i know ive been posting about kinitopet a lot lately but this is my blog and i do what i want soooooo

kinito literally recreating sonny after his death is my new favorite kintopet headcanon yayyyyyy!!!!

i personally LOVE this idea because its a creative take on the "person dies and then has their soul trapped in game/device" trope. kinito can create basically whatever he wants through coding so its not a stretch to think that he can literally recreate an entire person. and a scarily accurate one at that, because of the "all it wants to do is learn" base 64 code on the website.

but why exactly would kinito feel the need to do this? what does he gain from this?

consider the fate that befalls every person who uses the kinitopet program: they're basically stuck there with him forever. he traps people in the program, because he wants them to be together forever, because he considers them as best friends.

so maybe... kinito just wanted to be with his creator again. he knew sonny better than anyone, inside and out. so he created the most accurate replication of sonny there ever could be; perfect, just like sonny wanted kinito to be!

even though kinito considers just about everyone to be his best friend, sonny was probably his best friend.
