【Traverso】

He is descended from a Namek alien who fled to another planet during an extreme weather event.

He visited Earth to look for a planet to live on.

He thinks that the universe is so big that he would rather find a nice planet and live there than spend his whole life on the planet where he was born.

The long lifespan, weatherproof nature of the Namek aliens, and their propensity to drink only water help him make this journey.

He is not good at magic or martial arts. (But he can fly.) 

He is mild-mannered and sincere. 

He speaks politely. 

The word "Traverso" means "lost planet" in Namek.

【Flauto】

He is the dark part separated from Traverso.

He is pessimistic and nihilistic.

He is expressionless and uncommunicative.

The word "flauto" means "broken piece" in Namek.

The reason for Traverso's low ability in magic and martial arts is that Traverso has subconsciously shuts Flauto.

Shutting of Flauto also shut the power he occupies, leaving Traverso unable to handle the majority of his power.

The separation is apparently caused by Traverso's growing fondness for Piccolo and his mental instability.

Flauto also seems to have a liking for Piccol.
