Dematerialising the Church, Size: 50cm x 10cm, Clay, 2021
Inspiration taking from Yves Klein who sought to ‘dematerialise western art culture’ by coating traditional casts in Klein Blue. I have done the same with a creation of the Last Supper.

The Last Supper, Digital Photograph, December 2021
Expanding on the idea of too much power and corruption, my mind focused on the allegations upon the church in the past. I created this image challenging a traditional church

Falling from Power, Charcoal on paper, Size 100cm x 150cm, November 2021
Too much power can corrupt a mind and trap a person with the obsession of wealth. Falling from power can make you stronger.

Hera, Oil paint on Card, Size 20cm x 20cm, October 2021
I have shown her with a wondering eye as she is known for jealousy and revenge on those who accompany her husband Zeus.

Leboo and Jack, Pencil on paper, Size 60cm x 42cm, April 2021
When living with the Massai tribe for three weeks I became fascinated with the similarities and differences in our cultures. In this picture both Leboo and Jack are the same age and very similar in personality, however the way they outwardly express themselves is so entirely different.

This girl is portrayed with very simple patterns of face paint and jewellery as this is a symbol of her young age and lack of power

Nalangu, Pencil on paper, Size 20cm x 30cm, February 2021
Focusing on the project of studying the visual anthropology of Royalty, Power and Authority in different cultures I did a study on the Massai tribe and their use of jewellery to show authority. My particular fascination with this woman is the power shown in her expression.
