clingy
— mydei x gn!reader

Clingy is not a word present in the Kremnoan language.
However, if anyone were to see Mydei right now, they would probably make up a new word just to describe the scene unfolding in front of their eyes. Most people would think that the notion of the crown prince being clingy would border on impossible—they would argue with themselves, saying that the only plausible scenario would be during his childhood.
But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Whether he likes it or not, Mydei can get a little clingy. You assume that it’s unintentional on his part. You told yourself that it’s not in his nature to purposely cling to you in a usual way a lover does; although the mental image of him pouting and grabbing onto you was a sight to behold, you were well aware that he wouldn’t be so shameless that way.
His clinginess was subtle. He does a good job masking it with indifference but if you squint a little harder, you can notice all the little things he couldn’t manage to hide. With time, it became easier to tell if Mydei was trying to get you to stay.
Right now—Mydei doesn’t want to let you go. You could tell that much.
“... Have you decided to go?” There wasn’t anything noticeably different in his tone. He spoke normally, you admit. However, the fact that he had to ask a second time was a clear indicator that translated to: Please say no.
Unfortunately for him, you liked to test how far he can go by trying to convince you to stay without being direct about it. You had a hunch that told you Mydei already had an idea you’re doing this on purpose but doubt kicks it away when you realize he keeps falling into the trap anyway. You closed your eyes and gave him a small smile, saying nothing but “I have.”
“I see,” he crossed his arms. You knew that wasn’t the end of it. He opened his mouth to speak again. “You’re going to miss the biannual dromas racing competition if you do.”
“I wasn’t aware there was an event like that.” You shrugged, “you can watch it in my stead and let me know how it goes.”
You can see his finger twitch—you could tell he was starting to run out of options.
“You’ll be gone for a week. Are you sure about this?”
“I might stay for longer depending on what happens with the priests in the temple. I’ll have to stay if negotiations fail… I can’t go back to Lady Aglaea empty handed after all.”
You hope your eyes didn’t give away the mischief bubbling in your chest. What you said wasn’t a complete lie but you had full confidence that you’ll be able to go home earlier than anticipated—saying that was purely to rile him further.
It would be so much easier on him if he just decided to be a little more honest. But you settled for this, you think he looks cute even when he’s at a loss for words. You stretched your arms and decided to stop for the day. “Well, I have to go and prepare my things—”
“Anything longer than a week is too long.”
…
…
“Eh?”
“I can barely manage a week.” You couldn’t believe what you were seeing—he was frowning. “Do you honestly expect me to tolerate a single second beyond that?”
You were stunned into silence. It was the first time he was this honest about his feelings towards having to let you go. It was unexpected, confusing, and most of all, it was exciting. But you couldn’t manage to say anything in response immediately and waited for him to finish his words.
“If you aren’t here after a week has passed, I’ll be picking you up myself.”
Titans, you curse. He really is clingy.

guide to love!
synopsis: after a delivery mix-up, ratio found himself face-to-face with a bright pink book that claims to be a perfect guide to love. of course, as a bona fide scholar of the intelligentsia guild, why shouldn't he try and see if those claims are true?
notes: around 2.5k words... i thought it'd be cute to write a smart character like him being stupid when it comes to love 😆
— ratio x gn!reader

According to page 342 of Guide to Love: 34th Edition, they say that taking risks is an integral part of pursuing love.
Reading that was enough for Dr. Ratio to close the book.
In all levels, there was absolutely no logical reason for Ratio to be reading such things. Anyone who could see him holding a bright pink book would have to stop in their tracks and think for a second before realizing that something was very wrong. He was the type to rebuke such books, after all. Claiming that the content written inside has little to no scientific ground to back it up—that the advice included was nothing more than a mere sham.
So what could possibly make him pick up this book?
The answer is simple: He didn't.
Perhaps it was his fault for putting too much trust in Heron Express for fulfilling his extensive delivery order consisting of hundreds of research journals from the Intelligentsia members residing in the Xianzhou Alliance. Most of the materials came to him safely, however the presence of this love guide only meant that someone put it there by accident.
Filing a complaint was an arduous task. While the company was known for its speedy deliveries, the same can't be said in regards to their returns and refunds. Multiple intergalactic reviews have brought this up in multiple forums, saying that it took them a little over a month to resolve their dispute.
Ratio frequently travels for his delegation for the IPC. He hardly has the time to go through all that hassle so in the end, he decided to keep it.
However, reading it was an entirely different story. One thing he could commend the authors for is how they made the cover interesting enough for him to cast a second gaze.
He wasn't about to let a mere book dictate what he should do with his love life but reading a few pages wouldn't hurt… right?

“Psst, have you heard? Dr. Ratio is in love!”
“Eh!? No way… That guy actually has a heart!?”
“Shush! It's still a rumor so keep it down…”
If Ratio was allowed to throw chalk at students, then he would've ran out long ago with the sheer number of students that scurried in the hallways talking about him. It was most likely an intentional move orchestrated by someone in the public channel; they were trying to see whether or not they could elicit a reaction out of him.
He wasn't going to bite their obvious bait. He's better than that.
But he was curious. About you. About whether or not you've heard of the rumors floating around him. And, of course, your reaction.
(Ratio doesn't want to admit it but the root of this entire situation was more than a little embarrassing. He can acknowledge that it was easy to get hooked by its bold statements followed by testimonials from lovers all over the galaxy but he never expected himself to try and experiment with one of the exercises listed in the guide.
He thinks of himself as a scholar conducting a study so he can finally disprove the guide once and for all but even the Aeons can see his momentary foolishness.)
The guide states:
If your beloved doesn't show a reaction to such rumors, then there are only two possibilities! They might be a shy person who doesn't have enough courage to confront you directly or, worst case, they might not be interested in you romantically. But don't worry—we’ve written down a trick you can try to win their heart!
Ratio doesn't turn to the next page. He still doesn't know about your reaction, after all, it might be futile to read the next section if you end up showing a reaction.
Honestly, he wished you would.
“Ugh.” It was the only thing he could say in response to his sappy thoughts. If someone else could throw a stick of chalk to his head, he would personally give them the chalk. This little “experiment” was supposed to be his way of proving the guide wrong but it seems like he underestimated how much it can sway someone who already holds such feelings for another. He knew he was already acting beyond the realm of knowledge when he walked around with the book for everyone to see.

Ratio intends to finish what he started. Rumours are already spreading around thanks to his actions, he may as well do its intended purpose. Luckily, it was easy to find you in your station.
“Oh, Dr. Ratio!” You stood up from your seat as soon as you saw him enter the room, arms crossing as soon as he caught sight of you. He doesn't say anything immediately, purposely scanning the entire room to find something to talk about instead of admitting that he came here for a completely stupid reason. His silence made you the slightest bit nervous. “I-Is there something you needed?”
He doesn't reply to your question. “Are you aware of what's been happening as of late?”
“Huh? Like… the progress for our current research project?” You tilted your head at his confusing words. “In that case, we're heading towards a pretty good direction after swapping the synthesis materials with ones that have a stronger molecular force holding them together so they don't fall apart at the second stage of the experiment. It's not much but we've been stuck for a few days because of that—”
“Hmm, good work then.” Ratio’s nonchalant reply after cutting you off gave you a bad sign. You conclude that it wasn't the answer he wanted—that what you said was anything but satisfactory considering that he was one of the advisors overseeing your research as per the IPC’s decision when they extended their help. “Is there anything else?”
“Well, not really…” You try to wrack your brain for another answer that might satiate him. Maybe something unrelated to research? “There’s a trendy café that opened a few days ago… All the other researchers were talking about their strawberry cake nonstop. I recommend trying it if you get the chance!”
“... I see.”
Definitely not the right answer either!
“I-If you want to know about something more specific, it would really help if you told me! It seems like you're looking to talk about something specific…”
“No, I've heard enough. Don't give it much thought and continue with your task.” He sighed, “I'll be taking my leave now.”
“...?”

Ratio can say he was stupid and it would be factual for once. He knew that the most recent interaction with you went horribly and gave him the worst possible results after putting himself through the wringer. On one hand, he's pleased to hear about the research project going smoothly but on the other hand, he's very much frustrated by the fact that you haven't heard any of the rumours surrounding him.
But then again, maybe you were doing it out of politeness. You two weren't close—it would be terribly rude to talk about such things without confirming them first. This thought process cooled his head a little; this was enough proof to say that the guide was nothing but a waste of time and that everyone should boycott it
… Or he can try a different approach this time around.
The guide states:
Ask a mutual friend to talk to them about you. This could unearth a lot of unvoiced opinions and potentially become an opportunity for your friend to win points for you by buttering you up!
Step 1: Have a mutual friend
He already failed that.
Having friends is one thing but having friends who are also friends with you is another. It may not mean much to a regular person but Dr. Ratio isn't exactly someone with the best connections, this sort of thing is harder to him than it is to most people.
He could ask someone from your department but that would mean potentially confirming the rumours if word spreads. There are too many factors in play and he wasn't confident enough to push through with it after calculating the success rate.
Of course, that's only if he sources someone from your department. If he manages to ask someone who is entirely unaffiliated with the institution and can get away with asking such things without rousing suspicion, then perhaps…
Maybe that grey haired trailblazer from the Astral Express would be up for the odd job.

Trailblazer: So, I got an update. It's a weird request coming from you but I did it anyway.
Trailblazer: But first—my reward. You have it, don't you?
Ratio: Oh please, as if procuring this flimsy blueprint would take more than a few minutes to do.
Ratio: I must say that your obsession with… trash cans is certainly something interesting. You're the only person I know who would be interested in a trash bazooka prototype.
Trailblazer: It's a hobby.
Trailblazer: Anyway, as for what they told me…
Trailblazer: They're intimidated by you. Told me that you came by a few days ago and basically interrogated them.
Trailblazer: You're really bad at flirting, aren't you?
Ratio: That's none of your business. Continue.
Trailblazer: They also told me that they looked up to you as a senior.
Ratio: Uh-huh.
Trailblazer: Oh, and something about a rumour circulating about you… dunno the details but looks like they were really curious about it.
Ratio immediately put down his phone to try and process what the Nameless revealed to him. His phone rang again.
Trailblazer: Before you leave, can you just send the blueprint to me already
Ratio: [Attachment]
Ratio: There.
Trailblazer: Thx
Trailblazer: As a bonus, I buttered you up a little.
Ratio: ?
Trailblazer: I told them you were secretly a romantic at heart.
Ratio: ???????????
Trailblazer: Gotta go. Bye-bye!
Ratio: Are you KIDDING me
Ratio may be a bit far-fetched sometimes but he's not a liar. Facts are the one thing that dictate the flow of research and how it shapes future studies based on them. And if there is one fact he knew about himself, it's the fact that he doesn't have a romantic bone in his body.
That's why he's consulting this stupid guide.
It's uncharted territory for him. Certainly a new field but one that he doesn't mind navigating nonetheless.
He figured that he shouldn't have to worry about it for now and he should focus on the fact that you showed interest in the rumours surrounding him instead. It's hard to plan his next course of action. It's too unnatural to come up and ask you directly—that would be a dead giveaway.
Scratch that. Any sort of interaction with you would be unnatural for him. He'd be too obvious. But there was no other way after he already asked the Trailblazer to help him with his plans.
So… what does he decide to do?
Of course, when stuck in a slump, it's time to take the more straightforward approach no matter how risky it is. How else will he gather data for this experiment?
But after dropping by your department, he couldn't help but freeze when you came up to him all by yourself. Fiddling with your fingers nervously, he would be an idiot if he couldn't tell that you were aching to ask him something—that look on your face was enough to tell him everything. He did his best to keep a straight face, crossing his arms in the process, and keep his mannerisms in check.
He cleared his throat.
“Ahem. So, what were you saying?”
“Ah, I was just curious about something…” you pinned your gaze away, embarrassed. Definitely a look on your face that Ratio hasn't seen before. “But I hope I'm not bothering you or anything! I guess it's a little bit out of the blue… and I'd hate to become the type of person that's too pushy.”
“Continue.”
“I know you aren't the fondest of rumours but…”
Ratio held his breath at the starting statement, hopefully he didn't look too obvious. He was waiting for this moment and he could hardly believe that it came dancing towards his palm; it was as if Nous personally picked you up and brought you to him as a way to show him the truth.
“You—”
“I-I was wondering if it's true that you're looking for researchers to bring with you to Penacony!”
Oh.
“I may not be the best candidate but I was hoping that you'd consider taking a look at my résumé if that's the case. I've always wanted to work alongside you and I thought that maybe I should take the opportunity while I can… so I went over to ask you.”
“Ugh.”
“...?”
“I knew I shouldn't have expected anything.”
“Excuse me?”
“How incredibly stupid…”
“What…?”
“Not you.” Ratio quickly followed up. The last thing he needed was to stir up a misunderstanding after being overwhelmed by disappointment mixed with a tiniest bit of embarrassment. “Don’t take it personally. I was merely thinking about something idiotic.”
“Is that so…” You didn't sound convinced and that's when Ratio knew he messed up.
If it was going to be like this, he might as well go straight to the point.
“Frankly, I was expecting you to ask about something else.” He channeled all his disappointment into that single sentence. He decided that if you didn't ask, he would leave it at that. But if you did, he'd indulge your curiosity.
And you did.
“Huh, what were you expecting?”
“I was expecting you to bring up the rumours surrounding my private affairs.”
“You mean the one where you're supposedly in love—?” You immediately put both hands over your mouth after the words left your lips. You refused to look at the man straight in the eye after realizing what you did.
“So you do know.”
You shook your head violently, defending yourself, “I couldn't possibly ask you something like that! It's not professional and it'd be crossing a line. How could I?”
…
Ratio vaguely remembered a line in the guide that said: Don't be afraid to take risks! What's love but a thrilling game between two people?
… May this be the last time Ratio would follow advice from a stupid book.
“Have you stopped to consider the possibility of me wanting you to cross the line?” He huffed. “Why else would I bother walking all the way here when it's so far from my office? Think about it, idiot.”
“... Eh?”
“As for your other concerns, wait for a formal announcement. Make sure to polish your submission. I'll be waiting.”
“Wait a minute—!”
“That's all. Goodbye.”
…
…
“What the heck was that…!?”

A pink book was thrown haphazardly into a trash can. Passerbys could vaguely recognize it as the book Dr. Ratio was caught carrying around. The sight was enough to shut down the previous rumours surrounding him and gave birth to numerous theories that asked the question: Why did he throw it away?
But he could hardly care less at this point. They're free to rack their heads over a futile matter.
Ratio leaned back on his chair, stretching his arms after finishing a scratching review on the guide under an anonymous account. He listed down every single event that happened thus far in relation to the guide’s words and made sure to detail how they all failed.
Save for one.
The last event was perhaps the only thing that helped him. That's why he gave it two stars instead of one—a gentle mercy coming from a terror like him.
His eyes shifted to his desk and a small smile decorated his face.
How did he know that he succeeded?
Well, your application was in the tall stack of paper weighing down his table. That should mean something.
At least you're more conscious of him now. It's a start.
“Now then… It's time for the next step.” He hummed. “I hope you won't disappoint me.”

when strife loves
— mydei x gn!reader
unfinished wip for intimacy practice
“How ironic it is for strife’s touch to bear such forlorn longing and affection.”

The ways in which Mydei shows affection can be quite confusing. However it may be, the root was nothing short of the embodiment of his bloodline. His love wasn't gentle.
When Mydei loves, it's akin to a neverending raging battle against himself. He puts everything he has on the line, throwing himself headfirst in hopes of seizing victory with his own two hands. His love was passionate; rough around the edges. Gentleness was something he had to learn over time when the turmoil in his heart finally dropped its arms and let him indulge in his “love” in its entirety.
In the way where his touch softens when his hands meet yours, his expression softening ever so slightly at the momentary piece washing over his heart—Mydei was gentle.
Those who revere him found the idea abhorrent. The concept of the sole crown prince revealing his vulnerability in the name of something as fickle as love was nothing short of a weakness. They think of him as a fierce lover, his love akin to blazing flames that threatened to burn—a kind of love written down in epics that bordered on senselessness.
No.
Mydei was born out of love, too.
The story of the “love” that birthed him might be a tale of tragedy but it was still love, wasn't it? Who has the right to dictate how his heart will beat for another?
The question remains unanswered; a fitting response. There was no one.
As long as his heart keeps beating, the gentleness he nurtured within his soul will stay with him. Even if his destiny with strife sends him away to wrestle against the unknown, there will always be a part of his heart that remembers you.
He'd yearn endlessly for the days in which he can come back to you. Sinking into your embrace, his head burrowed into the crook of your neck with his lips ghosting your skin. With hands that gripped tightly onto your hips, careful to not let his fervent desires get the better of him, it's during times like this when he reminds you that however gentle his love may be, he still holds the same raging passion in his eyes.
Except, this time, it doesn't burn.
He lets you melt into him. Gently. With the hands of a lover who holds you as if you were his greatest treasure—something to behold.
Historians and civilians alike might never get to see this side of Mydeimos in its entirety, and that's fine with him. His love was never meant to be a public display that people are free to witness; he thinks of you as the only one who gets to see him like this.
Vulnerable enough to face his back towards you. He placed enough trust to know that you'd gently place your hand against his back instead, tracing the scars littered all over, telling you all the tales he kept inside of his heart.
In the same way he loves you, he hopes you treat him just as gently. After all, you're the only one in the entire world he'll ever open his heart to.

Deuce and longing 💞
longing
deuce x reader

Deuce had more than a little trouble focusing on his studies. He may not be the brightest when it comes to academics despite how hard he tries but the effort he puts into reading books, assigned materials, and completing all the homework given to him has suddenly gone poof!
Needless to say, he knew exactly what was plaguing him.
The problem? He doesn't know how to fix it.
Even the wisest people known in the history of Twisted Wonderland can't name an absolute cure to a disease as deadly as love. One of the most common symptoms is being afflicted by a deep sense of yearning to the point of losing the ability to function—once most cognitive senses catch a whiff of that feeling, it's hard to stay on track. The dilemma has stayed with Deuce for over a week now.
Everyone else was starting to notice too.
The faraway look on his face, staring into nothingness, during class was a telltale sign of a problem. The slight red tinting his cheeks narrowed it down. Then, the long duration of such behaviour revealed that it was none other than the longing rooted inside his heart.
Then again, knowing the problem doesn't mean it's fixed. After all, nobody could provide him with a suitable solution. He's tried every advice given to him—forgetting them was impossible, avoiding them made him worse, and facing it head-on made him more anxious.
So, what now?
Deuce doesn't know.
This time, he'll play the waiting game and see where it leads him.

if you considered it

It's a dilemma, really.
Silver spent the past few weeks worrying over something that shouldn't take more than a few days to figure out. There wasn't an exact deadline for something like love—Cupid wasn't kind enough to bestow humans their very own love guidelines that he can follow. Philosophers do like to say that each heart is different; there was never a set of rules that everyone unanimously agreed on.
He can rack his brain all he wants but it's undeniable that a first timer like him can't go very far with wits alone. Logic is easier to digest; love is a different language he has yet to learn in its entirety while he's stuck deciphering the feelings etched in his heart. Asking for help is the logical answer but being ruled by emotions during this time became a weakness.
He let this stretch on for weeks. He kept himself awake for countless nights. He still got nowhere. Sebek already pointed out his restless behaviour that's making the rest of Diasomnia anxious because of how out of character he was acting.
He really, really wished he could provide a comprehensible explanation but he barely had any luck for himself. So there was only one option left—it might be a little embarrassing but it's the only way he can move forward.
“Is this love?” He blurted out. It was direct. Too direct.
Lilia blinked once. Twice, and then burst into uncontrollable laughter. He already had a hunch about what was bothering him, it was a relief to find out he was right. Silver’s ears turned slightly red after seeing his reaction, he couldn't help but hesitate to continue revealing his dilemma.
But he can't back down. Not right now.
“D-Don’t laugh… It’s taking a lot out of me just opening up about this.” His lips quivered a little as Lilia’s laughter died and turned into a small smile. He muttered a small apology, patting Silver’s back and urged him to continue.
“Sorry, sorry. That was rude of me. I was simply glad that it was about something like this… Haha, keep going.”
Silver took a deep breath.
“I can't tell if I want this or not. This is the first time I've felt this strongly about something… it's a little frightening, to be honest.” He sighed. “It's been haunting me day and night. My heart keeps jumping and seeing them turns me into a different person. The feeling stays with me but I don't know if I should do something about it.”
Lilia tilted his head curiously. “Do something? Like what?”
“You know… if I should try to act on these feelings. Courting… and all of those other things.” His voice trailed off, getting smaller by each passing second. “I’ve never done this before so I don't know if it's a good idea. I'm still considering it.”
Lilia put a finger under his chin and let out a chuckle. He looked at Silver as if he got him all figured out—like the answer was right in front of him and he only needed to push him in the right direction.
“If you considered it, then that must mean you want it, yes?”
A simple, straightforward response.
Somehow, it gave Silver the clarity he needed. He paused, staring at Lilia wordlessly. There should be some layers to this, right? Maybe. If things were a little different. If he didn't look like Cupid’s arrow was left hanging pierced through his chest.
So it made sense. One sentence to reaffirm his feelings was enough to put him at ease.
He really did want it after all.

where's home?
mydei-centric fic, hints of x reader
note: rare hoyo pull from me

Mydei can't help but think about what “home” is to a person. The word itself didn't need any clarity; it’s a place where someone stays—a place where they belong. To maidens and priests presiding over time, it might be the temples that wove fate. To scholars who yearn for the skies, it should be the grove that housed reason.
To an uncrowned king burdened by strife, it might be his desecrated land. Though that wasn't quite the case—only his warriors yearned to march back to Castrum Kremnos, ready to raise their arms in the name of strife and glory under their new king. To make that desolate land their home once more.
It was a complicated predicament on Mydei’s part. If anyone else heard the thoughts that raced through his mind, they'd ridicule him for not sharing the same sentiment as his people.
A lesson he learned through various interactions taught him that “home” can't be the same for each person. A group of people—no matter how similar they are—will always have a different home they hold close to their hearts. Beliefs and morals are merely means of bringing people together but a home is something one can attain through a sense of belonging.
Perhaps that's what he lacked.
For someone so extraordinary, he struggles with something as ordinary as this—it was almost pathetic. Mydei and the word pathetic don't go together.
“Each person has a home.” Hyacine once told him. After looking at his face, she couldn't help but shake her hands and added, “at least, that's what I believe.”
Mydei couldn't help but wonder what his face looked like to warrant that reaction from her. He can only assume that it was something that made her think ‘Ah, this person doesn't quite get it.’
Or maybe he made her too patronizing inside his head. Either way, it was obvious that she said that out of consideration for him. Though her notice told him that it was her personal definition of what “home” is, it was only through more observation that Mydei realized that her words hold truth in them.
It wasn't easy for him to see that home doesn't refer to mere houses or buildings. It could be a person, a feeling, or perhaps even a moment in time where a person feels like they belong. It occurred to him that perhaps his people longed for the place that gave them a sense of belonging, painting Castrum Kremnos as their home, blind to the simple gestures that make up a home. From coming back to family after a long day at work to seeking solace at a secret nook by the bathhouse—do these not paint a picture of people finding their homes? Is love not a part of finding one?
Mydei continues this thought.
It's only when love is lost that someone truly loses their home. If you lose love for joy, living, or even the smallest things in life—then how could anyone ever hope for finding a sense of belonging in this rotting world? If home and love go hand in hand, then what a miserable existence Mydei would be if he didn't have a place to call home. He does not consider himself to be devoid of love. His grief and anguish is proof that he feels.
Then what does Mydei call home?
Castrum Kremnos was long gone, overrun by the black tide. It might've been his home once but he can't find much comfort in a lost kingdom that shunned him away, it is only in his mother's embrace that he finds solace. Okhema wasn't as familiar but it was foreign enough to remind Mydei of the flame chase journey. It may not be his home but it's a place where he can come back to; his allies are ready to welcome him back as a hero once more.
In between everything and everywhere—
Maybe Mydeimos finds home in a person instead.
Perhaps it's only in an embrace where he can let loose. Fingers running through his hair that makes him feel whole again. Words that bring him nothing but warmth. It's only when he loves that he finds home once more.
So as long as he brings that love with him in his journey, then who could ever hope of taking away home from him?
That's the answer Mydei settled on. It's an answer he likes. It's an answer that holds nothing but the truth.
He sinks back into his seat, staring at the stormy skies as the black tide continues to plague Amphoreus.
He's starting to feel a little homesick.

Riddle and crowns 💖🙏
crowns

Some people may not agree with the seemingly childish notion but you believed that flower crowns are much more dazzling than regular crowns. It was a common belief that bejewelled crowns were grander in appearance and much more valuable in terms of materials such as gold and gemstones.
You weren't very sure about what Riddle thought of crowns but you were adamant about getting him to do something different for a change. The dorm was kind of tense right now, after all; given that exam season was just around the corner, there weren't many students in Heartslabyul that had the energy to goof around.
If you knew less, you would've thought that Riddle was panicking too. But you knew him more and you can't help but giggle to yourself when he indulged your request to go out to the garden for a special outing you arranged on a whim. The flowers were in full bloom but you didn't dare touch the roses he treasured.
So you found another small patch of flowers to work with. Riddle didn't understand it at first when your hands started moving, weaving the plucked flowers together to form a crown—he tried to mimic your movements but it was one of the things that Riddle can't get the hang of immediately.
You can only laugh at him when his crown falls apart, the lightest tinge of red decorating his cheeks in embarrassment. It was at that moment you realized that Riddle might like flower crowns better than golden ones. If he can figure out how to make them, then perhaps you can invision his crown being adorned with roses instead of jewels.
For now, you'll place your flower crown over his head. A small and humble gift for a queen who seems to like flowers.
"Are you sure you want to give me this...?"
"I'm sure. I made it for you, after all."
"... Really? Then it would be rude of me to turn it down."
"Aha, look at who's smiling!"

Alright, thanks a lot! May I send a req for SFW headcanons of Samatoki & Fem!Reader? Reader is a foreigner and that type of... Classy and elegant person? Heels, proper and appropriate clothes, independent, and high value. Yet reader picked Samatoki as her boyfriend because reader likes a man who can fight, protect her, and treat her really well (I don't know if Samatoki will give any kind of princess treatment or not lol!).
Is it too complicated? If yes, feel free to tell me so I'll change it! Thanks a lot and have a nice day!
first hypmic request YIPPEE

The difference between you and Samatoki was big enough to convince people that you two probably weren't going to get along. A classy and elegant person getting along with an aggressive wakagashira of the yakuza—the mere thought was difficult to imagine.
So it came off as a major surprise to everyone around you when you revealed that you were dating Samatoki. While you tried to reassure them that he was actually a pretty sincere guy, you received some questions about whether or not you were threatened into the relationship out of concern.
What they don't know is how Samatoki acts behind closed doors. He's the type of guy that puts family above all else and dating him already makes him think of you as family. He'll always put you first no matter what it is, he's a dedicated boyfriend that would go above and beyond to make sure you're always safe and within arm's reach.
He makes sure everyone who knows him knows you too. Sometimes, some men in Yokohama will catch sight of you and greet you with a meek smile. That's how you know that they're probably working under Samatoki in the yakuza. In a way, it's his way of extending his protection for you even if he's not there.
Samatoki gives princess treatment to some extent. Even if you can't consider it "princess treatment", it's a no-brainer that you're the only one who can receive that kind of treatment from him. He's weak to your demands, if you have any. He takes every opportunity to spoil you. He even goes as far as to do household chores for you if that's what you wanted him to do. He may be rough around the edges, but he'll treat you well.
He'd call you "princess" as a joke but it would stick after a while as a way to tease you. He often uses it when he's giving in to you.
"Look at you, acting like a princess. Are you trying to see how far I'll go for you? Bring it on."

Damn! It's nice to see a fellow hypmic's fans! Nice to meet you! Are you okay if I send a req with Fem!Reader? If you're more comfortable with GN, I don't mind of course!
Either is fine with me! Likewise, I would love to see more Hypmic fans here on Tumblr!
