A time with the #lawlessness of #nations and of men and women peaking. We find the words of the prophet in chapter fifteen of Isaiah saying "For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire." Further the prophet says that the "LORD will plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many." These verses found in the Sixty-six chapter of Isaiah, found within the context of verses fifteen to twenty-four. The entire book of Isaiah has purposed to establish the #sovereign #Word of the #LORD and His Righteousness and Judgment. Here is both houses of #Israel and later we find the #Gentiles are also called out. Within are promises both of #redemption and of #Judgment. There is no fear of the Lord, nor of His words, His prophets, or the #DayoftheLORD. 20 years old and student

How do you feel about your finances?

I am alright, I am workingright now, casual job, more part timebecause I am working part time hours. It is not bad, because am getting income from that job.

Are you saving on a regular basis? Do you think save money wisely is difficult? And why?

Weekly basis, every week when I get my paid cheque, I tried to save as much as I can.

Yes, because I always want to buy a new thing, it’s very tempting, I get lots of emails that save lots of discounts so every time I can an email I wanted and it’s hard to control myself because I like to control myself.

Do you have an income and spending plan? How do you manage your finances? Tell me a little bit about your lifestyle of how you spend your money

Yes, so when I get my paid cheque every week, I tried to put at least 50% more than 50% sometime 70%so the remain me less to spend like on food, clothes. I tried to save lots when I have a goalbecause I really want to travel. Before when I didn’t want to travel, when I was younger, I was spending all of my money on like clothes. Now I know it’s good to save so I like saving because it makes me feel good about myself because I am not, and like my heart is earning money and that eye is saving money for something big and it will be like a really rewarding feeling to save up enough for that big things 

What tools do you use to help you budget your money? Since childhood till now

ASB application, someone send me the money and I just transfer the money to my saving account and then there recently has this new thing with the app, so they change the interface, so they made it user-friendly. You can change the icons. E.g. my saving account, so I can click edit it and choose a different of a kind of images such as goals, business, traveling, everyday things. This is motivating me more now because I can see what I am saving for now.

Do you know how much you save or spend each year?

No, each year. Only each week. I don’t keep track on the yearly. I would be curious how much I am spending each year, but I also might not want too because then I might feel guilty like wow how much I spend each year but then also it also could motivate me for next year like I should try again

At the moment YES, because I am living with my parents, so I don’t need to pay for rent yet and I don’t need to pay daily living cost like transport and stuffs. Because they cover it for me but in the future, I will be struggled because once I start living by myself and then like an adult and have responsibility, I will probably be struggle and it will be hard to manage money.

Who is the first person you are going to talk with when you have trouble with money?

The bank or my parents

Have you heard about financial care services?

No, I haven’t used any. I don’t have much experience with this, I haven’t researched into it or try any apps.

What can I realistically do to improve my income level?

Just control my spending and set a goal that is the main key things for students right now, go out less, spend less on food and stop drinking.

When/where/who were given your pervious financial education? Such as high school lecture, parenting or internet

I know it from my parents

Maybe 4, because I think 21 is when they should know. So, 4.5/5

From your personal experience, have you ever tried or used any financial education tools to help you learn, manage or understand better about financial management? (such as mobile application, website, or other online learning tool)?

No, I think only ASB because that is the only bank that I sigh up with. I haven’t tried to look at any other apps or even the website. It is only the ASB website, if there’s something wrong with my banking, I would just go on their website.

If yes, what do you like or dislike about the pervious tool you are using?

I don’t like the website how it is too much information; it is hard to search for an exact answer. Most of the time I just ended up go to the bank and ask them in person because there’s no answer for it online or even if I google it. Mobile version now it is so much better, the new UI version is good. I like the mobile version because it is clear and easy to understand, simpleand straight forward.

No, I am not. Save money is quite difficult, especially for university students, we need to buy lots of stuffs and we realized it a lots of money.

In Indonesia, they teach us some, but not in New Zealand. They teach us to give half of all the money we have and put it the piggy bank. Piggy bank is useful, and you cannot take the money, so it keeps you from not using it. It’s complete different than put money in saving account because some time you cannot control yourself and you keep spend them all

My mother teaches me every day, because I don’t save up very well, I don’t really earn anything by myself

5 out of 5 becauseIf you don’t save up your money you will be poor for the rest of your life like saving is very important. You need to teach them since they were young. Do something to get the reward. Like get a good grade then I will give you $50 to buy anything you like. Or if they want something, they need to save up and get it their own and they will be proud of what they have

Zion's Travail brings us face to face with the LORD rendering recompence to His enemies. Yet we look at the context of this portion and find before she travailed, she brought forth a man child. Yet, even as this sounds unbelievable, the question is asked "who has heard such a thing or seen such things”? A #nationborn at once, for Zion travailed and behold she brought forth her children. Nothing was to stop this bringing forth a nation, yet as we see Zion, #Jerusalem was #desolate. #Zion will bring forth a nation one that is brought forth from a #manchild. Here we find that even through the #desolation and #judgment of #Judah and seventy years in captivity, #Godforgave and #restored her. This nation of Judah already was an established nation formed in #judgment and #God #redeemed her. The man child herein is seen, for example Albert Barnes refers to the birth of the #MessiahYeshua and the increase thereof, birthed #spiritually as a #nation out of the Messiah. The blessed Zion, the restored Judah, and the #Messiah #prophesied to come are born. Out of him will come a multitude all of which are born from the #seedofZion. Lifestyle Choices brings us to the last chapter and the final words of the #ProphetIsaiah. Here we find the Lord addressing the humble that trembles at the #WordoftheLord. These met with condemnation, being also cast out of the #Temple. Herein, the Lord tells them that the "Lord will appear to your joy" and those who condemned you will "be ashamed." These words also reflect this last chapter of Isaiah, here being Sixty-six and the verses one through twenty-four. The beginning to the end of this chapter is summed up. As above we see the #Humblecomforted, the #ungodlycondemned, at the #Lordsappearance. All while #Jerusalem is made a #joyonearth. From the beginning of #Isaiah there was a difference between those who followed and #obeyed and those who did not. As Isaiah chapter three reminds us, this is the beginning of the book as you know. God of Truth comes into focus clearly as we reach closer to the end of Isaiah chapter sixty-five. God will have #Truth, #Justice, and He will #judge all people. The truth here is not that there is a reward for both the wicked and righteous. The Truth is, #God is a #redeemingGod who sent His only Son #Jesus, #Yeshua to die for the #sinsofmankind. One day the sin, rebellion, hate, murder, and all the deeds of darkness will be eradicated from all existence. The #formertroubles will be forgotten because they are no more. A #newheavens, #newearth and the former shall not be remembered nor come to mind. Yet of all that God does and will do he says in Isaiah sixty-four and verse eighteen "behold, I create #Jerusalemarejoicing, and her people a joy." This is the aspect and truth that the nations today are at war over. That is the #Jewishpeople have #Jerusalem. Yet the #fullness and completion of #redemption and of all things therein are not net fulfilled. Mine Elect meets the past sins and idolatry of Judah even as the seventy years of captivity are finally over, the justice of God never wains in its purpose. Isaiah writes in chapter sixty-five and verse six "I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom." The #sins of #idolatry and forsaking the God of their Fathers fills their past, and the future is assured by the Lord God, even as he says "I will bring forth a #seedoutofJacob, and out of #Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it -Isaiah Sixty-five, verse nine." Forgiveness and Restoration can be found throughout Isaiah's writings. For the rise of the #Messiah, #Yeshua is coming and in him shall be the #redemption for all people. Rebellious People brings us to the end of chapter 64 and onto the first portion of #Isaiah sixty-five. This week we close out the former chapter, although it is relevant to this week's study. Isaiah writes "I am sought of them that asked not for me and I am found of them that sought me not- Isaiah Sixty-five and verse one. The Jews did not seek God, instead they turned to #idols and #doctrinesofdevils. Meanwhile, the Gentiles who had worshipped idols and never sought for the #true and #livingGod, had found him. Yet during this struggle, #God would bring out a remnant so that the #Jews would not be left desolate. Paul in Romans writes in chapter nine, verses thirty to thirty-three that "Israel which followed after the #lawofrighteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness." Thus, here Isaiah looks at this struggle of Israel and the future that has God bringing a #remnant of #Israel to himself. Our Father brings us to the #realization, that in the #endofallthings; our #God is indeed our #Father. This Father is the one whom #ChristJesus, #Yeshua revealed when he came to provide the #atonement for all who would #believe on Him. He spoke again and again of "His Father". As we find in this segment in our study, #Isaiah brings us to the #conclusion as we near our final chapter and #word on this #studyinIsaiah. We also find an #uncleanpeople who faced tremendous #judgment, terms like "our righteousness's" are like "filthy rags" and "our iniquities" have taken the people away. For without faith, we cannot please #God. Even #Israel not only had to follow the law, but they also had to have #faith. A commodity that many had trouble with.  We also find other New Testament ideals that we use to today, which #Isaiah writes about. These include the fact that "we have sinned", "we are as an unclean thing", "because of our iniquities", "all our righteousness as filthy rags", "we do fade as a leaf", "thou art our Father", "we are the clay", "thou art the Potter", "we are the work of thy hand", and "we shall be saved." These common phrases we find in Isaiah also have a place in the gospel and the New Testament. The #Apostles taught these principles and more, many more which are found in the #OldTestament [Tanakh] and confirmed again in the #NewTestament.
