmel insana dönüştüren bu hap ile yapay bir popülerlik kazanan karakterimizin aslında ne istediğini keşfetmesini anlatıyordu.

Queen of Ring;

Benim seriye başlama nedenim ve en eğlendiğim hikaye ise buydu. Aileden gelen genetik bir çirkinliğe sahip kısa boylu bir kız olan Mo Nan-Hee bir gün annesinin sırrını keşfeder. Ailesinde nesillerdir ailenin kadınlarına miras kalan bir yüzük vardır.  Yüzüğü sevdiğin kişinin sana takmasını sağladığında karşındaki kişi seni görmek istediği ideal güzellikte görmesini sağlıyordur. Babası gündüz işteyken yüzüğü annesinden ödünce alan kızımız okulda sevdiği erkeğe dünyanın en güzel kızı olarak görünür. Ancak yakışıklı çocuğumuz Park Se-Gun yüzüğün büyüsü ile yıllar önce karşılaşıp beğendiği bir kızın yüzünü görmektedir. İşte o kız bizim Nan-Hee’nin arkadaşıdır ve aynı okula kaydını yaptırınca işler karışır.

Hikayeler böyleydi. Üçü de yumuşak, kısa, keyifli zaman geçirten tatlı dizilerdi. Çok uzun konuşmaya gerek olduğunu düşünmüyorum. Sıkıldığınızda açıp 10dk bakıp kapatabileceğiniz, küçük bir kaçamak olarak düşünebilirsiniz.

• it isn't really logical considering his situation but he couldn't help it

• you managed to worm your way into his heart despite all the walls he put up

• at that point, i think he'd trust you enough to let that happen

• you're the only person he genuinely has a soft spot for, aside from his sister

• this also means that he'd be protective

• his sister would be fond of you and that just makes him instantly more inclined to ‘protect’ you

• he just wants to make sure that you'd be safe even if that means keeping you as a secret from his dad (and Minhwan but 🤷‍♀️)

• not really the affectionate type

• and because of his situation, he can be kind of closed of at times

• like don't expect him to be that open about his feelings

• he's just not used to it :( (this doesn't mean he loves you any less though)

• you'd be the one initiating physical contact most of the time but he does have his moments

• he likes laying his head on your lap while you run your fingers through his hair

• it helps him calm down and helps him go to sleep whenever he's having trouble

• now that pisses him off.

• would not hesitate to throw hands if someone made you uncomfortable in anyway

• he's the jealous type but not overbearingly so (kind of)

Bae Seok Ryu and Song Hyeon Jun

Truthfully, the circumstances just weren’t in their favor, regardless of how much they loved each other and dreamed of a future together. They were faced with a huge obstacle in the form of stomach cancer, for which Hyeon Jun fully committed to being Seok ryu's caretaker, taking a sick leave from work and even putting his whole life on hold for Seok Ryu, because he loved her and wanted to be there by her side. However, Seok ryu's decision to not tell her family and close friends meant leaving Hyeon Jun- who respected her decision and even after they broke up, kept her illness hidden from her family- as her sole caretaker and support system, which was bound to take a toll on him as well sooner or later.

After her treatment ended, they were yet faced with another huge blow in the form of depression -none of which are Seok ryu's fault by the way. But once again Hyeon Jun was left as her sole source of support. Now, I'm not saying that one's partner isn't supposed to be there (I mean, "in sickness and in health", right?), but it's clear that it was too much for him at this point. This reminded me of a cancer research conference I attended years ago, where one of the discussed topics was caretaker burnout and the importance of respite for them, both the sick person and those around them are greatly affected both physically and mentally, and that's what we saw in the episode; Two exhausted people who, despite loving each other, just couldn't bear with how exhausted they were and Hyeon Jun ended up snapping. Does this mean he's a shitty person? No, we saw him be by Seok ryu's side through thick and thin, but at last he was tired and snapped in a moment of desperation. This sadly just means they just weren't what the other needed at the moment anymore, and this is a very realistic portrayal of relationships where there isn't respite nor a proper support system.

I do think he loves her and feels guilty for being so burnt out, but sadly she's ready to move on and that's all that's left for him to do now. Move on.

This sets up a huge challenge for Seung hyo tho, how do you get through her walls when she’s seen first hand what can happen to a relationship when faced with adversities? She said it herself, she’ll be constantly on the lookout for her cancer possibly coming back or even spreading. How can he convince her that he won’t burn out? How can you convince someone who knows firsthand that sometimes love is not enough? Good luck Charlie!

Guys there's a new kdrama in town to obsess about and you know I'm going to do it. The kdrama is *drum roll* LOVE SCOUT.

I'm so hooked by this Kdrama. A female CEO with a male secretary? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP. I absolutely love the dynamics between and how their tension and trust gradually builds over time. I love how Eunho doesn't magically win her approval on the first day. I love how Eunho just does his work without expecting anything. I love how Jiyun is so smart. The way she cares about people is so subtle. She's not the kind to give you kind words but she'll make you get your shit together. And I absolutely love how Eunho takes care of her without asking her to change any aspect of who she is. He meets her where she works and because of the kind of person she is, she meets him where he is.

Because guys, Jiyun is the kind of person who has built a career in investing in people. She's a headhunter. If you show her what you are capable of, no one is more loyal to you than her. That's why I think it's such a good part on the writers' choice to show Eunho making those decisions and meeting her where she is which creates the space for her to trust him, for her to believe that he's worth her time and energy. That's why I love kdramas so much. Their characters so fully fleshed out and you see THEM in their subtleties.

Also Eunho is such a good dad I will cry. Eunho is literally for Eldest independent daughters with daddy issues who want to be cared for but won't ask for love and affection and care and I'm in love.
