Legit a real dream I had recently, and it was so funny I had to draw it out.

A bit of necessary backstory you probably weren't taught in western history class: During the 1800s, western Europe along with Russia, USA, and Japan were trying their hardest to colonize (and terrorize) China (which culminated in what was called the "Eight Nation Alliance"). The most symbolic tragedy of that era, that every Chinese kid knows about, was the burning of the Summer Palace, or "Yuanmingyuan". French and British soldiers set fire to everything and looted as much as they could, and around 300 maids and eunuchs perished in that event.

I dreamed that a maid and a eunuch were holding each other in that fire, with the maid tearfully promising the eunuch that she would find him again. I don't know what their relationship was - platonic or romantic - but they felt deeply for each other. And then my dream skips a thousand years where they're reborn. The ex-eunuch (lol) realizes that the scary, big man that always hangs around him is the cute little maid that he had an ambiguous relationship with in that previous life.

I was so shocked and amused by this plot twist in my own dream that I woke up. It's such a good concept that I am drawing more parts, and part 2 is on my Patreon @ januarysun!

Continuing my little game 'stick stone circles in unexpected places', resin, wood and stone acorn with a portal. I think a galvanized oak leaf and a couple of rustic beads would be good for a necklace.
