It's Explorers of Sky's sweet 16 so I drew my Team Sunfluff kiddos from my randomized PMD Sky run.

Inari mused for a moment. "I think we can manage with a group this size. Let's beat this dungeon."

Avin stood in silence for a moment, stunned by the confidence of those around them. How could they all remain so levelheaded in the face of the unknown dangers in the dungeon around them? Then again, they had seen Inari’s power on display for themself. That water spout earlier disintegrated the houndoom blight in a single shot. From that alone, Avin knew they weren’t anywhere close to being on the same level as Inari, but they weren’t completely useless either. Perhaps… they could clear the dungeon!

Avin closed their eyes, took in a deep breath to steady themself, then nodded. “Okay, let’s do this then. We’ll clear this dungeon and get Kaji that Gracidea flower!”

Their self-confidence temporarily restored, Avin felt their dungeoneering senses start to kick in. “Given the presence of houndoom and sawsbuck blights, this is definitely a high-tier dungeon. How one came to be so close to a town is a question for the guild later, but knowing that tells us some vital information on how to proceed,” Avin explained. “I’ll go over this quickly. We should have enough time to make a gameplay, but I don’t want to risk another surprise attack.”

Avin flexed their paw, unsheathing a small set of claws that they began to drag through the dirt on the ground. They hoped everyone’s eyes had adjusted enough to allow them to see the diagram. “I’m not sure how dungeons work in your worlds, if they exist at all, so let me explain as briefly as possible how they function here.”

“Dungeons, for all intents and purposes, function like living beings. Some scholars even argue they ARE living creatures, but I’ll skip the philosophical debates for now.” Avin drew a box on the ground, carving a few small dots inside it. “Much like we have immune systems that fight off invaders and infections, the dungeons have one as well. You’ve already encountered it. The blights serve as the dungeon’s protectors. They attack any sort of invaders into the dungeon, in the hopes that they’ll either leave or worse, die. If someone passes in a dungeon, most of the time there’s no recovering them. There are items to help prevent it but that’s why it’s important to always come prepared. The dungeon will devour them for nutrients and use them to grow, taking over more space and creating stronger blights.

“Low-tier dungeons like Apple Woods in the east can actually be somewhat tamed if you catch it early enough. Mid-tier dungeons too, but it’s much more difficult to achieve. This allows residents in those areas to have a symbiotic relationship with the dungeon. Sky Peak is one such case.” Avin drew a few vaguely hedge-shaped creatures around the box, offering what appeared to be fruit and other items to the box. “We fed the dungeon other sources of energy besides living people and in return, it allowed us to escort tourists through and provided us with food. Though even tamed dungeons can be dangerous since you can’t just entirely shut down an immune system and they’re easy to get lost in regardless, which is why we acted as guides.”

Avin paused mid-explanation as a shiver ran up their spine. They felt it. The winds. Not good.

“High-tier dungeons like this are very dangerous. This dungeon has consumed enough people to reach a point where it’s no longer tameable, and in return, this means its immune system is extremely strong and violent. It has capabilities that are far stronger than that of a regular dungeon, like disabling items, laying traps, and even suppressing our power levels if it’s strong enough.” Avin began to draw some squiggles in the dirt. “The wind you’re feeling now is the immune system too. All dungeons have it but it’s far more active in high-tier dungeons. It allows the blights to locate us more easily, which is bad, so I won’t have us dawdle here much longer.”

Avin quickly drew a zigzag shape in the dirt. “Somewhere on this floor is a set of stairs. It could be anywhere, so we have to keep our eyes peeled. These stairs will allow us to descend further into the dungeon, and temporarily reset the blight’s response.” Avin paused to sniff the air a bit. “I always had a knack for figuring out where they were in Sky Peak, since their locations change upon entry to each floor. Kaji calls it a gift. I think it’s dumb luck. Regardless, we better hope that luck or skill comes into play here.”

Avin closed their eyes and took another deep breath in as they sniffed around. A nagging feeling came over them as they focused. Northeast. They had a feeling the stairs were northeast of them. Opening their eyes, Avin took a moment to observe their surroundings. No immediate threats. Time to move.

“If everyone’s ready, let’s get going. I’ll take point.” 

Avin’s entire demeanor shifted as they began to lead their little group through the dungeon. It seemed while they were still frightened beyond belief by the situation they had gotten into, the presence and confidence of those with them now was fueling their own drive. 

Avin perked up and began to listen more intently to their surroundings. It took a moment, but the sound was unmistakable. Wingbeats. “A flying-type blight,” Avin muttered. “Probably a larger one too based on the frequency of the flaps. The canopy should cover us for now, but we’ll need to be ready for a potential divebomb.” 

Avin paused their trot as a loud hissing suddenly filled their ears. “Tread carefully,” they warned, quickly scanning around. 

A pair of gleaming yellow and red eyes pierced through the darkness as a ghastly white arbok emerged from the underbrush, barring the party’s path forward. 

It appears the only way forward is to fight.

Lief: "Well. Actual Shaymin." He had a sort of giddy smile as he looked over the duo. "So, how's the weather down there? Imagine being so tiny."

He gave a drunken snicker.

"Wow, how original," Arin muttered with a roll of their eyes.

"Be nice," Kaji chided, giving Avin a little nudge. He raised his eyes back to Lief. It was very obvious from the smell of his breath that Lief wasn't entirely sober. Thankfully, Kaji was no stranger to dealing with drunks.

"It's wonderful down here. The cooler crisp air down here is just pleasant for our hedges," Kaji answered with a shake of his fluff. "Perhaps you could try it out sometime."

MY LITTLE BABY SHAYMIN?? FOR ME?? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

(@asktheoger) Aya let out a little squeak of delight as she sees Avin. "You're so so cute and small!!!" She exclaimed, crouching down so she could look at them. "Who are you?? You kinda look like this flying hedge thing from my Father's stories!! Do you wanna be friends???"

Kaji puffs out his chest proudly at Aya's fawning. "We ARE those flying hedge things from your father's stories. We are Shaymin, mighty warriors of the sky and protectors of nature's balance across the land."

Avin lightly smacks Kaji on his hedge and rolls their eyes. "Don't mind him, he likes to play into praise. It feeds his ego." Avin offers Aya a wide smile and looks her over quickly. "You're an ogerpon is that correct? Can't say I've seen many of your kind before, so the delight is as much ours is it is yours." Avin bows their head a little. "My name is Avin and this is my p- mm... adventuring partner, Kaji. And I think I can speak for both of us when I say, we'd love to be your friend."

M has brought Pizzas Give you a box filled with your favorite pizza and if you don't like pizza the box has your favorite dessert

The shaymin both quickly leap out of the way as the pizza box is set in front of them. Their eyes widen in delight as the box opens to reveal an Ultimate Veggie Pizza.

"This smells absolutely divine!" Kaji practically shouts in delight.

Avin's mouth waters and they nod their head enthusiastically. "Oh this is going to taste so good."

Both shaymin look up at M and shake their hedges in an excited thanks. "This is wonderful. Thank you so much for the delightful meal!"

(@lightofunova)Reshi@Avin/Kaji: Noticing the two smaller puffballs that had entered the tower, she approaches them, kneeling to their level. “Well hello there! I don’t think I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting a Shaymin before…” She smiles widely at both of them. “I do hope you enjoy yourselves tonight, is there anything I can assist you with or fetch for you?”

Avin and Kaji both straighten up in attention as Reshi approaches them. They bow to her (or at least as best as two rather small hedges with stubby legs can) in respect.

"Thank you very much for letting us attend," Avin says. "It's our pleasure to be able to attend and I hope we make a great first impression of our kind. Happy to answer any questions you might have about us!"

"At the moment, there's nothing we need, but we'll holler if we need something." Kaji offered Reshi a broad smile. "Thank you again for letting us swing by!"

(teamsunfluff) Kaji scampers up to Aya and Kenji's side eagerly. "Other visitors, perfect! Hello there, tall ones," he says with a large grin. "What brings you to this fine tower today?"

“I’m here to have fun!! And meet new friends!! And try lots of good food!! And do that truth-or-dare thingie!! And to have a pillow fight!! I wanna do everything!!!” Aya explains.

“And I’m mainly here to keep an eye on my daughter,” Kenji adds. “Though, I’d like to explore and meet some new people as well!”

LoU Sleepover Intro

“Oof!” Avin hit the stone of the tower face first with a quiet ‘thwap’. Their spherical body rolled a bit forward before coming to a stop belly up. They barely had time to react before Kaji was tossed through the air and landed square on top of them. “Ack-! Kaji-!”

“Sorry, sorry!” Kaji quickly scrambled off of Avin and helped the other shaymin right themself before looking back towards the portal through whence they came. “Those landings never get any easier, eh?”

“You’re telling me,” Avin grumbled as they got to their feet.

The portal hummed loudly before abruptly closing, leaving the two shaymin at the foot of the tower. Avin cast their gaze around the nearby landscape and frowned a little. “Why would Guildmaster Hrímfaxi send us here? This place doesn’t appear to have anything of aid towards our world.”

“Oh Avin, always so quick to judge,” Kaji said with a click of his tongue. He gestured with his head towards the tower above them. “Can’t you hear the people inside? There’s a gathering of sorts going on. Come on! Let’s go check it out and see what’s up.”

Avin hummed a bit as they mused over the thought before shrugging. “Sure, just don’t stray too far from me alright?”

“Swear on Sky Peak. Now let’s go!” Kaji grabbed Avin’s neck scarf and gently tugged on it, leading his teammate into the tower.

(@askobliviatwo) Zlato@Vivian Zlato was very awkward, trying to make a light conversation starter with a complete stranger. "So. Um. I-I noticed the Dreepy hybrid over there knows you pretty well, how did you two meet?"

" Ah yes, the question of our meeting. I should have assumed that would've come up sooner or later. " Vivian slowly turned towards the Mewtwo, a gentle smile on xeir lips while they idly twirled the braided bit of hair xe had. " Truthfully, I owe Mint a great deal. "

" A while back, I, embarrassing as it is to admit, fell into an ambush. Several powerful Hollow Pokémon, specifically made to counter whatever I might've done. They nearly had me cornered, but thankfully, a team was already sent out from the Phantom Guild and Mint just so happened to be in that group. "

Vivian turned xeir gaze towards the ceiling as they thought back on the further details of what had happened. " Truthfully, I don't know if it was from her sudden proximity to a massive amount of Fairy Aura awakening something, or if it was purely emotional, but she did something in that instant that would normally have been impossible for her, a Dragon and Normal type, to do... She used a Fairy-type move. I do not know what move it was- it was over by the time I had blinked- but I could sense it. "

" I recalled a favor Aster asked of me, part of which was to help a young dragon hone the power of her aspect so that it didn't destroy her body, and I realized that this was what they were referring to. I am unsure how, but that Shaymin has a positively terrifying accuracy. Either way, had Mint and her friends not arrived that day, I likely would not have walked away as myself... Another Legendary fallen to Hollow. "

" In fact, some have even caught brief glimpses of the result of this training, such as that Shaymin she helped a few months ago. "

“Missing?” Avin said in shock, “Are there any leads as to what may have happened to them? Surely this is a cause of grave concern for the general populace!”

Avin trots after Burhalla. "Shadow Pokemon? I'm vaguely familiar with the term, but I can't say I know a lot about them. Can you tell me what you know? And how does one go about this... "purifying" process?"

Burhalla paused, and turned to look at the Shaymin. "Oh, hi! Don't see Shaymins often around here."

His tailflame then dims. "Shadow Pokemon...we have no idea what causes them, but...sometimes Pokemon go missing, and when they're found, they're Shadow Pokemon. Shadow Pokemon are Pokemon that can feel very few positive emotions, only empathy and concern."

"To purify them...they're taken to a Tapu's shrine. Then, if you follow the rules of the shrine, the Tapu purifies them."

Burhalla looks down. "But...recently, two of the Tapus have gone missing, too."
