“If it isn’t my least favorite shifter.” Vincent says as soon as he hears and recognizes his voice. “Studying the human body. Is that a crime?” He chuckles and makes his magic flow quick, making the heart pump faster in his hand. The feeling of it is almost incredible. “Tell me, Tommy, have you ever held a beating heart in your palm? The warm of life, in a weird way?”
“The one and only.” Tommy freely walked into the warehouse. Sure, Vincent intimidated him, but he wasn’t scared of him; Somehow there was a difference to Tommy. “Depends on how you acquired the body.” He offered, going to stand on the other side of the body. “Can’t say I have— Pretty sure it goes against my principles, but I’m willing to put aside principles for a minute.” Tommy let his curiosity get the better of him and held his hand out.

“It’s just, it was a slow day at work and I got a bit bored and sort of was curious about running tests on something a little more dead than my USUAL client, if you catch my drift?” Astrid shrugged a little, knowing how bizarre it must’ve sounded to any ordinary individual but she couldn’t help her curiosities. “For all we know this is the long lost skull of some famous person..like Mozart.” she chuckled at the ridiculous thought, knowing that was definitely a long stretch but she couldn’t help but entertain the idea.
“I think I’m on your wavelength.” Tommy chuckled, shaking his head. He was sure coroners were used to their jobs and obviously didn’t have a problem at the sight of dead individuals, but he certainly didn’t think anyone ever got bored and needed something more dead. “Unless you went to Austria and dug up his grave— Doubt it’s Mozart. Probably just an average Joe that wanted to rest in peace, if you catch my drift.” Tommy joked. “Don’t worry, I won’t narc on you.”

Not bothering to put the bat down, she propped it on her shoulder and shook her head in response to his question, “maybe..” she rose her eyebrows, lowering her eyes to the mail in his hands, not even by instinct did it occur to her to reach out and take her mail, especially since she was home alone, which meant she didn’t have her gloves on or nearby. brushing her hair behind her ear, she began, “oh..” she furrowed her brows, “well, thanks, umm, i guess you can just put it down and I’ll get to it.“
Tommy looked at her reaction with much curiosity. No hand out for her mail even though he had it out to her. Instead, she just looked at it; Tommy wondered if she had an issue with germs. Tommy wasn’t going to enter her house to put down her mail for her, and he certainly wasn’t going to leave it outside to blow away in the wind. “What? Tony Stark doesn’t like things to be handed to her?”

It was almost maddening being in a town that barely made any noise. As the night rolled in, Katerina could only hear the sound of crickets when she muted her television. Usually, she had the comfort of police sirens blaring and car horns being held in long notes, people laughing and swearing and making grand spectacles of noise to let her know that she wasn’t alone, but this was deafening, it was maddening, it was only her and her thoughts in this spacious house. But she couldn’t deny the sketchy characters around town that made her a bit uneasy. So when she heard her doorbell ringing, she got up, getting hold of her aluminium baseball bat, “who is it?” she called out, when she heard no answer, she held the bat up to swing, before unlocking the door and swinging it open, taking stance for a brutal hit before she sighed in relief, “why didn’t you answer when I asked who it was? I almost beat the sht out of you!”
Sorting through the mail, Thomas noticed something without his name or address was delivered to him. He sighed at the inconvenience but left his house right away because he had a tendency to forget if he left things too long. He went over and knocked. He was distracted, listening carefully to a noise he heard in the distance and not paying attention when the girl from within asked who it was. He took a step back when the door swung open and the woman in front of him held a bat up. “Didn’t hear you.” He was confused at her reaction and you could see that from the look on his face. “You expecting trouble?” He asked, an eyebrow raised, before shaking his head to himself. “Got this in the mail, think it’s yours.”

While Vincent’s skill with blood is mastered, he still likes experiment and see how far he can go with it. How much he can truly control. With all the properties of blood and its functions, the potential is nearly endless. Hence the reason for this evening’s ‘study’. How long can his magic keep this fresh human heart pumping outside of the body?
His victim was a nice homeless woman he’s frequently seen near his apartment building. It’s a shame it had to be her, but past conversations with her suggests that she has no relatives or real friends. No one would look for her and that was what he felt would make his experiment easier.
Her body laid on his table in his private warehouse, the shock and terror still etched on her face from the moment ripped the blood pumping organ from her chest. If he actually felt the emotions he pretended to feel on a regular basis, he’s almost certain that ‘guilt’ and 'horror’ would have been on his mind.
The experiment was going better than he thought. The blood that was already in the heart, along some that was previously spilled on the table and ground flowed along trendils of dark magic in and out of of the heart, causing a steady beat.
“Interesting.” Vincent muses when his door creaks open without his permission and footsteps enter. “I don’t recall extending any invitations. Give me a reason not to test on you next?” He says without looking away from his subject. He didn’t want to break his concentration after all.

Though Tommy had an instinct to keep himself and his people safe, he generally didn’t like to snoop into other peoples business. He, of course, didn’t care that he was crossing boundaries when he could smell fresh blood so strongly along with the beat of a heart. So into the warehouse he went, pushing open the door. He wasn’t exactly surprised to see that Vincent was behind whatever was going on. “For starters, you wouldn’t be able to catch me.” Tommy suggested. He wasn’t sure who was stronger between the two of them, but between being able to go temporarily invisible and being really fast when he shifted, Tommy was able to get away pretty quickly. “What is it that you’re doing?”

“This looks bad I know, but I swear it’s entirely work related and I don’t normally drag around a, well okay, I think I’m just going to shut up now, that seems like the better option here.”
“Chill, I believe you.” Tommy laughed, approaching and taking a look at the box, not at all bothered by the contents. “I’ve got to ask, why do you have a skull in a box and why are you carrying it around?”

Hello, guys! I’m Anne and I’m happy to be here. It’s been several months since I’ve been in a group RP, so be patient with me as I get back into it! I definitly don’t bite and love to plot, so please message me so we can come up with something, or just to chat! In the mean time, under the cut is a bit about Tommy.
Thomas Renaldo Solano
Age: 29
Loyalty: Soulmerian
Pack/Role: Clan of the North Star / Consultant
Species: Berserker Shapeshifter
Shifts Into: A large animal that looks like a cross between a wolf and smilodon
Career: Private Consultant and Independent Detective with the Police Department
Power: Chi Manipulation
Thomas is overall a pretty chill guy who is easy to get along with. He does tend to be very particular about things and can get obsessive over them, but people tend to find out quickly that this is not directed at them. Thomas’ special power is manipulating Chi, or the overall energy coming from your mind and body. He uses this for a variety of different things; he pretty much harvests chi and uses it to help him as a supernatural being. I’ll make a proper list of all he can do later.
