Jinx notices the child, taking a few steps closer to her and kneeling down to be on her level. “Hey kid, you okay?” she asks. She doesn’t really know how to act around a child, but she can’t help but be worried as she sees how clearly distressed the little girl is.

It's been getting bad again. The guilt about Silco's death, about Vi's imprisonment for seven years. As she walks, she barely notices the tears welling up in her eyes, falling down her face.

She continues walking aimlessly through the Undercity, making sure her face stays hidden. Anyone could possibly be an enemy now, anyone could be out to get her and lock her up in some Piltie jail. She thinks that's stupid, how no one even bothers to ask her perspective, her thoughts.

Just another example of Topside discrimination, she thinks. They're always out to villainize us no matter what we do.
