In Fall 2011, the TCU Horned Frogs traveled to Randall's Island, NY, to play in the Quidditch World Cup! We played hard and had a great time. Here are some of the highlights.
More to come!

The TCU Quidditch team had a bit of trouble getting to the Quidditch World Cup when they were forced to travel by muggle means in a contraption called an airplane... (Something about Statutes of Secrecy) First their flight was delayed several times, then canceled, and then they had to wait for the next flight, so some adventures were had in the airport.

So, while at the airport on the way to the World Cup (yes, these are late. But we just got a tumblr, so it's okay!), a few of our players got bored after our flight delay, cancellation, and reassignment.
So canoeing on the moving walk-way ensued, and brought much joy to the soon-to-be passengers on our flight.

We totally feel your pain.
Quidditch...IN HELL.
I keep seeing all these awesome posts about snow quidditch. Screw you northeastern, midwestern, northwestern teams maaan. Playing quidditch in the south is like playing in hell 24/7. Even in January, granted 75 degrees is a godmerlin-send, there’s profuse sweating at practice.

Can’t we get one nice month of freezing shitty weather?

Meanwhile first practice is tomorrow. It’ll probably end up looking like this:

Photo of a bundle of our team from QWC5.
This is what happens when Texans are exposed to cold New York weather. A quid kid pile!

If we're not practicing, we're too sore or tired to do anything.
Just as it should be.

pretty much.

I keep seeing all these posts about Snow Quidditch and get jealous.
Maybe once the annual Snowmageddon rolls around we can try it out?

We just had our first Quidditch Practice of the semester!
TCU Quidditch is back in action!
We're preparing for the LSU Mardi Gras Cup, provided we get enough players to go, and we are excited!
We played a quiddified version of Ultimate Frisbee (Ultimate Quaffle), and had a great time. Sure is good to be back on that quidditch field!
