Making Of The Chemise Top:
1. Drafting pattern and cutting out from Chiffon

2. Hemming the edges-
I had a lot of problems caused by the slippery material, the stitching was very uneven and caused the fabric not to catch underneath in places, especially to begin with. I decided to do double rolled hems to make the seams as neat as possible, because the second roll was much more stable to stitch onto so has a cleaner finish.

3. The Finished Chemise Top
Ready for the heat transfer design to be printed.
(ties will be added afterwards to avoid them tangling in the heat press)

Vintage Vogue Covers
All dating from the 1920s. Found on the (American) Vogue Archieve website. I am really drawn to the distinctive linear illustration style of Art Deco fashion illustrations and plan to combine the magazine covers with my own prints to act as fashion visualisations.
