GemPearl Steven Universe AU - designs!

I ended up doing Pearl as a pearl and Gem as an emerald :3 Pearl is a Crystal Gem but Emerald (Gem) has a long way to go. Still, I made her new outfit bc it's important for the plot in the AU, I'll make Pearl's Homeworld outfit another time (yes, there will be more of this)

I'm still up to changes but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out :3

Her design is based on a jester alskdjask I wanted to make her hoodie look like a moon and the jester concept came up bc of the shape, but I think it suits her jokester and whimsy personality quite well :3 Her color pallete is obviously red-ish, very toned down bc of her gem type, but still inspired by her arc from Double Life aklsdjlaks In the AU, she's well adjusted to Earth, so that's why her outfit resembles a hoodie and shorts, something very casual, but it also has her own twist to it, to make sure she makes an impression on people B) I'm sure she would get along nicely with Amethyst from the series!

Starting with her Homeworld design, she's the leader of a spaceship fleet, so she has to look formal and lowkey intimidating askdljaskl She has a large coat, gloves and long pants bc I was inspired by her antropologist bit on Hermitcraft LKAJSDK and also bc she's a very intelligent person, so a more science-looking oufit suits her for her high rank job and responsabilities. She also has her hair up in spiky buns, very out of her sight so it doesn't bother her while working.

Now, her Crystal Gem outfit it's completely opposite to what she is expected to look like. For starters, her long fluffy hair flowing in the wind lmao but still keeping two mini buns in her head. Also, now her clothing's much more comfortable, which alows her to excercise and play freely :3 In contraposition to her old job at Homeworld, which had her sitting down or staying inside a spaceship for long periods of time, I'm sure she now enjoys running around and playing outdoors :3c And lastly, both designs have different subtones, the Homeworld one being more blue (colder) and the Crystal Gem one being more yellow (warmer).

SO YEAH I HOPE YOU LIKE THEM BC I REALLY DOOOO I'll be posting more about them and the lore of the AU soon :3
