Reflection/Conclusion
Healthful is a personalised health companion for anyone who wants to be assisted with navigating health information online. It provides filtered results specific to personal information and depicts medical terms portraying them in a way that is a lot less intimidating. The colours, illustrations and imagery are all used to further that goal of the platform which is to keep people calm when researching health info. The design could be created as a working website or even merged into an already functioning health website in their own branding.I have really enjoyed this final year as I was able to work on a human centred project and create an outcome that provides a meaningful and relevant experience to users. This has given me a great insight into the research that goes into designing for an audience and I am excited to pursue this in the future.

Journey maps of other demographics using healthful. Henry is from a younger age group and shows the process of a sign up. Anne is older and wants to further research a condition she has. Healthful is accessible to multiple demographics.

I wanted to make a version of healthful that is available as an app. If someone has bad health anxiety then this platform would be much more available to them. Also different generations prefer apps over a website. The app has the same visual style and components as the website.

More illustration and pattern. I have also played around with plants lines and texture to bring all of the illustrations together. I really want the website to be almost fun, all the other websites I researched and looked on were so empty and really lacked the user friendly appeal. The health symbols still give people the impression that they are on a health website but in a nice bright way.

This is a result from the health dictionary. The user is given a brief overview and is then able to go through the condition bit by bit. I wanted the tabs to be closed so users are not overwhelmed with pages of information all at once, so when they click on risks the are are prepared for what they are about to read. Users can search any conditions they are curious about and find the same set up of results. The results are also pretend the same way after a symptom assessment.

After the assessment the user is given assessment results which they are able to save and view again at any point. It has possible conditions that they may have and they are able to view and research them by clicking on the ‘tell me more’ button. They can view all of their symptoms to make sure that they are correct and track them if they would like. I also want to have cues after each assesment to remind the user that everything is okay and if they are worried or concerned to definitely contact their doctor.

The user can search for any symptom or feeling they are having and be presented with possible symptoms that they feel are the most relevant to them

I have set it up so each symptom assessment asks the user a series of questions that relate back to their chosen symptoms. I wanted to keep the questions seperate so that the assessment isn't overwhelming and the user can really answer them correctly. I did find the question pages were a little bare so I have also tried adding a description next to the question that not only makes the page fuller but also calms the user and allows them to really understand the question asked.

My updated landing page, I got rid of the articles and top searches because I wanted to make the website a signup platform. The opening page says ‘your personalised health companion’ which instantly gives users an insight into what the website is for. Colour and illustration fill the page with the easy steps to create a profile and a further insight into the main ways Healthful can help them.

The top of the web browser is simple and provides easy access to the main components of the app. I have also allowed for multiple profiles on one account, this could be for families with younger people wanting to use the app or possibly people that don't have emails (maybe older people). You can view your profile at any time and change any information.

I have developed my illustrations to be more in my colour palette and have kept them very simple. I am playing around with pattern and plants/flowers also, I wanted a way to bring together the humans/families as scenes to make them more interesting, they would also be good for extra placement on pages to keep the style the same throughout. The shapes are very simple because this is still a health/medical website so I didn't want them to be too out there and confuse people with what the website is actually for.

Gradient a pattern I have made for depth on the website I don't want it to be boring or sterile it needs to be inviting

This is my decided colour palette I went with blues purples which stand for authenticity, truth which is what I want my website to have.

I tested having images on a further page if the user doesn't fully understand the question that can refer to this, although are the photos too much?

Further development of my website. I am working on the layout and keeping things spread out so the information is not overwhelming. I also want the titles to be terms that we all know like common cold, the medical term will be displayed underneath.
