“Do you think that Madam Rosmerta will have forgotten banning me from the pub after convincing the local drunk to buy me a bottle of Firewhiskey? It’s been a decade now.” The old bad thad to have forgotten right? Besides, it had been a dare from one of the boys, and Marlene wasn’t one to pass up a dare like that. “Because The Hog’s Head is totally an old person pub - especially with old grump Aberforth minding the bar.”

Her head tilted in thought. Maybe? She wasn’t entirely sure. “Well they might? Don’t they do it every year?”  She couldn’t remember off the tope of her head, but Sleepy Hollow has always felt like your cliche wholesome little town. “If not this weekend, then definitely by th end of summer - but I’ll be more interested on if there is music.”

Using her lunch break wisely, Regan was sitting on a park bench enjoying a glass of sweet tea and a bag of sour cream and onion chips. What 26 year old needed anything more substanital for a lunch? “Do you think they’ll do fireworks this weekend?” she asked a familiar face passing by. “After all, it is summer!”

“Cooooooome on Wendy, I don’t have a long break, come spend it with me dudette?” Peter gushed in a whine. He loved Wendy’s stories, he did, but he wanted her to come hang out on her break, maybe get coffee from you know, not here. It wasn’t too much to ask, not really.. Where was her sense of adventure?

“I promise it won’t take more than ten minutes to read through this story when I go on break,” Wendy began, passing over the coffee to her customer before turning her attention back to the person waiting in line. “It’s not the full story, and it’s a short story to begin with. I’m determined to get the paper to run this one.”
