Tech Jacket X Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warning: He only has a few comics, so he might be OOC.
I know how I have to write the pending requests, but this one just came out of nowhere, my bad...
Tumblr media
You met Zach at school; he was nice and friendly, he was shy and didn't really stand out a lot, and he was awkward whenever you both talked.
He was nervous when he asked you out, he never thought you'd accept him, but you did!
His father and mother were both very nice and welcoming, and you two often hung out in his Father's Mechanic shop.
He loves holding your hand, walking you home, and talking about a lot of stuff together while eating pizza.
He takes you out to gaze at the stars every night, cuddling together on a blanket, telling each other stories.
He loves it whenever you kiss his cheek it makes him flustered.
His main weakness is that if you hug him long and melt into his touch, he will melt too.
One day during school, he texted you to go to the men's bathroom. You thought that he was asking you to get freaky with him, but to your surprise, he told you an alien technology had suddenly bonded with him and doesn't want to let him go.
The two of you tried exploring what the jacket might do.
"Can you fly with it?" You asked, Zach shrugged.
"That'd be cool though." He laughs.
The two of you walked home while Zack was having fun with his newfound alien technology bound to his body.
"You know, you should be more careful using that; you might accidentally kill someone with it." You worringly said.
"Relax I got the hang of it." He smirks as he shoots out of a tree.
The tree falls in your direction, but he covers you with his body.
And suddenly a whole armor emerged out of it.
"What do you think Y/N? You now have a cool alien boyfriend." He flexes his suit.
"Haha! Don't go leaving me while you go out saving the world okay?" You joked with him.
"Pfft, Nah I'd never." He snickered, still admiring the armor
"But seriously though, I may be a human, but I will hunt you down if you leave me for a royal descendant that catches your eye because you became world champion." You jokingly threatened.
"Woah woah, that will never happen, I swear." He reassures you, opening the face hatch of his armor, kissing your face, smiling at you.
"Now let's go back home, Dad needs my help with fixing supplies." He reminds.
At the store, Zach's Father, Ed, greeted us at the front door.
You two started helping with restocking until thugs came in and started threatening him, Zach's instincts flew out and his alien technology started to make tentacles, trying to fight off the thugs.
"WOAH DUDE WHAT WAS THAT?" Zach's Dad asked as Zach explained what had happened.
Instead of being worried Zach's Dad made a shooting course for Zach to practice using his new alien technology.
He proudly supports his son using it.
The two of you tried to act normal going with your life, except it wasn't much normal anymore.
Zach would take you flying whenever he had a chance after he learned how to properly use the Tech after some time.
But nothing ever goes quietly for too long.
Galderians, or the aliens who owned the technology, have come to pursue Zach for the technology, thinking that he stole it from their comrade.
You were unfortunately taken as well, considering the two of you were stuck together.
6 months went by, a lot had happened.
You two were back on Earth.
Zach permanently owns the Alien Technology called the Tech Jacket, and he has a super cool space station.
Gifted by the Geldarians for helping Zach win the war against the Kresh
You lived with Zach's family now, as you helped Zached from the Space Station, and sometimes you even gear yourself up with Geldarian Technology just to aid him in combat.
"Why are you always getting injured?" You sighed, holding his hand as he lay in the hospital bed.
"Maybe because I like seeing you play nurse while I'm injured?" He joked.
"You could've just asked" You giggled.
"I need a little help here nurse, would you kindly help me?" He said, pointing to the food.
"Sure~" You hummed in joy.
"NO ONE IS GETTING FREAKY IN HERE!" Zach's parents came in, bursting, expecting to see something.
"Whoops, never mind, we thought. Uhm, don't do those things, you're both still kids. Got that?" Zach's mom reminds the two of you.
"Yes, Mom..." Zach groans and tries to hide his face in embarrassment.
Even though the world was going crazy, the two of you stuck together.
You two were sitting on a random planet, underneath a tree.
Zach laid his head onto your lap as he enjoyed the sky of this alien planet.
"Who knew we'd end up this way?" You laughed brushing Zach's hair.
"Sure as hell I didn't but this is the life," Zack replied.
"I'm happy to be spending this life with you." Kissing him.
More headcanons:
- He has a very messy room, and you have to remind him to clean it up or help him clean it up.
- Even though you're both already dating he's still awkward.
- He loves flying around with you.
- He loves it when you treat his injuries.
- He loves holding your hands.
- He loves cuddling everywhere, outside, on the sofa, and on the bed. Wherever he can he loves your warmth after he gets back out of space.
- He loves holding your waist.
- He loves it whenever you kiss him, especially a huge long smooch on the face after winning a fight with enemies.
- He loves eating Pizza with you, he flies to Italy to buy you the best Pizza.
- He loves stargazing and walking in the woods with you.
- He loves it when you wear his hoodies.
- Sometimes late to your date because of superhero duties, but he makes it up later.
- He loves flirting in the comm lines with you.
- Gets you momentos from each planet he came from.
- He takes you out on different planets for a date.
- Also very freaky.

God, you were so fucking stupid.
You had been so adamant about not going to that cursed place, where so many people had met their end. You had begged him to stay home, knowing that you couldn’t go with him. You couldn’t bear stepping foot in that place.
Now, you wished you would’ve gone with him.
You were curled up on the couch, right next to the phone, as you half-watched the shows that were on TV.
Your mind was so busy with worries of what he was hoping, what would happen to him, that you couldn’t even focus on anything other than your thoughts. Not only were you worried of what could happen to him, you were worried of what he would do.
Now, you weren’t worried about him cheating or anything like that, you knew he would never do that to you. What you were worried about was him relapsing, falling into that pit that only drugs could distract him from, only to pull him deeper into that same pit.
You were spiraling, you had been ever since he stepped out the door, but you couldn’t stop yourself.
The only thing that paused it was a knock on the door.
You nearly leaped from your seat on the couch, pushing yourself onto your feet and hurrying over to the door, yanking it open as your heart pounded in your chest.
Immediately, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and a head rest on your shoulder. “Xavier?” you whispered, gripping onto the lapels of his jacket, the pungent scent of burnt skin invading your nose.
“I’m so scared, Y/N,” Xavier sobbed into your shoulder, holding you so tightly you thought you may burst.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay. You’re okay. Come inside, let me make you some tea.”
He nodded, letting you lead him into the living room. “It hurts.”
“What hurts?”
“E-Everything.”
You nodded slowly, helping him sit down onto the couch. As you tried to pull away, he tugged you closer, gripping your shirt in his fists. “Xav-”
“Please don’t look at me. Don’t let me go.”
“Don’t look at you?” You gently skimmed your fingers up and down the length of his back, trying to calm him down. “Why don’t you want me to look at you?”
“He-he ruined me! He ruined my life!”
“Who did?” You froze. “Did... Did Blake find you?”
“He... He won’t be a problem.” You were about to open your mouth to press him further, but he spoke again. “Mr. Jingles came back.”
“Mr. Jingles? That killer from the 70′s?”
“He escaped from the mental hospital. He-he came back to kill everyone. Ray’s dead. Blake’s dead. Chet fell into a spike pit.”
All the breath left your lungs. “We need to call the police,” you gasped out finally, slipping from his grip and picking the phone up off the receiver. You quickly dialed 911, hands shaking so violently that you had to start over a few times. The moment you heard the operator speak through the phone, you rushed out the situation and begged for them to hurry.
Once the phone connected back to the receiver, Xavier reached out and took your hand in his. “It’s all over, Xavier. You don’t have to be scared anymore.” You squeezed his hand and looked down at your interlocked hands, your stomach immediately churning when you saw burns and blisters decorating his skin. Your eyes slowly skimmed up his clothed arm, all the way up to his neck and then his face.
A strangled gasp fell from your lips and you raised your free hand to cup his burnt cheek. “W-What did he do to you?” you choked out, tears beginning to streak down your cheeks.
“He threw me in an oven,” he voiced softly, his lower lip quivering. “I’m a monster now.”
You shook your head, taking a step closer so your chest was pressed against his. “No, you’re not.”
“Look at me, Y/N. How... How could you love me again?”
“Don’t ever say that.” You slipped your other hand from his grip to cup his other cheek. “I love you no matter what. You’re still the same boy I love.”
He shook his head, letting out a soft sob. “Why?”
“Because I don’t care what you look like, or what you’ve gone through. All that matters is that you’re here with me and you’re the kind soul that you’ve always been.” He leaned forward, letting his head fall into the crook of your neck. You held him close, whispering kind words to him as you led him over to the couch. “But, you do need to go to the hospital.”
He shook his head. “I can’t let people see me like this. I-I can’t. Please.”
With a small sigh, you nodded. “Okay. I’ll try and do what I can tonight, but you have to go in tomorrow. Okay? It’ll only be worse if we don’t treat it as fast as possible.”
He nodded, letting you slip away from him so you could go and grab some lotion and aloe vera. The entire time, he sat rigidly on the couch with his gaze set straight ahead on nothing in particular.
“Xavier?”
He snapped out of his trance at your words, turning to look at you. “Y-Yeah?”
You gave him a sympathetic look, kneeling down in front of him. “Can you take off your clothes for me? I’m guessing you’re burnt everywhere.”
He nodded slowly, slipping off his jacket and shirt before tugging off his slacks. His movements were laborious and slow, his face scrunched up in pain with each small movement. Once he was fully naked, and you were able to see the extent of his injuries, your fingers traced along his charred skin.
“It’s a good thing you kept your clothes on. If you didn’t, the burns would’ve been much worse.” You gently pressed your fingers against the skin of his stomach. “The burns on your hands and face seem to be some extreme second degree burns, but the burns on the rest of your body seem to be first degree burns, maybe bordering on second degree.”
His eyes lingered on you the entire, your presence almost a natural painkiller. You made him forget the pain, forget everything that happened to him.
You slathered aloe vera on your hands. “This is probably gonna sting a bit,” you warned, standing up and hovering your hands over his shoulders. “Ready?”
“Ready.”
A harsh grunt of pain fell from his lips the moment your hands made contact with his skin. “I’m sorry,” you whispered, working quickly but gently to apply the aloe vera to his entire body. Once you were finished, you let out a sigh and rose to your feet.“... I should have came with you.”
“What?”
You shook your head slightly. “I should have come with you. I can’t help but think that if I came with, maybe I could’ve saved you from this.”
“Or you could’ve gotten hurt! You could’ve died!” He reached out and cupped your cheek. “Y/N, I could deal with these things happening to me. But if anything ever happened to you, I... I don’t know what I would do. I couldn’t live with myself, that’s for sure.”
“And you think that I don’t feel the same about you?” Tears flooded your eyes as you stared into his own. “I don’t know how I can live with the fact that you got hurt because I wasn’t there-”
“I got hurt because I didn’t listen to you! None of this is your fault-”
“How do you know that? How do you know that if I went with you, none of this would’ve happened? This could all be my goddamn fault!” Tears streamed down your face, blurring your vision. “And you can’t even look at yourself now! You think you like a monster!”
“But you don’t think I do. And the only thing I care about is what you think. Your words are the only true thing to me. If I’m still as perfect as I was, then that’s true.” He brushed a few tears away. “But the one thing you say that isn’t true is that it’s all your fault. It isn’t.” A few tears slipped down his own face. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that the ones who think they are to blame are rarely the ones who are to blame.”
A sob sounded in your chest and you fell forward, haphazardly wrapping your arms around his shoulders and crying into his chest. “I’m so sorry, baby.”
“Don’t be sorry. You have nothing to be sorry for.”
You cried against him for a few moments, fingers buried in his hair as sobs wracked your body. Once you finally pulled yourself together, you pulled away from his chest. “I love you. So much.”
“I love you too. I always will.” He stood up and cupped both your cheeks in his hands, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. “Thank you for being the best thing in my life.”
You let out a watery laugh, carding a hand through his hair. “I could say the same to you.” With a final peck to his lips, you stepped away and headed into the bedroom, coming out a moment later with his robe. “I don’t think you should wear a lot of clothes, so I think this will suffice. Just for modesty’s sake.”
“I don’t think we’ve ever worried about modesty’s sake,” he teased, but took the robe from your hands and slipped it over his shoulders.
You rolled your eyes, taking his hand and leading him into the bedroom. “You need some sleep. We both do.”
He nodded softly, letting you lay him down in bed and toss the covers over his body before you rounded over to the other side and laid down next to him. Immediately, he wrapped his arms around your body and pulled you close, placing his chin atop your head.
After a few moments of silence, he spoke up.
“When I was in that oven, I just kept imagining your face. Every time I started to lose hope, I kept telling myself that I needed to stay alive so I could lay in your arms again.” You felt a few tears fall on the top of your head. “I thought I’d never feel your touch again.”
“And you’ll never have to worry about that again.” You lifted your head up, locking eyes with him for a moment before pressing your lips to his.
“I thought about one other thing when I was in there,” he continued a few moments later.
“Really? What about?”
He took your hand in his, his thumb skimming along your knuckles with such a fragile gentleness as if he was worried he would break you. “I was thinking- No, I decided that...  I want to get married. I want to marry you.”
Your heart skipped a beat, a smile spreading across your face as you reached up and held his face in your hand. “You want to marry me?”
He nodded fervently, reflecting your smile. “More than anything in the world.”
You let out a small laugh, filled with excitement and joyful anxiety. “I’d love that. Truly.” He squeezed your hand and pecked your lips once, then again, and then once more. You giggled and kissed him back each time, unable to wipe the smile off your face. “How about,” you voiced once his lips left yours, “we wait a few months for everything to get back to normal. Then, we have a small little wedding outside of town.”
“As long as I get to marry you, anything sounds perfect to me.”
“Perfect.” You sighed dreamily, resting your head back against his chest.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”

In these strips from August 27, 1962 through April 12, 1964 Tracy mixes it up with the criminal 52 Gang—each named for a card in the poker deck—who have found a novel way to dispose of the corpses of their enemies, Junior is smitten by a girl who literally wants him dead, Sparkle
Plenty falls into the hands of crazed modern artists and their ape accomplice, and (six months before it happened in the “real world”) a doctor has perfected heart transplant surgery—but in this case it’s on unwilling victims!
