I just spent the last two days stuck with the flu and that resulted in me watching Gilmore Girls, and let me tell ya ---- I fuckin' cried when Rory graduated. I have no shame, at all.

In an utterly futile attempt at getting back in touch with my inner self, I decided to go to this poetry slam in the poorer side of town and even though the risk of contracting some awful viral infection was highly possible, I decided to stay. Eventually, though, I bolted when this creepy guy wrote a poem about how I was named after a college. Now I’m just irritated and in desperate need of inspiration and culture.

Huh --- now I'm trying to figure out how your name is also the name of a college. Well, you could always go to the town's art gallery. It's got like pretty good photography that has nice stories behind them?

chasing the night ;; open

Loud music was filling the club, several bodies grinding together on the dance floor while more were gathered at small tables and even the bar. He was at the bar first, pouring drink after drink, downing shot after shot when he received them - which was more than often because drunk people never wanted to drink alone, that was a fact he had picked on the minute he started working there. The scent of cherries and vodka filled his nostrils, but Charlie pushed that aside, despite the fact that he wasn't entirely too sure how he felt with that scent at the moment, he had to stay professional. Receiving a pat on the back from Matthew ( he was about ready to replace him for the night ), Charlie finished his drink and pushed it towards the customer, taking the generous tip he received and stuffed it in the pocket of his jeans shorts. No one was allowed to wear long jeans unless it was far too cold to wear shorts, and surprisingly, in the darkness of the club, he was more than comfortable with that. If it were outside of the club, he really wouldn't be comfortable with it.  See --- the club had a steady flow ; everyone knew everyone and if you were new, you easily fitted in because a lot of the dancers and bartenders had a few secrets of their own -- similar to Charlie's for that matter. Climbing on the platform, he allowed his co-worker to sprinkle some glitter --- it was a bitch to get out the hair but it worked well with lighting and made dancers stand out from waiters -- before taking his position. It took him several seconds to get into the second, but once he was fully in it, he started to move to the beat of the song, hips moving with ease, arms extended for several seconds until he got to the rhythm of the song, eyes closing with ease.

Well --- it's good that ya still have your tongue, would be a shame if you didn't. I mean -- a tongue is pretty useful and it's kind of necessary to have it.
