Introductions: I’m Est, a magician. I teach at a guild called Magia Seminar. All my students are very hardworking and energetic though sometimes they fight… actually, quite often; but they do get along very well. Well, this is more of an introduction to my students than to me.

MC first impressions: Even now, when I think about it, I feel apologetic… I involved her in a fight between the students, and got her soaking as a result. She didn���t get angry, and I thought she was a very kind girl. She has a strong sense of responsibility and is quite enthusiastic. What worries me a little is how she seems to prioritise others over herself.

Givre first impressions: Fufu, the one student I can’t take my eyes off… I guess that’s how it is with him. Since I don’t have any siblings myself, I cannot quite grasp the depth of Givre’s feelings for MC… However, I do in part understand. I want to help him become a good older brother.

Meister you’re close with: Uhmm… although now I’ve been interacting with other Meisters a bit more, before the establishment of Magia Seminar I wasn’t very active (TN: He was on hiatus as a Meister I suppose)… so there is no one in particular I can point out. For now… that is.

Kai

Introductions: I’m Kai, a member of the magic guild Magia Seminar and a magical doctor! If you’re worried about your health, come to me anytime… Hah? I told you, I’m not a delinquent but a doctor!!

MC first impressions: A kind nee-san/older sister, I guess. Thinking back, I ended up frequently showing her a lot of my ugly sides over time… ahah. Both when we first met, and even now. She has a crazy amount of guts and always does her best to help other people. ‘S what I for real respect of her a lot.

Oboro first impressions: Oboro, huh? He’s a very knowledgeable guy. The way he says things is so fucking annoying, but he can teach you a lot of things. He keeps saying he’s physically weak but… one of my goals is to someday make Oboro perfectly healthy.

Meister you’re close with: My guildmate, Gui! …HAH? You’re sayin the other guy, Sion? That compound-fracture personality fella (TN: he literally uses the term 複雑骨折 which means compund fracture lol; he just means complex tho) is always looking for a fight. You just watch, I’ll definitely beat him by scoring higher than him in our next exam…!

Sion

Introductions: I’m Sion, a light magician from the magic guild, Magia Seminar. If you have any job requests, please contact the federation first. I will fulfil the request at the best of my abilities.

MC first impressions: I don’t really want to think of the first time we met, but… let’s see. She tried to sincerely face me even though I was acting weirdly edgy. Whenever I’m with her, I weirdly end up saying everything… I remember feeling very confused about this.

Mateo first impressions: Although he looks like a tough one on the outside, on the inside he’s like a small child. I know he’s trying his best to help out, but there are times when it’s a bit too much and it becomes a problem. You can’t take your eyes off him, for that.

Meister you’re close with: It’s Gui. What? The other student? …Kai, huh. We don’t get along well, and he keeps messing with me. Stop treating us like we come in a set.

Gui

Introductions: I’m Gui, a magic tool-maker belonging to the magic guild, Magia Seminar… Uhm… can you hear me properly? … Thank goodness. People say that I have a weak presence so… I was worried that maybe you couldn’t even see me right now…

MC first impressions: I thought she was a very capable guild keeper… since she started helping out, Professor Est seems to have received a huge helping hand as well. She listens to what I have to say with a big smile on her face… and she’s so cute——AHHH, please pretend you didn’t hear that just now…

Platinum first impressions: P-platinum-san… I was a little scared at the pressure… I really appreciate it when people praise me, but… the way he perceives things, or rather, the way he thinks, is different from mine… however, I’m glad he’s interested in magic tools. With Platinum-san, I will surely make good magic tools… well, that’s what I think of it…

Meister you’re close with: Fufu. Of course, I spend a lot of time with Kai and Sion from my same guild; I think we’re good friends! …Also, uhh… I have some interactions with people from the Mechanics Guild. In particular, I started talking to Towa-san after a certain incident… we sometimes talk about the development of magic tools based on automata.

Under the cover of night, a horse-drawn carriage was driving through the desolate hills. The men in the back of the wagon wear black suits decorated with red embroidery of women on their upper arms. MAN IN SUIT 1 : This new product is even more suspicious than the last. MAN IN SUIT 2 : Seems to be another donation from the organization. MAN IN SUIT 1 : Another one? Aw man, they're all over the place these days, aren't they? I don't know what Mam thinks she's doing. MAN IN SUIT 2 : I dunno...But best thing to do is lay low and do as we're told―Hmm? MAN IN SUIT 1 : Someone's attacking!? Where are they coming from!? Fight back! MAN IN SUIT 2 : I know! Don't let them damage the product! ASSAILANT 1 : Ooh! That bag! I'm gonna take it all!! ASSAILANT 2 : Dude, this is bad. The bullet hit the bag―

After the shooting eventually ceased - only a black fog was left in an otherwise silent void.

*FLASHBACK*

GUI : We need to learn more about these guns...Are they being distributed through black market channels? If so, who are the people in charge of those channels? EST : They are an illegal organization called the Bloody Lady, with its roots in the land of pleasure, Graveland.

*FLASHBACK END*

EMMA : ―Everyone. I just received some information from Lannes. About the Bloody Lady and the Primus Club. CROW : Primus Club? Isn't that a big casino guild? EMMA : Yep. I heard it's run by the boss of the Bloody Lady. The Bloody Lady is one of the many underground families recognized in the Graveland. It was known to be the most powerful of them all, until the death of the Boss ten years ago. Since then, the dead Boss' wife has taken over and it has struggled for supremacy. Primus Club is a casino opened by the dead boss. Under the same name, it is also registered with the federation as a guild.

KAI : A casino run by an underworld boss? That's so shady. Is such a thing even allowed to be registered with the federation? GRANDFLAIR : I hear that there are many guilds that are under the control of powerful underground organizations. The federation probably figures it's better to keep control over them than to just let them get into trouble. EMMA : Yes. I know it's not exactly right, but it's more peaceful that way. GUI : Sounds like a lot of work... KAI : It doesn't really sit right with me...

EMMA : Usually it's fine, but if the Black Fairies are involved, it's a different story. The federation wants me to expose the real situation. That's what they asked me to do.

NOAH : ...You're adding a lot of work to my life.

CROW : Well, anyway. We can't leave it alone so long as there are guns involved. EMMA : Okay, so, Intel says that there are members of the Bloody Lady in the Primus Club, but I haven't been able to find out who they are. SION : Why don't you let the chairman or someone higher up in the chain of command do the job? EMMA : Well, it's difficult. Even Intel seems to be having a hard time with it. And whenever I've tried to probe them for info, they dodge my attempts easily. EST : I suppose it is difficult for the federation to get information, considering they don't want to get too involved. NOAH : They're so unreliable.

CROW : A criminal underworld. If those guys really have those guns, we're in trouble. EST : "Using black fairies to crush millions of human dreams," what Nanashi said is becoming a reality. EMMA : ....We absolutely have to stop this. GRANDFLAIR : But we should be very careful about how we go about it, because if we attack too carelessly, we will inevitably be beaten back. EMMA : (...It could be horrific if we are too complacent.)

CROW : ... Hey, guys. What's with all the noise outside? EMMA : What? ? ? : Come on! You little bastard! Pay up! ? ? : Wait, wait, wait! Let's talk about this calmly. There's a very good explanation for this... ah!

CROW & ITSUKI & GRANDFLAIR : ................ EMMA : That voice...Does it sound familiar? GRANDFLAIR : Hopefully it's all in our imagination... Anyway, let's head out. MAN WEARING APRON : You've been on the run so long, I finally caught you! You've got some nerve trying to dine and dash at my restaurant!

I know how you feel, but you can't escape reality. KAI : Is that guy laying on the ground an acquaintance of yours? NOAH : Nah, he's just a piece of trash. Let's get rid of him like we would any other trash.

ROUGE : Hey guys, nice to see you! You guys rushed to my rescue! EMMA : What are you doing here? ROUGE : I was just finishing up with some business then I was gonna catch up with you guys. But... If you don't do something, I'll end up in the slammer~! CROW : Sorry, Rouge. We're a little busy. ITSUKI : Yeah, we don't have time for Rouge. ROUGE : What's going on? If you're in a situation where you need help, why don't you take my hand? I mean, take my hand! Please help me! EMMA : Hey guys, why don't we all just talk this out? Rouge is part of the Moon Wanderers too. I think we should help him out. ROUGE : Emma, my angel!!! EMMA : It is not too late to hand you over to the shopkeeper, you know. hahaha dw! i also did that with him too when i first got him (hollow liker solidarity) and if its not too much to ask, would you be able to recommend team comps for clearing the normal and hard revenge bosses? im having a hard time clearing them 😭😭

i havent been doing this revenge boss this time around (at least not right now since it was the first half and i was preoccupied on yumeishi management) so the most i can offer is a few baselines:

figure out what type the boss is, because its gonna be really difficult running a phys team on a phys boss that ends up buffing itself into oblivion. THAT SAID if you believe in your debuffers/buffing ability, you can still try

if its AoE, run two healers + guard/dps/utility. in AoE cases, usually the enemies in the back that will buff themselves while targetting at random will be the biggest threat. make sure you have a unit that can grant def for the bosses type (if its a magic boss, a unit that provides magic defense or a barrier if you have initial cyrus/initial victor good to g)

if its a single target, one or two guards with evade (initial kent and asahi) is the most important part, because if the boss breaks through your line of defense itll likely oneshot your units at that point def buffed or otherwise

buffing > debuffing usually, which unfortunately makes chars like hollow a little less viable BUT theyre not completely unusable and chars that grant stun/confusion can still buy time for a dps to snipe an enemy in the back.

these arent Solid of course, some AoE bosses wont have enemies in the back that are of worry (though some will have healers in the back, in which case those Do still count as itll give the boss time to whittle away at your units)

for this event i believe both bosses are physical types which is great because in comparison to magic def theres a LOT of really good physical guard options, however if you dont have any magic offense 4*s i really do suggest trying to bruteforce it with a physical team since in my own experience initial shion and gui have been......struggling :,) and est just barely manages to hit my "respectable damage" quota even with shiranuis buffing

kent and asahi are really good defense units since they have evasion (moon on both of them), and in the case of needing to pick off enemies in the back DATEN mikage brings them to the front in his moon, railway hollow damages + debuffs the enemy 3rd from the front in his initial + sun, i believe the recent camus attacks enemy 3rd from the front in his moon, and going off that baseline if you can recognize the "mae kara 3" skim reading chars skills you can find more chars similar

im not sure how AoE dps manages? i personally prefer big single target damage over medium AoE damage since slow and steady Doesnt win the race in revenge bosses (slow and steady = the boss starts revving up its skill more and wipes your team) but it might work! who knows

i do have a friend whos in a ymkr discord so i asked if anyone in theres found a nice team comp but since im not in it myself since i dont like being Perceived:tm: i cant really offer advice as of rn, but at the very least this mightve been a bit helpful? unfortunately at some point revenge bosses become impossible for f2p/people who save exclusively for one char, so if youve made a comp that just barely gets close to doing so even when youre actively playing (i.e. no auto and trying to strategize skill timing) it may just be an issue of "my current units just Cant do this one" which kinda sucks if i can be honest since a lot of the meta so far have been solely limited gachas i.e. sweetfes kuchen and its Very disheartening trying to find strats and seeing them insist you have to have him

oooo u play ymkr too!! ^^ my faves are est, tamayura, and cuit. i kept making another account cuz i'm always tempted to pull for other chara who aren't my faves. the card illustrations are so beautiful, it was really tempting me. also, i have soft spots for emilio and kuchen i'm just in denial when it comes to them lol 🤣 i always say i DO NOT like them but deep inside, i quite like them lol 🤣

I'll play as many mobages as my gadget can handle 😂 (or give it a try once at least...)

Oooh, they're pretty good! I like Est and Tamayura too for a while. Tamayura ate 10k of my gems or something when I pulled for his Beginning of Dreams card 😂😭

I agree that illustrations in ymkr are always insanely gorgeous, enough to tempt us players to pull even if it's someone we don't normally pay attention to. Hats off to the art department 👏 Every time a new card drops, it's like... must... resist 😭😭😭 (and fail hahah).

Laughed at the last bit bcs I'm guilty of this too 😂 especially Emilio. Then again... Maybe it'd be harder to find someone who doesn't like them. They have this classic boyfriend material aura/trope (?)

Have you tried pulling for Kuchen for the ongoing event? Good luck if you plan to! I did two pulls and he didn't come 😂

I sighed inwardly under the weight of the thick book in my hand, thinking of the faces of Kai and the others.

EST : When I'm learning new things?

EMMA : Yes. Like, what do you do when you learn magic?

EST : Hmmm, I don't think I do anything in particular.

EST : If I had to say, I guess I read books and practiced. Sometimes I failed, and sometimes I almost died.

EMMA : You almost died? …What were you doing that was so dangerous!?

EST : Haha, I guess I scared you. My case was a bit unique.

EST : But if you learn the magic arts step by step like everyone else, they're not scary at all. So don't worry.

EST : Hm. Yes… I think the quickest way for you to learn is not to rush in the first place. Learn the basics and take it slow.

EST : On such a foundation, a big tree will surely grow!

EMMA : I see. The more you try to rush it, the harder it'll be.

EST : Yes. Work through it steadily, step by step. Of course, I'll help you, too.

EMMA : Thank you!

EST : Hmmm… Also. I have something I use to reward the kids for their hard work.

EMMA : Est-San? It's almost time for your lecture, you'd better wake up….

EST : ……….

EMMA : Est-San? It's morning~

EST : …..Zzzhh.

EMMA : (This is useless. Est-San isn't waking up at all…)

ANGE : Mnyaah?

EMMA : ……. Hey, Ange. Is Est-San always this bad at waking up?

Ange gives one big yawn and leaves the room, tail wagging gracefully.

EMMA : Well, in any case, I need to wake him up. Kai and the others will be in the auditorium soon.

EMMA : Hmmm… …… Okay! I'm sorry, Est-San!

I yank Est-San's blanket from his body, and he finally, lazily, pulls himself up.

EST : But there's only five minutes left. After five minutes, It'll be fine….

He snaps his fingers lightly as he says this.

EMMA : …..Huhh?

At the same time, my body, regardless of my intention, spun around, backing turning to Est, and seating me in his lap. Not only that, but the blanket that I'd put away moved by itself, wrapping around us.

EMMA : (This - witchcraft? Or rather, this position ……!?)

In the end, Est continued to talk in his sleep….. And when Kai and the others finally came to wake their professor up and witnessed the scene first hand, I swear my face was ready to burst into flames….
