Happy Workshop Wednesday.
This week was about making lattices for my indoor Bougainvillea, AKA Paper flower plant.
We have a neighbor trying to clear some invasive bamboo growing in the ground, and they've been kind enough to let me snag a few stalks.
I'm just happy I got these before the snow fell.
I'm also testing out growing English ivy indoors because no one can have too many plants. Just be careful with both these vines as they are known to be toxic to animals when ingested.

still kinda not over ichiro taking a bite out of his hamburger in the leaders bonus hypster track and going 'it's so good!! it tastes really meaty!!' lmao
#vee queued to fill the void#ichiro's been shown to be somewhat neglectful towards himself when it comes to food lol#he knows what tastes good to have made the world class yamada curry tho despite not having the vocabulary for it lol#and that's the most important part tbh lol tho i kinda wonder if he workshopped it with anybody 🤔#like in that dod chapter where samatoki gives ichiro his new home and business lol before daddy samatoki showed up#the bros were all eating convenience store bento boxes which means none of them were cooking for each other yet#and that might be consequence of their living space at the time lol but what if after the upgrade#ichiro felt more obligated to cook for his bros so they could grow well with good food and needed advice on cooking lol#i think it'd be cute if nmcd all got together to help ichiro learn to cook is what i'm saying lol#equally as cute is if the bros got together and taught themselves (tho that may have been a trainwreck lol)#but jiro and saburo both describe the yamada curry as ichiro's so that tells me it's usually an ichiro recipe#but anyway samatoki learned to bake for his sister ichiro would definitely be the same mindset#but let's give ichiro more happy moments associated with food like kuukou's lowkey already been trying to do lol#and have all his friends workshop the recipe with him 🥺🥺🥺#vee is arting#save for that kuukou comic this is the last of my art backlog lol#which means no more art for another three months or sumn lmao 😭😭😭😭😭😭#(i need to promise to myself to not go that long without drawing again lol 😭😭😭😭😭)

Just in time to have blown a hundred bucks on out-of-scale 3d printed power axes, it's the long prophesied melee weapons upgrade set!

Lot of value in the box, though. Big fan of the extra heads and hands.

it's always 'did you buy that jacket because it reminds you of The Character?' and never 'I like your jacket that reminds you of The Character, your jacket that reminds you of The Character is fun'

I love messing up the timeline for my fanbot universe
Cause how do I explain the single 13 year window where the band was Rabbit, The Spine, Hatchworth, and Zer0?
And I'm telling me that Zer0 never met The Jon? This is wild, me

i feel like you can learn something about a person by giving them a contraption of some sort that doesn't work quite right
like if some shits broken its just 'oh its broken' to most people and they drop it and move on
but if it almost works then that's where the frustration begins

Is Your Garage Future-Ready? Upgrade with Compact Scissor Car Lift Platforms
As the automotive industry evolves, so should your workspace. Traditional lifting systems can be bulky, inefficient, and limit your garage's true potential. That’s where Compact Scissor Car Lift Platforms come into play.
Tumblr media
Why Go Compact?
Compact scissor car lift platforms are designed to deliver maximum performance in minimal space. They are ideal for garages, workshops, and service centers where floor area is at a premium. With a low-profile design and strong lifting capacity, these platforms allow technicians to work with comfort and safety—without compromising on efficiency.
Space-Saving Meets High Performance
The biggest advantage of compact scissor car lift platforms is their space-saving footprint. Whether you're running a small auto repair shop or a large-scale service facility, these lifts provide seamless access for underbody work, tire services, and inspections.
Their hydraulic system ensures smooth vertical movement, while built-in safety locks protect both the operator and the vehicle. The compact structure also makes installation and relocation easy, helping your business stay flexible as it grows.

Happy Workshop Wednesday.
Check out my sticks. :)
I've been saving these for years now, waiting on the right project, and finally found the one.
After a quick paint job. I wrapped these guys together to make one large piece.
I'll be using these as the base to my hanging fairy garden. Which will eventually reside in the studio.
I'm just working on assembling the mounting before all the dangly pieces get attached. :)
I hope you, too, are able to give new life to a piece in your collection this week.
Have a lovely rest of your evening.

💰 Understanding Severance Pay: What You’re Entitled To & How to Negotiate the Terms
Losing a job—whether expected or not—is tough. But before you walk away from your employer for good, there’s one critical conversation that many professionals skip or feel too afraid to navigate: severance pay. With WarCom down hard, it's a good thing that the big reveals from today's Warhammer Day preview have been cross-posted to other more reliable social media platforms.
Kill Team has been a great vehicle for getting out updates to kits that might not otherwise fit in with the release schedule, or for which the use case is just a little too niche to really drive sales.
Specialist units like tankbustas and ratling snipers aren't so in-demand that they'd really blow the doors off as a standalone release, but they're both in dire need of an update and Kill Team is a great excuse to give them one.
That said, what an update! They both look great, but the ratlings are especially standout for the depth of character. Though they are among the least of the abhumans, their models really pop. Curious to see how they look alongside their Blackstone Fortress counterparts.

Gradually getting back on track
The more I think about it, the more I think that I probably should “borrow” my 8TB external HDD and get everything off Zeus’ SSD and SSHD so I can wipe them and finally fix it; upgrading the CPU and graphics card (with one of the auction cards – 2x RX580s and a cut down version effectively an RX570) would be a good idea too, as it’d mean I can have a working desktop again, & free up desk space!…

"In one of Africa’s last great wildernesses, a remarkable thing has happened—the scimitar-horned oryx, once declared extinct in the wild, is now classified only as endangered.
It’s the first time the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s largest conservation organization, has ever moved a species on its Red List from ‘Extinct in the Wild’ to ‘Endangered.’
The recovery was down to the conservation work of zoos around the world, but also from game breeders in the Texas hill country, who kept the oryx alive while the governments of Abu Dhabi and Chad worked together on a reintroduction program.
Chad... ranks second-lowest on the UN Development Index. Nevertheless, it is within this North African country that can be found the Ouadi Rimé-Ouadi Achim Faunal Reserve, a piece of protected desert and savannah the size of Scotland—around 30,000 square miles, or 10 times the size of Yellowstone.
At a workshop in Chad’s capital of N’Djamena, in 2012, Environment Abu Dhabi, the government of Chad, the Sahara Conservation Fund, and the Zoological Society of London, all secured the support of local landowners and nomadic herders for the reintroduction of the scimitar-horned oryx to the reserve.
Environment Abu Dhabi started the project, assembling captive animals from zoos and private collections the world over to ensure genetic diversity. In March 2016, the first 21 animals from this “world herd” were released over time into a fenced-off part of the reserve where they could acclimatize. Ranging over 30 miles, one female gave birth—the first oryx born into its once-native habitat in over three decades.
In late January 2017, 14 more animals were flown to the reserve in Chad from Abu Dhabi.
In 2022, the rewilded species was officially assessed by the IUCN’s Red List, and determined them to be just ‘Endangered,’ and not ‘Critically Endangered,’ with a population of between 140 and 160 individuals that was increasing, not decreasing.
It’s a tremendous achievement of international scientific and governmental collaboration and a sign that zoological efforts to breed endangered and even extinct animals in captivity can truly work if suitable habitat remains for them to return to."
