After a loooong wait (who knew getting a job would interfere with passion projects?) I gots another deck for you CC Enjoyers! Pumpkin, The Hospitable Baker! One of the few members coming from the grand and mystical world of Eastolas, Pumpkin is a nekomatta (for those wanting simplicity, cat human) known for being an exceptional baker/chef as well as an exceptional motherly figure to those who need it. Having well gone through her own hardships and problems before being adopted into the role of chef for the Eastolas Royal Family, her top priority throughout it all hasn't changed, and that's to make sure no one she cares about has to face their own hardships without her help Pumpkin is a bit of an interesting playstyle, being well rounded in most aspects but having abilities and cards that focus on not only healing but negating healing as well! You can even prioritize assisting others in the fight by healing them too either as a way to continue the chaos or maybe do some guilt tripping, or go the opposite route and stop others from using their healing tricks to ensure a deadly combo against them

Style | Booster Abilities: Homemade | Replaces all instances of Heal in Pumpkin's Deck, acting as a multiplier that now heals back 2 health per icon, this healing also can be split between other fighters as well No Touchies! | A chosen player will no longer be able to heal on their next turn, making any Heal icons they play do nothing, this goes away once their turn passes [ Pumpkin is an OC belonging to another CC Member/Contributor, so go check out @nabitodexart and there cool stuff! ]

Well, it's time to rock out with this next addition..

Absinthe, the Dead Man Rocking!

After living a somewhat short life as a upcoming rockstar trying to make a name for himself, he got into an accident that ended up costing him his life, but also luckily he somehow (and without much known as to why) was revived long after as the skeleton who he's become today. While his life was already spent, he deemed the new name of 'Absinthe' and decided to continue making songs and entertaining crowds, now with new goal of making others spend their lives the best ways they can and that's by enjoying them while they're around! Absinthe is rowdy and energetic which plays into his style well, he's got the energy to make big plays and with his abilities can make em have a powerful impact too. Plus if he needs to, he can rock the socks off his competition with rerouting powers to throw strategy out the window!

Style | Booster

Abilities: Amp Up | When played, gain an Amp Counter on Absinthe, which after gaining three of these counters then are spent when playing your next card, this card essentially doubles (ex. a 2 Damage, 1 Amp Up become a 4 Damage, 2 Amp Up)

Rebellion | Absinthe and all other players hands are shuffled together, before then being dealt back out to all players evenly, if all players have an even amount but extras are left they go to Absinthe

Tarr, The Anxious Failed Experiment

From an abandoned facility long closed down due to lack of funds which were supposed to be secured with their amazing 'Ferro-Worker' Project, comes the failed prototype who gained sentience and immediately along with it gained an innate anxiety and worry. He's a bit of mess-up and is clumsy but honest, having been outcasted by humans so has ended up gaining negative self-esteem and lack of social skills, which lucky for him isn't required to be a powerful fighter! While he's not too strong or precise, he's very hard to kill which makes him the perfect fighter for outlasting his foes, having a skill set all around outlasting damage and preventing it outright too. And when he really needs too, he can use his powerful skills in mimicry to utilize the skills of others too!

Style | Stalwart

Abilities: Psuedo-Heart | Acts as both a Shield and Heal, healing you per icon and also acting as a single-hit defense per icon too! Doppelganger | Choose a fighter and copy the amount of health they currently have, this icon also copies the ability of choice of that same fighter

(Side note: Cards aren't actually that purple, it's some weird effect I can't figure out for Jpegs of them when on my computer, maybe it's only visual for me though so if it looks not that purple to others then ignore this ig?)

Another member of the roster: Chiyo, Sanctuary's Top Bodyguard

(Chiyo is an OC that belongs to @/quotzle on Twitter!)

Coming from a private stronghold known as Sanctuary which contains an alliance force of soldier-trained figures, Chiyo herself being the bodyguard of their long-time inseparable friend Reyes, and is a masterful tactician of combat who's ability to control the stakes of battle definitely makes them a threat in any battle of Cartoon Calamity. They're stead-fast and often collected and reserved, yet with deep emotion but also with enough restraint to keep them from interfering when there's no need Her style incorporates a good bit of strategy, requiring thought in their actions due to the use of Adapt Counters, which she gains when dealing damage to other fighters. With the use of her abilities also allowing her to control the flow of combat through redirection and attrition

Style | Manipulator Abilities: Parry | Replaces Shield, instead of only blocking damage dealt to it like a Shield, this icon also inflicts the damage blocked back onto the attacker Enervate | Choose a player or split between multiple players, for every Adapt Counter on Chiyo, remove a card from the chosen player/s hand

CC Basic Rules Guide!!

Probably a good idea to highlight how Cartoon Calamity actually works, so uh, here it goes! Cartoon Calamity gamewise is like a table-top fighting game, it revolves around picking a character (which each has a unique deck with unique abilities) and using them to fight other players with their own chosen characters, and reducing their health until one is left to be the winner! First is the main cards, which is simple: Each character has a Health Card and Character Card, Character Cards highlight their abilities and if they have one, also state their Special Trait which is often a unique gimmick or trick they play with in combat. Health Cards display health, like the name, each having 10 health and reduces when hit or increases when healed (In gameplay, you would use your Character Card to show how much health their at, putting it on top and sliding it down when taking hits)

(For reference, Absinthe here will show what I mean, Left is his Character Card while the right is his Health Card. You can also see his abilities and Special Trait on his Character Card) Now each deck has Action Cards too, basically the meat and potatoes which actually do things during your turn. How each turn works is that when it becomes your turn, you draw a card from your Action Cards deck and then can play one card before passing turn, though the amount you play can be increased with certain actions Here are the different Main Actions: Attack | Deal damage to player of your choice Heal | Heal damage you have taken Energy | Play an extra card on this turn Draw | Draw an extra card on this turn Shield | Takes damage for the player instead of against their health

(These are the icons for reference. I don't have the Attack icon on stand-by but uh . . You'll see it, it's the boxing glove that appears on cards) So for example...

Shock Breaker is one of Absinthe's many cards at hand, it has a Attack and Energy icon on it, so how it works is that since theirs 1 Attack then he can do 1 damage to a given player and then play an extra card due to the 1 Energy

Vocal Warm-Up is another one at his disposal, it has 1 Energy so he can play an extra card like Shock Breaker, but it has 2 Draws which means he draws twice as well!

And this is Blarin' Speaker, which is one of his unique cards since it uses one of his special abilties Amp Up It has a Shield Icon too, which means this card stays on the field and when Absinthe takes damage, this card will instead take it and then be destroyed. It has 1 Shield, so it does this for 1 Damage, meaning if hit with 2 Damage then this will break and Absinthe will only take 1 instead

While their are many other mechanics which involve other characters and their abilities or specific conditions, these are the basics of how the game works! If you wanna know more of course, or just need clarifying, ask away! I like explaining stuff anyhow..

Say hello to one of the many roster members of Cartoon Calamity: Rosifre, The Phoenix of New Pyritia!!

She hails from a universe where the era of organized crime of mobsters and sleuths of speakeasies and art deco depravity never faded away with the eras, along with some additions of powers and oddities some may say. She's the proud boss of the Flaming Roses gang, a gang of burning hearts looking to make their mark through their violent tactics and territory claiming, and Rosifre carries this passion along with being a hot-headed leader prone to talking with her kicks! Her style is heavily focused on harming others, like her lifestyle really, having abilties focused on dealing damage to as many people as she can or directing damage to her worst enemies! Of course the consequence being she lacks any healing, forced to rely on Shields and high damage to knock out the competition before she gets knocked down herself

Style | Pugilist Abilities: Lock-On | Choose a player in the fight, until it becomes your turn again, all Attack icons are inflicted onto the chosen player and no one else Combust | Any cards bearing this icon deal AoE damage, doing damage equal to the amount of Attack icons on the card to everyone besides yourself in the fight
