12/9/20 - The Papa’s always bearing gifts. - Another, belated, shoutout to the South Pacific’s premier cap fettler 💁‍♀️. - I’m forever twisting his ear to get old of some of his cool fabrics and what not so it was after a recent delivery from @papanuisays (secret stuff 👀) I was reminded I’d been a bit of a bellend and never got to giving him a 🙌🏼 for this earlier package I’d received some months back, not only containing a section of genuine frogskin shelter half, like that isn’t enough. But also this smart denim cap 🤷‍♀️ - 💥 I know!! Though not something I’d of had the sense to choose myself (I’m unimaginative and always go green HBT) I’ll admit it proper blew me away to receive this as you’ll surely get if you own any of John’s caps yourself, that these ain’t your run off the mill thatch covers. - So to get one just nonchalantly slung into the bag was a bit to take on board, and probably why I didn’t instantly get on with this “mentioning”. - For the most part you will find John’s nod to the iconic caps of WWII, redesigned and tastefully tweaked by him and his go-to man @troyosheahandmade to give an ultimate version of those issued caps. - But its not uncommon for him to come up with a completely original idea either. Born out of an incredible imagination for putting himself right there and then to dream up what he thinks should be making it out to those lads if he was the fella in charge. - Neither is he all about war. Take a look at his past Rocket Riders collection.
