You've gotta hand it to 03 Mikey, he had just lost his brother, been attacked by something monsterous and was bleeding to death, but he still managed to save the babies.

Mikeys, across the multiverses, are one of the most under estimated characters. 03 Mikey in particular is quite the powerhouse.

idk why, but in comparison to the other animated versions of TMNT, the 03 boys always feel the most "gritty" of the bunch. like, they're gonna pull out all the stops to succeed in everything they do.

Coraline, Neil Gaiman (book)

I read it for the first time in elementary school. I completely fell in love with the story. I was young and I remember being quite impressed with it (for a children's book, it's quite shocking huh). Years later I reread the book and felt again as if I was reading it for the first time. It's been my favorite book for a long time. I always read it every now and then.

Friends (TV series)

My comfort show. I watch it at any time to have fun or just pass the time. I've watched it so many times that I know almost everything about this series. I can talk about it for hours or write a 10,000-word thesis about it.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle (manga)

My favorite manga of my collection. My little paper treasure, as I like to call it. I really like this story, it has everything I enjoy in a piece of media (fantasy, mystery, plot twists, angst, well-developted characters, etc). I really wanted to erase my memories and read it as if it were the first time again. It is breathtaking.

One Piece (anime)

Despite having seen Naruto first, One Piece is somehow more memorable for me. Whether due to its long duration or the complexity of the character/world build, One Piece is a remarkable work that I always talk about when talking about favorites.

Shinya Shokudo (manga, TV series)

Talking about Shinya Shokudo is not easy. Whether it's the manga or the TV series, it touches me on several levels. A feeling of nostalgia for something I didn't experience, coziness and tranquility. There are few media that bring me such nice feelings. It's simple but touching. Even though I have zero kitchen skills, I love seeing Master cooking different dishes and the customers telling their unique stories.

Hajime no Ippo (anime, manga)

It's a lifetime series, published since long before I was born. I've been reading it for so many years already! I always say I need to see its ending before I die. It's something that I simply have as a goal in life lol Seeing Ippo reaching the end of his story. (Mori sensei please be healthy, okay?)

World Trigger (anime, manga)

Amazing story, amazing characters, amazing world building. Everything about World Trigger is amazing to me. I'm a big fan of science fiction and World Trigger delivers everything and much more. The only sad thing about it is the very slow pace for the story to progress, but we have to be grateful that even with health problems, Ashihara sensei keeps going. I'll always support him and wish to see the end of WT someday.

Supernatural (TV series)

I watched it for the first time when I was a kid and it scared the hell out of me. Ever since then I've been watching SPN from time to time. I love the cheap drama and the quirky stories. Although, for me the quality of the series has deteriorated a lot over the seasons and I don't understand the fandom tbh. But that's another topic I guess.

Tokyo Revengers (manga)

Tokyo Revengers started as an obsession and has remained as a favorite. Time travel stories are always a must-read / must-watch for me and TR knows what they're doing with it. I love protagonists who at the beginning are nothing, but over time manage to develop into someone better in order to achieve their goals. Also, Mikey has become a very imporant character for me, I can say that in the end, he was pretty much the reason why I read the whole thing.

*I didn't include movies because I would need a whole list to fit all of them, there are so many that I would like to mention.

And now for some notes because I can:

I am increasingly happy with how my Raphs have been turning out​. I think the key is to commit to him just being friggin' wide as heck and making sure his head's not too big proportionally.​ For once, he was actually the easiest to draw.

Out of all of them ​I had the hardest time with Leo's pose. Not to mention his sword. Thankfully my sister acted as my second set of eyes and helped me with the perspective so the blade didn't end up looking like a banana lol. Foreshortening go brrr.

I ​c​ouldn't decide whether Donnie would have a simpler bo staff after getting used to having fewer resources or go all out and really soup up the thing now that he lives in a timeline of abundance. Needless to say I went with the bougier option.​ He deserves it. Also I wasn't sure what Donnie's hat color was, so I just picked one.​ He wears a hoodie over his battle shell, and it's iconic, but if he wanted to use the shell, he'd have to wear it underneath. And then I remembered the one line from ​The Purple Jacket where Donnie says he ​never wears a jacket while using his battle shell because he's afraid it would get caught in the rotors. I wanted him to still be wearing something, though, so: tank top. If I had a nickel for every time I drew Donnie in a black tank top I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

I don't have much to say about Mikey. I like how he turned out, which is saying something since he's thee hardest turtle for me to draw without him turning out uncanny lol

Back in Action!

I once saw @dreamweave01 say that the Woven Ties gang would get back into crime-fighting someday, and this image popped into my head and has stayed there rent free ever since. It would take time, but I really like the idea of all of them eventually healing enough to not only start vigilantism again, but also enjoy it!

I have enjoyed this AU so very much, you have no idea. The story, the characters and their designs, the art, the writing: It's all fantastic!

Mikey was down bad for his sons preschool teacher (name) (lastname).

The Omega was so fucking fine and Mikey was so hopelessly in love with the Omega.

"Mr.(lastname)!" (Sons name) squealed out as he got out of the motorcycle car seat and onto the ground, rushing to the teacher "oh hello! How was your weekend?" (Name) asked crouching before the pup who swayed his body happily "it was good! Papa took me to work!"

"Really that must have been fun!"

"It was! He and uncle Iza took me to a fancy redront!"

"It's restaurant bud" Mikey said walking up to the two from his motorcycle with a lopsided grin, raking his hand through his hair as he tried to look cool...only to trip over the little backpack his son dropped a few feet away.

"Mr Sano! Are you alright!" (Name) rushed to the tattooed man with the tiny pup "I'm alright... Just fell for you I suppose" Mikey tried playing it off but his bloody nose said other wise.

The gang leader was not looking really cool infront of the pretty omega who led him into the nurses office "the nurse isn't here yet so let me fix you up--here (sons name), why don't you help me by counting these stickers so we have enough today"

"Ok Mr.(lastname)!" The pup loved helping as he immediately tried counting, the two adults knowing he would not get far as he was still figuring out numbers past 7.

"Ok let's clean you up" (name) said getting the things needed and gently began cleaning the blood off Mikey's face, getting close and the Alpha could smell the pharamones off (name) and it took everything in him not to press his face into his neck for both the reason of that would be embarrassing as hell and he was covered in blood.

"Now we only have (cartoon) and (other cartoon) bandaids so what one do you want Mr. Sano?" (Name) asked with a smile and Mikey pretended to give it deep thought before pointing to a box "Excellent choice!"

(Name) gently patched the Alpha up "there, good as new!"

Mikey watched as (name) grabbed two lollies from a bowl and handed one to Mikey and one to the pup who squealed at the treat "Mr.(lastname), why aren't you also my papa?" The little boy asked curiously and (name) didn't know how to respond to the boy "well usually it starts with a date before it can get to that bud" Mikey said to his kid who slwoly nodded "well why you guys not dating!" The boy asked frustrated "I'm working on it kiddo" Mikey said "go to class yeah? I'll return your teacher in a second"

The toddler huffed and wandered off to class, giving his dad a look before closing the door "kids really just say whatever" Mikey said, feeling as if his chance was ruined and (name) just smiled "if you don't wanna see me again that's fine"

"Hey now, can't give my verdict till we go on this so called date"

"Really?" Mikey asked and (name) couldn't help but find the man cute covered in Band-Aids and a slight black eye and (name) just shrugged "here's my number, call me?"

Mikey was so down bad for the Omega who wrote his number on Mikey's hand and wandered out.

Ohhh, can you elaborate on the Mutant/Yokai apocalypse au??

Okay funny thing: i wrote this au back in 2021 when Rise was just beginning to air its second season, so I had no way of knowing we were gonna get a movie, nor what its plot would be like, so imagine my surprise when I look back at this au and realize its just an alternate, (much more amateur) version of the Rottmnt movie premise. Now its not plot for plot, there’s a ton of differences OKAY LEGGO!!✨

Like the movie: the turtles are all adults and the leaders of the revolution, with the help of their friends. They are in hiding from the rest of the world because of lack of warning before the invasion/revolution and are slowly fighting back. All the turtles had roles to play: Leo was a fighter pilot/foot-soldier, operating from the air where he had a birds eye view. Rlly leaned into his cocky do-it-his-own-way attitude lol. He also adopted a small yokai girl he found one day on the battlefield.

Raph was the tank, the one always on the front lines, first one there and last one out. He got real tough over the years so he was always using himself as a shield. He also saw a lot of allies die so he became quieter and more stoic. The opposing side called him Walking Death because whenever he arrived he would lay waste to thousands of their kind, mind stuck in savage raph as a way to cope wt all the violence. Raph had a relationship with a mona lisa type character and he has a small kid named enan, who’s a mutant Gecko/turtle hybrid.

Donnie was the brains of the operation as usual, in classic neurodivergent fashion he forgets to take care of himself and holes up in his underground lab where he tries to constantly stay on top of the Yokai’s mystic magic with new inventions. A bad lab accident left his shell and backbone exposed along with destroying his left arm and scarred his side pretty bad. He now has a robot arm and is bionically attuned to his inventions. (I have a more on his inventions but i dont want to spoil it all as i might keep them for future ideas :D)

Mikey is the cook/home-base man. Making sure everything stays running and doing his best to keep the family together. He is fastly becoming more doctor Delicate Touch moreso then Soft Mikey as he used to be. He is also gets to babysit the most often cuz he’s always at home 🙄/lh

April became their resident Medical Expert and has appointed herself as Donnie’s daily nagger to get sleep and food. She also ends up being a sort of therapist for the resistance but doesnt give herself the same luxury even tho the bros offer many times. Because she stays in base most of the time her and Mikey end up shouldering the same responsibilities and they understand each other on a deeper emotional level then most of the family.

Other Characters Roles:

Shredder is back and is the leader of the yokai’s, but is distant and only using them to conquer the world and become emperor. Baron Draxum is his Star General and the one mostly in the spotlight, therefore directly influencing the yokai below them, (and any major decisions they came up with.) Big mama demanded to be called Empress and she commands most of the army

A couple more things✨

Shredder’s whole plan is to reach the core of the planet to find the source/core of all mystic energy (which was later revealed to be canon!?? in the s2 finale wt the empyrean spring beneath the hidden city.) the resistance has to find it before shredder can so they can turn the tide of the war.

A/N: I am not okay since watching the Rise!Movie. I can’t stop thinking about or crying over these damn turtle boys. I wanted to explore some soft moments between the brothers, to soothe all the hurts this film left me with starting with the twins. There's also a bit of angst because come on this movie, how could I not touch on it. T AT

Chapter 1: Sixteen Years Old ~ I

The pink tinged sky hanging over the city is alien. Naturally, because the Krang are aliens. The technodrome that Donnie piloted only halfway back into the portal is suspended in the sky like a still frame from a bad Jupiter Jim rip off. Raph cuts off his tirade of data collection, voice strained. 

“Donnie-- Leo’s still up there!” 

They stare into the gaping darkness of the portal.

Calling them twins has always been Leo’s thing, and Don has always discredited the claim with science. No matter how many facts about their very distinctive species of turtle were spit at him though, Leonardo’s irrefutable truth since childhood was and always will be that Donatello is his twin.  

“Casey, close the portal now!!” A heavy thud cuts across their comms as Leo grunts in pain, “Casey-- ungh-- Please!” 

The portal whips closed like an elastic band released after being stretched past its limit, freezing only a moment around the technodrome before disintegrating in a blinding flash. The shockwave rips past them, flinging small bits of debris all the way across the river. Smoke plumes through the sky in elegant concentric rings, the graceful pattern beguiling of the massive destruction they wreak. 

Donatello sees none of it as he turns his back, staring in silent shock at the piece of wreckage that has sailed across the bay with their initial fall. Behind him, Mikey is sobbing, and Raphael cries quietly curled on the ground in front of him. But Donnie cannot see him clearly, his vision blurs as something moist trails down his face. 

The world feels sharp and wrong. Darker. Duller. Tilting on its axis, as if gravity has stopped working, yet the weight of the atmosphere crushes him from the inside out. There is a sharp ringing, but it isn't in his ear. It is somewhere, far off and yet somehow, inside. 

Empty. Gone. Missing.

From a source he cannot name, deep in his consciousness, psyche... spirit? Emanating from a place so integral to him that he can hardly begin to wrap his brilliant mind around it. 

A gap, a breach, a void.

Something is gone. Ripped from him the moment the portal closes. And it aches  like a gaping wound in his soul. 

His breath hitches in his chest even as he lifts a hand to wipe at his eye, fingers coming away wet. 

Donatello shakes his head as he stares at the tears glistening on his fingertips and comes to a startling realization. 

Leo-- His twin.

His twin is gone.
