Idk which king to make a dwarf, I'm leaning towards the golden one bc idk it just looks so soft and sweet and my dwarf king goal is to write some deep lore for it and make it the most murderous evil little bitty lion ever. Gna be posed as male adol but referred to as just a maned female and I'll probably make a CD for it of claw extensions and maybe a couple scars and longer slightly blood stained teeth,,, and earrings/jewelry bc I'm obsessed w nose chains decor(and butterflies)

Why Wolvden is Problematic

First, context: Wolvden is an anticipated browser-based breeding and roleplaying SIM, similar to Howrse, Flight Rising, and its sister site Lioden.

While it is much anticipated, there are issues with their current testing phase, surrounding a current tester. For the testing phase, the developers put out applications to bring beta testers onto the team. The developers would then pick the individuals they deemed fit for testing to join the team. This was not a randomized process.

One the testers that was chosen had played their sister-site, Lioden previously (and currently). This user has had a history of manipulative and passive aggressive behavior towards other players, which is the first red flag. Their behavior included harassment via DMs, public forums, and even off-site messaging platforms.

Recently, the tester in question (Star), had particularly problematic behavior. In the past week, she has developed a string of insensitive role-play threads, which revolved around the Holocaust and a pandemic.

After receiving backlash for their first Holocaust roleplay thread, they begrudgingly changed it “due to certain reasons”, showing no remorse whatsoever for their previous insensitive and outright disgusting post. In fact, they even seemed to complain about having to “change it” (on the sister site). Even with changing it, the plot was still very distasteful due to current events surrounding the pandemic.

Infatuation with Hitler being a “powerful leader” and purposeful ignorance of history.

What was most disgusting was Star’s repeated spam of “(XD), LOL, and laughing” in the already problematic context. It is honestly so horrendous that they found the massacre of 11 million people hilarious. It is even worse that they find some kind of sick joy in trying to reenact the gruesome crimes of the Nazis.

Another screenshot. Star continued to spam (XD) in regards to jews being massacred. It was downright disgusting and I could not stop shaking reading these. I felt physically ill. They also seemed *very* willing to “play” Hitler and took joy in doing so. These are not even close to all the screenshots. The source that they came from was quickly kicked from the group once they were found out, so I can only imagine how much worse it got and how long it continued for.

After this blew up, with screenshots surfacing and more receipts being uncovered, Star was cornered. In their private Discord, they publicly asked for help for people to post on their blog to DEFEND them. Rather than apologizing first, they asked for one of their server friends to ATTACK the people who have been HURT by their insensitivity. They continued to play the victim once the receipts were released.

Rightfully so, there was even more backlash over the attack. Finally Star begrudgingly “apologized”. Even in her apology, she is still playing the victim, as obvious by her choice of words and formatting (i.e, repeated “…”s). Star’s blog is also problematic, because she only posts while in the middle of some sort of scandal. It’s a blog “meant to spread positivity”, but only when she’s been outed for questionable behavior. Keep in mind while they preach positivity, it’s only “positivity” for themselves. They continue to harass and guilt trip other players both on and offsite. 

And FINALLY, the admin response. After this came out, people found it VERY problematic that the user in question was on the Wolvden TEAM. Reports were sent in by people who felt unsafe with a person like Star on their team. Of course, the admins brushed it off casually. They claim they “are unable to moderate or punish off-site conduct”, while the original posting for the roleplay, and the link to the Discord, were all posted ON-SITE. Star still remains on Wolvden’s testing team, reflecting their values as a COMPANY.

Keep in mind that Star is an ADULT. She is not a minor. She is an adult who chooses to make these choices, and when faced with the consequences victimizes herself to get out of the situation.

I do not feel comfortable playing a game that tolerates these kinds of views and actions. The fact that they still value her as a member of their beta team speaks volumes.

my full statement on what i feel about the july event storyline. as some of you close to me know, i deal with domestic violence in my home life. i feel very strongly about this event. while the topics presented aren’t individual triggers for me, i understand they are for other people, and i want you guys to be able to enjoy the lion game without this hanging over your heads.

Literally just don't try to breed or buy the new raffle base and July is 100% peaceful. Shit doesn't go down AT ALL unless you actively insert yourself into the drama that surrounds the celestial lioness bases. Newbies there's nothing to worry about and if the inc/st makes u uncomfty to read then I suggest going through the storylines now and noting which responses to pick so you don't gotta read the pages when they show up! This event isn't a /complete/ shit show like some make it out to be
