Denver, CO. Sunday, August 11, 2019. ON BUILDING CO FASHION WEEK... In early 2009, I set out to create "...an economically sustainable & a well respected Fashion Industry..." for my new home State of Colorado. I'll spend 2009 through 2011 researching & developing my vision. I invested my valuable time organizing town hall meetings designed to bring key industry organizations & players together.  Due to fear and an attitude of #wrongMINDSET, I received a lot of push back from most of the local fashion groups including the then founder(s) of Denver Design Incubator & president of FGI Denver: their collective argument was that they had plans for their own future #FashionWeek in Denver. POOR MINDSET, Weak Mind.... I was so baffled by their ignorance & blatant short-sightedness: I wondered why we could all not come together to build a one unified, & much stronger, event for the Mile High City. To add to my shock, the then executive director of the Denver Design Incubator & her Founder--a privileged fellow from the Boulder area, literally, wrote me a letter pleading their case as to why I musn't move forward. Talk about small-mindedness. ELEVATING COLORADO'S FASHION INDUSTRY PRESENCE... I was, after all, creating CO FASHION WEEK to put the majestic #CentennialState on the global fashion calendar map, & so what on earth was their problem, I wondered. A DELIBERATE SPARK FOR COMPETITION... I'm obsessed with #Entreprenuership because I fervently believe that it is the most effective way to create very meaningful #wealth. Even better, #Entrepreneurship sparks innovation & innovation fuels #competition--which is guaranteed in order for any business economy to thrive. I TURNED MY REJECTIONS INTO FUEL... Countless meetings with Denver's Office Economic Development got cancelled with one weak excuse after the other. Not deterred, I pressed on & managed to sell my vision to a collective group of individuals & a handful bought into it & off we went. The OFFICIAL LAUNCH IN 2011... After 2 years of brutal rejections, I felt emotionally ready to unveil the vision. Today, my very doubters take the credit without shame. ..And it just cracks me up! -  justic https://www.instagram.com/p/B1CLcrjJ9QA/?igshid=pr2odjgpiu91

ON MASTERING A GRIT MINDSET... in order to build a grit #mindset, you must make a contract with yourself to, completely, resist any form of complaining and #blaming, whatsoever. instead... accept full and absolute #responsibility for wherever you are in (your) life. then seek to, first and foremost, understand the exact #causes that led to the current situation you find yourself in. for it is only by understanding the cause(s) can you move to, meaningfully, correct the current wrongs that led to your current situation. lastly... you must shift your #wrongMindset to that of a #rightMindset, if you care to, truly, transform your life. by... - justice kwesi kwarteng, mfa. founder... - @iamprojectgrit - @iamcollagemag - @cofashionweek - @collageimpact - @iamjusticek https://www.instagram.com/p/Bway6dtFMv3/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1n22668ywmsr3

Never try to live outside of your means. Never. Too often I see people trying to impress followers on social media. Just be yourself. It's easier. Nothing is wrong with wanting to be in a better position but don't be doing all that fake shit for likes or to impress fake people who really don't care about you.  Try to aim for inner peace and stop looking to material things to bring happiness. Making sense? #likesdontequalmoney #likescantpaybills #brokeandfamous #popularity #instafamous #wrongmindset #changeyourmindset #innerpeace #truehappiness

Wrong Mindset #1 : “Terlanjur Basah”
“Saya udah terlalu hina untuk menjadi baik”
“Saya gak pantes berubah atas apa yang saya perbuat”
“Ingin sih berubah menjadi baik, tapi saya terlalu kotor”
Sekarang coba pikirkan baik-baik. Allah Azza Wa Jalla Maha Pengampun dan Maha Bijaksana. Seberapa besar kesalahan kita, InsyaAllah diampuni karena Allah Tahu seberapa besar keinginnan kita untuk berubah. Mulai sekarang coba buang jauh jauh istila Terlanjur Basah.

ON MASTERING A GRIT MINDSET... grit is empathy in constant action. grit is not 'hard-ness'. grit is #vulnerability in the here and now. grit is not 'brute-ness'. grit is the vulnerable surrender to every insecurity ever lived. grit is the authentic leaning-in to our biggest fears. grit is the complete overcoming of your most traumatic events from your years past. grit is the moment-to-moment #warrior mindset defeating of the abuses, fears and failures from your past. grit is the #mindful embodiment of love. but what is love? if grit is the #conscious embodiment of love--then what, exactly, is love? for me, love is about the conscious discovery of who GOD created you to, really, become. love has nothing to do with what is outside of you. rather, love is the committed effort and deliberate intention of looking within, as opposed to looking without. grit is compassion incarnate. grit is empathy embodied. grit is love in action. in order to... truthfully, change your life, you must shift your #mindset from a #wrongMindset to that of a #rightMindset. by... - justice kwesi kwarteng, mfa. founder... - @iamprojectgrit - @iamcollagemag - @cofashionweek - @collageimpact - @iamjusticek https://www.instagram.com/p/BwX8g4wFOO5/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=15e300uipqeim
