A little while ago, before my vacation, I posted pics of a handmade book I’d created to use as a travel journal on my trip to Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria. I’m happy to say that I was diligent about working on it throughout the duration of my holiday, and as a result I’m now the proud owner of a lovely, (extremely) chunky book full of travel memories in the form of brochure clippings, receipts, photos, business cards, writing, and assorted ephemera. I’m glad present Laurel took the time to do this, as I know that future Laurel will be very happy to have it! 😊

In the process of curating all those bits and pieces of memorabilia, I realized that I’m actually fairly smitten with the process of junk journaling, and want to continue the practice even when I’m not on vacation - so today, my everyday junk journal was born, and this is its first page. I’m using an insert that came with my new leather Wanderings traveler’s journal, and I think it’s going to be lovely to work with. Looking forward to documenting my days!

I wasn’t planning on teaching Annie Taylor, CZT’s 💙⚙️💚Steampunk Seahorse💚⚙️💙 ZentangleⓇ-Inspired Art (ZIA) class another time - but since Dee spent so much time teaching me some needle felting projects, I thought this would be a fun way to return the favour! Meet our creations - Alfonse (Dee’s) and Horace the Sea-Horace (mine)!
