After his depression ended, you said his friends were relieved.. But the way he acted still slightly tainted (I think?) so was the way his friends acted with him different? Like maybe a bit more wary of his mental health. Or maybe after the depressiom first ended more protective for a while- lessening or ending later on as they realized he was a lot better then? Ig? Idk-

They were more conscious of it, yes! They often took cues from Papyrus on when they should give Sans space. While Sans began to improve before the barrier broke, he still acted withdrawn when Monsterkind moved to the surface. It took around a year on the Surface for Sans to begin to become the skeleton we meet at the start of STTMH. Even to the current day, their friends continue to keep an eye on cues from Sans and Papyrus.

Not sure I'm using the right words to describe Sans's adjustment to the world after Frisk's deletion, but you can trust he was, and still is, depressed.

When Other attacked Sans and he disappeared for the day, his friends went under the assumption that he was kidnapped by someone rather than worry about him suddenly experiencing a relapse. So that was not their worry then, at least. ^^
