Been working on [Devour] Chapter 3. This chapter is going to be lengthier than the previous two chapters, but I'd rather have a longer chapter than splitting it off into smaller ones.

In terms of the overall story and events of chapter 3, it is completed. But now it's a matter of going back to review and edit, which takes up the most time for me. Also, I need to take breaks in between and force myself to touch grass.

With that said, if all goes accordingly, I expect to have chapter 3 released sometime within the week of Jan 19th.

Yes, this is where the spice occurs. And of course, we also need an appearance of a new character to ruffle some feathers. ;)

Since I do like to indulge in some teasing, here are little snippets of the chapter (of course, these are still WIPs):

I’ve been working on a heian era!sukuna x fem!reader mini series for a while now, and I think I’m finally ok to commit to the direction it’s headed. Hence why I'm also ok with saying that there's officially something in the works for it. I'm looking to release the prologue and chapter 1 within the first two weeks of January. I went back and forth so much on this one. Literally, one day this was a oneshot, the next day it's a full-blown series. And I changed the direction of this story at least five times.

I've always strayed away from writing series fics for a plethora of reasons, but mainly it's because I have commitment issues, and releasing work that is still "ongoing" greatly stresses me out, because I feel like l have to see it through to the end. I need to pick a struggle. But anyway, it's always healthy to try something outside of your comfort zone.

I thought I'd try my hand at a mini series first. To be honest, I don't know what constitutes as a 'mini series', is it based by number of chapters, or word count? Hmmm. I'm looking at about 6 chapters, each of them is a relatively short read around 2-4k words. Could this have been a oneshot? Most definitely. But let me cook.

a/n: a little lore for the Choso one-shot that I aim to have out next week (Apr 23). It is part of my Sukuna-centric au: Cross My Heart :) but I figured I'd make some character notes about Choso (ft. a bit of Jin) because I've grown a little attached to him

cmh!choso - a little dry on the outside, but pure unhinged chaotic energy on the inside

cmh!choso - walked into the garage one day and asked Jin for a job. No resume, no nothing. He knew nothing about cars and didn't even have a driver's license.

cmh!jin - at that time decided to trust his gut instinct and hired him. With Sukuna in jail, he needed the extra hand. But he told Choso that he needed to get his license. "Ok" was all Choso said, and then he came back with his license a few days later.

cmh!jin - saw a lot of Sukuna in Choso, a bit more tamed and quiet though, but the kid probably had it rough, maybe ran away from a cult or something - which was one of the reason why he felt compelled to hire him.

"How's the new hire, darling?" Kaori asked Jin over dinner one night.

"Oh, yeah, he seems alright so far. A bit quiet, reminds me of Ryomen...more toned down of course."

"I don't think anyone can get wilder than him," Kaori chuckled.

"Can't really tell what goes on in his head though, he's so...nonchalant. But he gets the work done without complaint. Apparently this is his first job."

"Well, as long as he's not causing trouble."

"Oh no, he's good. I'll see if Ryomen can take him as an apprentice or something after he gets out."

"That sounds wonderful. Just two more months then."

cmh!choso - turns out, man did not have it rough at all. He came from the Kamo family, a business and real estate tycoon (but also known to be kind of shady), penthouse, vacation homes, yacht clubs and all. But unlike the rest of his family, he hated mingling, and was quite reserved, finding comfort in staying at home. He was living a life of opulence before he woke up one day and had an existential crisis.

cmh!choso - upped and left, casually stuffing a wad of cash in his back-pack which he found lying around home, and then called it his inheritance money.

cmh!choso - left a note which just said "Take me off the inheritance. Bye." and then took a train somewhere far away, until one thing led to another, and then he stumbled upon Jin and Sukuna's garage.

"This money isn't going to hold up for long, better get a job...let's see if they're hiring," he thought to himself.

cmh!choso - didn't even realize how much he took, and had a whole debacle in the bank when he tried to deposit the cash...because why the hell did someone just casually walk in with $50k cash???

cmh!choso - definitely got more out of his shell after working in the garage for a few years. He's still quiet but at least he can maintain conversations now.

cmh!choso - his family never tried to contact him, but he figured as much. After all, his father shared 15 children between 7 mistresses. He had a whole sports team to inherit his legacy.

cmh!choso - really looks up to Jin and Sukuna as older brothers but would never say it out loud.

cmh!choso - genuinely believes to this day, the best decision in his life was giving a fat middle finger to his family and leaving. Because he had finally found a place where he belonged, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
