Got it. Tasty treat. He’ll eat some. Save some for the two legs that he likes. But eat some still. Not here though. Too many feet. Too many eyes. Away he goes. Dragging his victim.
Up the flat limbs. Climb climb climb. Sticks that lead to other flat limbs. That lead to vines two legs use for climbing. But not there. Only when his two legs goes. Not now. Needs to find his spot.
Here. Vines make a nest beside the thing that turns. Dragging his meal with him. Eating his prize. His prize that’s what. But then THEN—
Grabbed and squeezed! A high pitched squeak before–fangs find flesh. Not his fault. Not his fault! Nasty tasting two legs interrupted.
Dropped and he scurries away, offend and indigent. Baring teeth for which he has so been named. Beady little eyes narrowing at the two legs that dared attempt grabbing him.
The one that’s now standing between him and his prize.
“Squeeeeak!” <That’s mine!>

Teeth generally speaking goes into hiding on his own, right before an eating. Mostly because he learned his lesson the one time he did wander top side during a fight; and quite literally almost got blown into tiny bits by a canon ball.
