         the angel’s pink lips smile sadly, placing a hand over the doll’s hand grasping her own. he told her not to be sad about it, but jiyoo still felt a pang of sympathy even if she wouldn’t be able to fully understand. it was compassion that drove jiyoo and she only wishes she could do something to help, but instead she nods at the doll,

         ❝ it’s sad though, that you get broken and sometimes can’t be fixed.. but if you don’t want me to be sad, i’ll try my best not to be! what were you wanting to do again before i asked about your eye? maybe we still have time to do it! ❞

singular plastic covered eye almost glistens with joy as the angel’s hand finds its way onto his. it’s so comforting, but 5 almost immediately assumes it’s because she’s an angel, and angels are comforting and sweet! nodding his head repeatedly, his gloved metallic finger rubs over the back of jiyoo’s hand, his lips curling upwards into a genuine sweet smile.

“ oh, yeah, yeah! 1 doesn’t let us go out very often, especially me, but i’ve been wanting to learn more stuff around town, like that one place you’re always telling me about! ah, wasn’t it some kind of store or something... i can’t remember... ” bringing his free hand upwards, 5 knocks on the side of his head as his lips purse in thought. he certainly wasn’t the most intelligent or even the most focused of the group ( no, those spots belonged to 2 and 6 respectively ), but at least the ‘ middle child ‘ of the dolls was kind.

     ‘ Being used to large amounts of curiosity, Yuuki kept his timid smile as he watched the curious ones. Cocking his head in an equal amount of curiosity he focused his attention on the book towards the pad. The timid smile shifted into excitement as it went up to his eyes. Giving the figures a big smile.

    ‘ “I got it from the bookstore I work at!” Yuuki giggled, he wanted to grab back the book but found it to be a bit rude. Shifting from foot to foot he kept the timid and awkward smile, not use to speaking with strangers. But, he was still excited to meet people who were curious.

    ‘ “There’s a whole bunch there if you ever wanted to check them out?”

4 immediately reacts to the other’s statement, practically shoving the book into the other male’s hands as he takes the paper from 3, causing the twin to stomp his foot on the ground and flash his eyes with repeated blinking out of aggravation. the two twins were endowed with the lust for knowledge that their creator possessed in life, wishing to learn anything they could about anything possible. knowing that there was a bookstore they could freely visit with this man’s permission made the both of them absolutely ecstatic! 

[ please take us! ] 4′s handwriting, unlike 3′s, had a slight hint of cursive, the endings slightly curved compared to 3′s more solid and straight strokes. [ we wanna know! ] holding it out, 4′s smile widens from under his hood, his ivory teeth practically glistening. 3, next to him, tugs his hood a bit further up onto his head. after all, the two were earlier creations, they weren’t nearly as human as 9.

each of the nine were created at different times, and some are obviously less human than others, but all of them are generally easy to see as not human if you get a good look at them.

all of the nine are literally dolls, fabrics joined together using various means. each of them have eyes that are hard to the touch and made out of various transparent materials such as glass or plastic depending on how late or early they were made. 

their hands are generally metal, though some of them prefer to wear gloves to walk among humans without causing alarm, or may wear hoodies or other sorts of clothing that covers them to avoid drawing too much attention to themselves.

“ my other one is fine, actually! ” placing a hand over the stitched up patch that covered where his second eye should be, 5′s other hand that remained in his pocket shifted around before he pulls out a short yet wide cylinder, the top covered with cracked glass. under the broken glass. “ this was my eye, actually... it just... got broken! 2 couldn’t fix it, so he stitched up my eye instead of just leaving me with a broken one... that would scare people more, you know? ” smiling somewhat sadly, he places the damaged former eye back into his pocket before grasping onto the other’s hand somewhat softly. “ but you don’t need to be sad, really! i’ve gotten used to it! dolls get broken a lot, you know? ”

four eyes of fiber glass blink almost expectantly as the two scholar twins look up towards the other holding the rather large book in their hands. in a quick motion of his hands, 3 takes it from the other and scans through it, 4 reaching downwards to tap on the cover with an innate curiosity that the two possessed rather naturally. despite their life size appearance, it’s rather clear the two are of an earlier creation than those such as 7, 9, or even 5. with repeated blinking, the two log the book’s contents into their endless database in their eyes, and seem to have forgotten of the presence of the person that 3 had so suddenly swiped the book from. 

looking to each other, the two blink in a repeated pattern, which to anyone else, would seem weird, but this was simply how the two communicated. ( it’s morse code, 2 believes ) perhaps, that’s simply because they were never given voices, as the others were. 

quickly, 4′s hands grip the book from his twin and hold it out to the stranger with wide eyes and closed lips. meanwhile, 3 pulls a pad of paper and a pen from his pocket, quickly writing with a rather fast pace.

as much as i’d like to immediately jump and start playing these guys, i do wanna get a general plot/synopsis page up for people who haven’t seen the movie and even to describe the general divergence of this blog’s story from the story of the movie. 

however, i have to wake up a bit earlier than usual tomorrow and so i won’t be able to do that tonight.

hopefully, however, i’ll have a starter call out as well as be able to plot tomorrow!
