Muu and Kotoko's Trial 3 restraints are literally beating the audience with a steel chair how the Milgram system is one who's goal is dehumanization above all else and I am in love with it just as much as it makes me squirm.

Like. The more you think about it the worse it gets. How do they eat? Actually scratch that, how do they shower? How do they use the damn bathroom? Their hands and arms are literally unusable, and as far as eating goes, Muu cannot take off her barbed wire veil and Kotoko obviously can't take off her muzzle because, I repeat, their arms and hands are Fucking Unusable. Tasks like feeding and cleaning themselves, things that all humans should have the right to be able to do, have either been made a chore or nearly impossible. Their legs and feet are bent in positions that they are not meant to stay in, without a doubt causing an agonizing amount of pain and damage that when they get out of here (if they even do) can only be reversed through physical therapy, or in Muu's case, possibly surgery. Coming back to them not being able to use their hands, who is going to write their interrogation answers? Not them obviously. Es is almost certainly going to have to write them out for them. Because y'know, this humiliation torture sundae was missing a cherry on top. I wouldn't say that this is a fate worse than death, because I do not personally believe there is a fate worse than death. But I'll tell you what, I certainly wouldn't blame Muu and Kotoko for thinking so.

everyone in milgram deserved a "forgiven" vote.

haruka was neglected, emotionally abused, and implied to not have been educated or taught anything by his parents. he killed because he thought it would be the only way to get any attention at all.

yuno exercised control over her body and decided that she didn't want children. that's all she did. abortion is not a crime.

fuuta never meant for anybody to die. he started the charge online, but that was never his goal and his followers got out of his control. there's not a way to stop hordes of people once they've set themselves on a target.

muu was bullied to the point of being suicidal. after pain isn't and shouldn't be overwritten by it's not my fault. the pain she felt and the bullying went through is still real, EVEN IF she was that bully once too.

shidou's murder was that of people who were already mostly or entirely dead, and done out of desperation from the loss of the three people most important to him.

mahiru loved her boyfriend, and he didn't communicate about the underlying issues. it's not her fault that he decided it was better to end his own life than try to address anything with her.

kazui married a woman that he didn't love bevause of heteronormativity, and then tried to tell her the truth about his being gay. he never tried to hurt her or kill her, and it's implied that her death was an accident that stemmed from her shock.

amane was an abused, tortured, indoctrinated child. her murder was of someone who waterboarded, tazed, abused, and manipulated her, and it was likely done out of panic or for survival.

mikoto didn't kill anybody. one of his headmates did, and even then, we don't really know the reasons behind it. he did it believing it was for mikoto's sake, somehow.

kotoko killed people who were kidnapping and hurting a kid. she killed people who did crime that slipped under the radar because they were able to pay off the police.

can you argue that any of these deserve to be told that they can never be forgiven?
