#writeintospring Day 3 Writing tool Here are the things I use on a daily basis. ✒There's my laptop. I use Word and Scrivener. It's an Acer. ✒Hanging from it are my headphones. My neighbors are sometimes loud, so those bad boys are clutch. ✒That little black book is the "Things I've Done Today book" where I keep track of stuff I've gotten done. I've found that if I don't do this, at the end of the day I won't remember everything. (It's Game of Thrones themed from @lootcrate.) ✒The #writestuff book is my planner- To Do lists/appts/deadlines. I ordered it from @maydesigns. (That's also the name of my weekly Twitter chat. Every Tuesday @ 9 p.m. EST.) ✒A pad for note taking. ✒My journal for my Morning Pages. @peter_pauper_press It's the Bordeaux journal. 😍 ✒And a pen. Unibal Vision. In blue or black ink. When I write it out it seems excessive, but I don't even think about it anymore. It's just what I do, ya know? #writeintospring Days 17-20 Lucky charms- Fraya doesn't have any lucky charms. Isa has a ring from her mother who passed away when she was young. And I don't have anything that I consider lucky. Weather- It's overcast and lovely. I like a cloudy day. We had lunch on the beach and my Mathmagician didn't even burn. (Remarkable, believe me.) (Pictured a flower and the sky.) Animals in your stories- I like to add pets, sometimes. Fraya doesn't have any pets, butt one of her friends does. Isa gains a pet in book 1. (Pictured: I found a cat who looks life him.) Friendships- Fraya has a group of besties who are writers like she is. Day 27 of the #writeintospring #Marchchallenge is supposed to be my favorite childhood book. Honestly I can't remember one specific book, so I'm going to cheat again. I'm going to share my youngest son's favorite. It's not just 1 book, but a fantastic series. #juniebjones by Barbara Park offered some great times of us sitting and reading together. He liked her so much that we even went to see the stage show. We have books 1-24 and her Junie B's journal and I hope he reads them with my granddaughter. Day 23 & 24 #writeintospring Family: The MCs of my two books Fraya and Isa are cousins. They grew up together. I'm working on a short story to talk about their childhood, which is really fun. Snippet: Fraya dropped to her knees beside her. “Something… Something is…is wrong. I can’t…move.” She stared at Fraya, but didn’t seem to register that anyone was with her. “Can you hear me? What happened? What’s your name?” The girl’s deep brown eyes were unfocused, looking beyond Fraya. Her pupil’s seemed to engulf them. “He doesn’t even know. He doesn’t…know…” She started to convulse. Fraya looked around helplessly for the guy who’d ran away. Why would he leave her like this? Was this girl having a seizure? She yelled for help, but nobody was around. When she looked back down, the girl’s eyes were locked on the sky, a pleading look in their depths. Fraya took her hand.  “You’re going to be Ok.
