I don't think we will ever really know ourselves or exactly what we want. That's why we surround ourselves with people that know us best and that we trust, and hopefully they can advise us a bit. The reason for living is to find something, don't you think? You're in search of love or money. Whatever it is, do you really want to find it? What if it isn't what you thought it'd be and the picture you built in your head isn't met? What happens when your reason becomes insufficient? We find a new one. Life's a buffet. We need to try and get a little taste of everything. And I know we're confused and we hurt. Boy do we hurt. But you know what, I love a little bit of difficulty from life. I don't want things on a silver platter. I like to be able to relate to people with finding love complicated, staring at maths like it's a serial killer, losing control with chocolate, etc. I don't mind what I do. But I don't want to... no... I am mentally and emotionally incapable of doing things alone. I need a person. And you? What do you survive on? I know we end up trying to find help in movies, books and songs. That's why we love some of them and hate others, because we can either relate or we can't. And sometimes when we relate to something in a not so positive way, the bond becomes stronger because that kind of pain can't be explained, but only felt. It's amazing to know that you're not in it alone. Everybody wants to have a sense of belonging.
I've never been a millionaire but I know I'd be just darling at it.- Dorothy Parker The first night I spent in New York, I bought a Vogue instead of dinner. I just felt it fed me more.- Carrie Bradshaw
I like my money where I can see it. Hanging in my closet.- Carrie Bradshaw She had a cocktail in her hand and confetti in her hair.- Kate Spade
Understated is overrated. -Kate Spade Keep your head, heels and standards high.- Blair Waldorf Whoever said money couldn't buy happiness, didn't know where to shop. -Blair Waldorf
We accept the love we think we deserve. -The Perks of Being a Wallflower
You never get over it but you get to a point where it doesn't bother you as much.- The Virgin Diaries
We are defined by opportunities. Even the ones we don't take.- The Great Gatsby Because we're all confused. Some of us spend our whole lives trying to find clarity. The rest enjoy getting lost. -Teagan Smith

It's been pouring with rain in Cape Town this week and so after cleaning out my bank account in Paris and eating all the food in my cupboards and fridge, I decided it was time to go back to the internet where I can afford things and be kept occupied for hours on end. Thinking of all the possible 'style' pieces I could bring forward to 'Kalology', I realized that after my clothes, my bedroom and cork board especially, are my second biggest time consumers where they are dripping in style, class, and a personalized touch. Here's the best of my bedroom which I hope to keep working on. I also thought that I would make my 'cork board redo' a more common occurrence from now on as it acts as a mood board- like they have in most fashion magazines. It changes every two to three months and is covered in magazine fonts, quotes and photographs. X

We Love Seattle- The City of Rain
I recently took an interest in Seattle. I was after a sense of belonging and felt that there is a city out there designed perfectly for every person and Seattle just may be mine. Reasons being: it rains (a lot which is great for my skin because it's so fair); the people are very friendly and hospitable; the city is filled with markets; there are several great universities there for me; many people are dressed simply, but so creatively that their outfit deserves an audience ( a great site to visit which is actually a blog for this is www.seattlestreetstyle.com); and finally, the street art is breathtaking with many books currently dedicated to Seattle Street Art due to things such as the 'gum wall' and all the graffiti. The pictures I have uploaded of Seattle are not my own considering I have never set foot on the city grounds before but plan and hope to within the next three years. Instead, you can find the best of Seattle in the photographs I have chosen.

Paris [noun]: a place of creativity and lights. The wonder city.
Recently, fourty two young South Africans travelled to Paris and Nice. Thirty five girls easily outnumbered the seven accompanying boys. The city never seized to amaze me. Our gorgeous and (in comparison to the French) very hipster styled Africans turned a few heads as we climbed up the Eiffel Tower, strutted down the beaches of Nice and sang through the subways. Here are a few shots I took that I feel capture the most beauty of France possible through a lens.

'Around The World' was this years fashion show theme for the grade tens. We produce the fashion show ultimately to raise money for the matric dance (prom) but the event comes across far more established than a simple charity event. It is a collection of the creativity of the young.
