I don't really like the shaw stuff in x men first class, particularly Erik's back story change. I think it was bad for Erik's character (and the fanon idea of him) and kinda insensitive

I undertand it's purpose for setting standard engaging movie pacing, but I feel like there could have been other ways to do that without fundamentally changing Erik's motivations and flaws and without dramatic movie-ifying the holocaust into this weird caricature of real tragedy and trauma.
