I love that when the Doctor falls for women, they're the coolest most badass people (think of River, Rose, Yaz, Romana, etc.), but when they fall for men they're always loser nerds (Fitz, Rogue, Koschei). they've got the best taste in women and the worse in men. that's real bi/pan representation there.

you're yasmin khan. an alien lady drags you along to her adventures. you fall in love with her. you come out of the closet. she hits you with the good ol' "im not ready for a relationship" but it's ok you can be cool with that. then you part ways cause she regenerates into david tennant. you find a support group of people who are in pretty much the exact same position as you (weird!).
fastforward 2 weeks and you find out your alien wlw situationship is now going on his adventures with someone else with whom he's instantly opening up to (sad!). next support group session you find out he got married in the regency era with a geeky guy he met 2 hours prior (wtf??). a year later you wake up in a world where everyone's been brainwashed to wish the gay away and your alien wlw situationship is once again married but is now homophobic
