yk what. i can't keep blaming the movie adaptations for assassinating gale's character when scollins had a hand in the writing and production. it was 100% intentional to make him so much more explicitly toxic, to make it even clearer that peeta was The Only Real Option. Too bad it's my town now and i'm choosing to ignore the horrors

#yknow. for a series that has such a huge emphasis on autonomy #and how personal autonomy is stripped away from the individual by those in power no matter what #its really kind of ironic just how heavy handed the 'katniss was always going to choose peeta' shtick is #god forbid a girl build her life around herself #rather than the two men she's been trauma bonded with #chattering #hunger games #anyway this is me doubling down on both my katniss shouldnt have chosen either of them #and my everlarkthorne agendas #honestly all three of them need to be able to heal and live on their own outside of their relationships
