My on-location sketchbook project has been selected by Edmonton Arts Council @yegarts for an Artist Project Grant! 😊 Which means that from May-July 2019, I will be filling a sketchbook (or two) of Edmonton landmarks and neighborhoods! While doing so, I’ll be running a 6-8 week public drop-in sketchclub (meeting weekly). YES - If you are an Edmonton commercial artist, emerging illustrator, or graphic artist, you are welcome to join me to sketch! 🎨❤️ The BEST PART? At the end of this project, I will be publishing it all into a limited edition art book! AND the back of the book will be a reserved section to showcase drawings by emerging artists who join me at my sketchclub (those chosen will receive a publishing honorarium + book)! 💯🎉 . This next week, I will be planning out the drawing locations. If you have suggestions, or if want to host a location, please send me an email! I want to feature as many Edmonton neighborhoods as possible! 🏡🏗🏭🗺 . If you are a commercial artist (or know emerging illustrators/designers in the city), please feel free to join, tag, and share this invitation! Locations, dates, and times of the public sketch sessions will be sent out to members by email 📧 *Please note that these public sessions are FREE and not instructed (although I’m happy to provide mentorship to art students)* 👍 .
