Lagos State has won several awards as regards security. The State was recognised for the best security and most safety conscious state in the whole of West Africa, the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command won the best anti-crime police squad in West Africa.

Also, the Rapid Response Squad Commander, ACP Olatunji Disu won the most outstanding police operational officer in West Africa.

Buhari and Osinbajo Expected at Talkstuff Launch

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo are expected at the Talkstuff launch on December 8, 2016. 

The occasion which will be attended by several dignitaries including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Minister of Communication and Technology, Barr. Adebayo Shittu.

The launch is set to take place at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse II, Abuja.

Lagos University Teaching Hospital Welcomes Its First IVF Baby

With the failing health standards in Nigeria, occurrences like these are nothing short of a miracle and a celebration. For the first time, the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Lagos State has recorded the birth of its first In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) baby!Professor Osato Giwa-Osagie is the coordinator of the Assisted Fertility Centre (AFC) at LUTH, Idi-Araba. 

He made the announcement on Tuesday, November 2016."We are officially announcing the birth of a baby through our efforts in this centre. The baby boy, whose parents want to remain anonymous, was born on November 5. We are very glad, especially as our effort is working; we want to increase the number of our successes, as such, we call on the government for more support and funding,’’ the Professor said.
